Went for a birthday get together on a very cold snowy night. We understood they were down servers but also way down on customers so did not expect any issues.
Multiple issues with drink and meal orders which seemed weird, better communication would have helped.
I enjoy the space but always seem to have issues when we go there.
One of my favorite. The lobster bisque and shrimp scampi pasta are fantastic.
Had their calamari appetizer - portion size ridiculously small & tough ( was much better in the past), Chicken scallopini was overcooked hence dry & tough. Side of spaghetti pesto also dry & almost no pesto flavor. A thoroughly miserable meal.
Quiet and easy to talk. Good service. Food was good.
Service was great, veal parm was good. Lobster ravioli was not good unfortunately.
Great hospitality and great food. The place was very neat.
Decent food. Service was too slow and lacked followed up
Always enjoy the Insalata della casa. With new pasta dishes, there is a lot to choose.
I like pasta dishes. The shrimp scampi was just ok. It needed more garlic and sauce. Our group was split on who liked and just thought their food was OK.
Everything was just ok. Unexceptional dining experience from start to finish.
New menu has some old favorites. We always enjoy the bolognaise sauce. Too bad they have dropped linguine. The house salad is a must. The kitchen divided it for us
Overall it was a pleasant evening. The waitress should have been more attentive and when a well done steak arrived instead of the medium rare steak that was order she should have been more proactive in getting the right steak back to our table. Everyone was finished eating by the time the other steak dinner was brought out. When asked about the replacement steaks status the waitress simply said she didn’t know and made no attempt to find out. Please train your people better.
In spite of being connected to the Briarwood Mall, Bravo feels quiet and relaxed. The interior is comfortable and inviting with low lighting and comfortable seating. Service is attentive and food is quickly and efficiently served. The new menu is a bit reduced from the previous version but there are still plenty of good choices. The extensive kids menu makes it dinning at Bravo easy for all ages. Big tables make group meals fun.
We had a large group and our waiter was excellent
Food was great as always
One of my go to places for a quick casual or elegant meal. The new menu has a pasta bolognaise sauce on spaghetti which was a little dry and short on sauce. The insalata della casa was wonderful as always
Food entree was delicious, however for the price of the side salad our group felt it was not sizable enough. There was hardly any lettuce.
Lobster ravioli was excellent but the shrimp dish and spaghetti and meatballs were small servings for the price. Great for groups
Always great food ! The service is always excellent! Never had a bad experience !
Food presentation was wonderful. My dinner was on the salty side. Server may have been new...she seemed unsure of things
Overall the restaurant has very good food with attentive servers. Our food was hot and fresh and everything was made as ordered. It's definitely a chain and not a lot of local flair or flavor but it was a great meal, especially for the value.
We've eaten at this Bravo! location several times, and overall probably 10+ times at several other spots. This meal was up to their usual high standards. Enjoyed the Italian Wedding soup - rich broth, nicely seasoned; Bravo! chop salad - a nice Mediterranean mix; and the veal Parmesan. The veal was to die for; tender cut of veal; browned with a nice crisp breading; and sauced. Asked the waitress to pass on our compliments to the management... and learned that she was the general manager, filling in due to absences! We had noticed that one of the chefs was occasionally bringing out food but otherwise had no idea that they were shorthanded.
My husband and I had a reservation at 6pm for dinner after walking at the mall. We got seated right away as it was not a busy week night. We were seen right away by Gabriella and we both ordered the Italian Wedding Soup, which I’ve actually had before as a take out. It was loaded with those tiny meatballs and the flavor was delicious. I ordered the Lobster Ravioli with Shrimp and it was absolutely divine and a good portion for being only 610 calories. I couldn’t even finish it all. My husband ordered the Salmon Dinner and he said it was wonderful and it was a huge portion. We had a great time, wonderful food and amazing service and we will return, soon.
We’ve dined here regularly for many months. Unusual evening.
Service was not responsive. Waitress didn’t seem to know menu. Asked for food not to be seasoned at all. Wanted a plain grilled pork chop which we have have many many times. Manager said that chops had all been seasoned already. Ordered Plain Salmon with string beans . Salmon was good. Vegetable was strongly salted. Manager said sorry and offered to replace with another item, but most of table had finished their meals. Waitress uninterested. Unhappy customers.
Think more upscale Olive Garden. Their menus are similar except Bravo's is more expensive with less food. The food was pretty good overall. What didn't work well was the service. We had a super friendly guy that still needs to work on his waiting skills.
Ordered appetizer, never entered (entered after entrees brought out and comped to make up for inconvenience.) Asked for drink refills but he forgot a couple times. Asked if we could box up our leftovers, he said yes, and then proceeded to take our dishes anyway and box in the back.
Asked for pen to sign our bill with, never came back with pen. We had to talk to hostess, she couldn't find a pen. Finally found a pencil... umm, I'm not signing a bill with pencil. :) Finally had to borrow a pen from a fellow diner.
Even the above would be fine (really, we're not normally that picky) but what lost stars for Bravo eventually is the slooow service. We went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was *maybe* 20% full. Yet, it took us 1hr + 55 min for dinner from start to finish. Not sure if it was the cooks or the waitstaff that's responsible for the long service times but either way, not pleasant.
Anyway, I'm sure others have better experiences than we did but for Ann Arbor, there are a lot better choices for Italian in their price range (think Palio's or Mani Osteria downtown, or Paesano's on the east side. )
3 stars for the food, 2 stars for overall value.
Everyone’s dinner was fabulous. There were 6 of us, at a round table, on a Thursday evening! Love, love, loved the round table, for conversation! Food served hot and accurate. Our waiter was super efficient and friendly! Thanks, for a lovely night out, for dinner, with 3 couples!
Great dinner. Lobster bisque, ceasar salad and lasagna dinner. Drinks were great as was the service from Page.
We had a solid meal - and appropriate for dinner business discussion.
Our server did not provide a good dining experience. We had to ask for things that a professional server should automatically do as part of good table service. It marred our dining experience.
1) had to ask that our appetizer dishes be cleared after they had been there for at least 10 min.
2) had to ask for sugar for iced tea, twice
3) had to ask for refill of iced tea, which was room temp. / no ice!
We do like the restaurant’ but it seems like they have had the same menu for at least a year..a chnge would be welcome!
Great service and food
Parking space is limited. We had to circle around and around to find an available parking spot within the reasonable distance from the restaurant.
Great food ! Great service ! Have never had a bad experience !! One of my husband and I favorite restaurant !!
Bravo is consistently good. The servers are well trained. They are friendly and professional. The food is always good.
Service was very attentive, food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed the experience. The birthday dessert was mouth watering delicious.
Mama's Lasagna was some of the best I've had, and my wife really enjoyed the chicken parm. The service, atmosphere, and overall experience was very good. This was a great choice for Sunday lunch.
We always enjoy the house salad and since we split one, the chef split it before it was brought to the table. The Restaurant week meal was very good. Not what I usually order, but good
I've been to Bravo several times with my family and it was always a pleasant experience. It is somewhat pricey if you dine with kids and they don't split the bill with you :). Costco sells the giftcards for Bravo at a significant discount which cuts the meal price making it more affordable. I like the fact that the tables are standing reasonably far from each other, so you don't end up eavesdropping on the conversations of others. The booths are nice as well.
My glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc did not taste fresh and for over $16/glass I expect better. This was our first time there. Service was great though.
The food here was very bland. We had a party of three and none of us enjoyed our food. The drinks were delicious. We each ordered one, so we tried three different things.
Our overall experience was just "ok". We were greeