BRAVO Cucina Italiana - Cranberry Township - Cranberry
BRAVO! Cranberry is located just 25 miles outside of Pittsburgh off of Route 79. We are 5 miles from Westinghouse World Headquarters and the Mario Lemieux complex. We are also 10 miles away from the Ross Park Mall and are surrounded by many hotels.
Our food did not come out for an hour and the quality of the food was not up to par. The service was good as our server did a nice job. The chicken was dry and the appetizer was of low quality. I was wondering why there were so many tables open on a Saturday night at 7pm.
The menu has changed and all my favorites are gone! It’s an Italian restaurant and the pasta is horrible. I think Olive Garden is more of an Italian restaurant these days than Bravos. It was Saturday night at 6:30 and the place had lots of available seating. What’s that telling you!
Bland lobster bisque, soggy chopped salad soaked in dressing. The spaghetti bolognese was decent.
Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, even though the restaurant was very busy. We wanted to take our time to enjoy our meal without being rushed, her timing was perfect so that we did not have to deal with everything showing up at our table at once.
Good food. Loud atmosphere.
Our waitress was excellent! She was efficient and very personable!
We have been going to this Bravo for years and have enjoyed it. When we got to the restaurant it was 6:22 and our reservation was at 6:30 and the young lady at the hostess desk said we will call you closer to your reservation time. In the meantime there was more empty tables than full ones. I said something to her and she then said the wait staff was limited so they were trying to guage their seatings. We had a good waitress but the service was slow. Hate to see that happening and hope it doesn't affect the future at the restaurant.
I can always count on Bravo for a great meal. Service is efficient and polite and the food is always great.
Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. Our food and drinks came at a good time—we were not waiting long for it. The food was delicious. Very good experience.
Very good service and food.
Our server was polite, efficient and quick.
The meal was wonderful and we all enjoyed it very much.
We thought it would have been more crowded for a Sunday after church, but it was not.
When we go out to dinner we expect to spend at least an hour to an hour and a half enjoying our dinner. We both ordered salads which were promptly delivered to the table. As we began to eat our entrees came. We were done within a half an hour. During that time our server came to the table several times asking if we needed boxes or could she take our meals which were not even half eaten. If we wanted to go to a fast food restaurant we would have. The food was good though.
We enjoy eating at Bravo anytime we find ourselves in Cranberry at mealtime. The chicken parmigiana is always my go to dinner and the pasta that accompanies it is very tasty. I get so much that I almost always bring home one of the two pieces. My wife found the caprese chicken very good and too brought part of a piece home. The molten chocolate cake is a delicious way to complete a meal. My wife had the Italian wedding soup and I had the salad. Both were very tasty but we felt the cost could be a little better as an add on to the meal. Nonetheless, we would always get these to accompany our dinners.
Very busy house for the evening meal on Father's Day. Very glad we made the reservation as walk-ins were quoted 60-90 waits. Seated promptly and server appeared quickly. Food was good to very good. Kitchen facilitator was good at keeping the line moving, but pretty loud. Despite the crowd our food came at a reasonable pace. I had the lasagna which was good but maybe a little rich (heavy on the cheese sauce. Full disclosure: I am a local but have been in California for 30+ years so have grown accustomed to lighter fare. But I'm still a fan of lasagna when I go out. Had a reasonably priced bottle of some Italian Pinot Grigio. Overall noise level was reasonable considering the crowd.
Had a 6:00 reservation and waited 20 minutes to be seated. Beyond that, service and food were good.
The food used to be very good at this location. Yesterday, for Father’s Day it was terrible! The restaurant was not busy at all when we arrive and that should have been a sign that things are going down hill.
Food is ok but needs more enhancement.
Service is slow at both Bravo locations not sure if they understaff or the waiters are just slow. Limited menu it seemed at this location.
We had a group of 13 so we had a private room in the back for my mothers 96th birthday. Therefore it was quiet and private. Our waitress was superb! I apologize I forget her name but she was so attentive to our needs and made our visit to Bravo's special. The food selection was great for lunch with the half portion entrees with a choice of soup or salad. I am on a gluten free diet and was pleasantly surprised to have the salmon dish ( instead of always eating a salad) and it was packed with flavor! We all had a wonderful time and Mom hasn't stopped saying how delicious her lasagna was. BRAVO to BRAVO'S for making our event the best!
The best Italian food I have had!!
Excellent service! David was an amazing waiter! Will be coming back often!
The pass three times that I have had dinner at Bravo, the quality of the food was definitely not up to normal standards for Bravo.
Excellent service and food. Booth waiting for us per request per Open Table reservation. Open Table reservations ALWAYS work.
Eggplant was soggy and greasy, pasta was cold. Second time I’ve had an inferior meal here. Would not recommend this location
Our favorite when driving this way. Delicious new menu and the food tastes like my mother's. Highly recommend, especially since they have customer service down to perfection, and the chef is fabulous. Also along the main route on and off the PA Turnpike.
We have been going to Bravo’s for 15 years and this was the worst experience. The eggplant Parmesan was over cooked with poor taste. The waiter never even checked to see how it was. The chicken Marsala was tough. The restaurant was largely empty. Now we know why!1
Had lunch for mothers day. The food was just ok. Service was great. It was ridiculously loud in the restaurant. We sat next to the open kitchen. Chef and servers yelling out orders. Open kitchens are so 10 years ago. if they change this, it would greatly cut down on the noise. no desire to eat there again..couldn't hear each other over the noise.
Was sat 30 minutes after reservation time. Food used to be better before Bravo paired down their menu in half and form this felt like there was limited options. I feel the food was okay but not worth the money paid for. Waitress was nice but felt like we didn't see her for awhile and therefore everything was slower and didn't get refills on drinks or bread timely or at all.
It was so busy because it was Mother's Day eve. The staff was so nice and gracious eventhough they were working so hard to get everyone served. We had a very nice time. Thank you Bravo Cranberry!
Had a 5:30 reservation for the Saturday before Mother’s Day but weren’t seated until 6:15. We waited at the table for 15 minutes, and no one came to help us so we flagged someone down. My wife had a glass of wine in which both the glass and container from which the wine was poured were both filthy. Our table ordered four salads, one of which was incorrect so it was replaced (more on this later). We had two small children with us so we requested their kids meals come out as soon as possible as it was already much later than expected. When our meals arrived only the adult offerings were served...we had to request the kids meals again. Two of the four adult meals were lackluster in taste and quantity.
When the check arrived the total was $76. We assumed items had been comped given the issues we had experienced. When our waitress returned after swiping my card the bill was now $116 (explanation given was that not all items had been included in the initial bill we saw). Reviewing the check more carefully showed the correct items listed with the addition of one salad...they charged us for an extra salad for the one that was incorrect. The extra salad was taken off the bill, but it was just one more reason why this was an extremely poor experience.
This was a restaurant we enjoyed meeting family at in the past, but we’ll be looking for a different spot for future meals.
Food was very good and waitress was nice and attentive without being overbearing.
Food was very salty. Menu doesn’t change. Boring. Unhealthy & poor quality food.
Waitress was exceptional... menu was okay but limited... was not crowded and was seated right away... other restaurant’s in the area were crowded... wondering if the menu was the reason?
We have family members in the area, as we live in New England, so every time we visit, this Bravo is our meeting place for a wonderful dinner. Never disappoints in any aspect of helping us to make family memories. The food is delicious and the service always attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to return.
My birthday at a table ..... a gourmet selection of perfectly prepared food and wine at a price just above your average restaurant. I recommend Bravo to any one who truly wants to celebrate special occasions.
Appetizers -- plate -- wine and dessert for a "inclusive" price.
Food and service were great
We have been patronizing this restaurant ever since it opened, which is probably close to 20 years. My oldest daughter got her first job here. It's one of the first places we think of when we want something a little nicer than most of the restaurants in this area. We know that the biggest issue is that it's so popular, there is always a wait for a table, especially on a weekend night. When my wife and I decided to come this Saturday, I checked, and wow, they accepted OpenTable reservations. This is great I thought!, no wait. I was a bit suspicious that they seemed to have available reservations every 15 minutes. We selected 7:30. We showed up a few minutes late, and because of that, I expected we would have to wait a little. There was a lot of turn over, so I didn't expect it to be too long. They were quoting 30 minutes for walk ups, about normal. Then we discovered that "reservation" doesn't mean what you think it means at Bravo. We were seated approximately in the order of arrival, 25 minutes after the reservation time, within a few minutes of no reservation. About 7 two tops were seated before us, plus a couple larger parties.
The kitchen was very slow. It was about 30 minutes from order to main course, and all we had besides the mains was a soup, which was delivered promptly. We waited a very long time for our desert order and by that time half the tables were empty.
The soup (black bean) was excellent. My wife's lasagna was as we remember it: huge portion, lots of meat sauce, lots of cheese, very tasty. My Shrimp Fra Diavolo was not what I am used to. They skimped on the sauce, the shrimp was a bit overcooked and the dish served lukewarm. Desert was great.
Our server was very good. Attentive, friendly, accurate, helpful.
But the non-reservation reservation really was disappointing. We'll be back, but perhaps not as often, and we certainly won't bother trying to reserve a table, since they don't really reserve anything.
First of all the place was too cold. People were wearing jackets while eating. I actually would have needed a hat and gloves to be comfortable. When telling the Mgr about it she claimed it was due to a banquet room door being open and closed it, but nothing changed the cold air conditioning was blowing on us. Now to the food, I always thought chicken parm had cheese and sauce over the chicken. But what i was served was a over cooked fried too hard chicken without any cheese or sauce on it. The side of angel hair was red in tint but also dry without sauce. The server was clueless and never checked on us throughout the meal. That is two bad meals in the last month at Bravo and i will never return.
GramMa and Great GramMa want to have their family B Day dinner here. The staff & food always make a hit.
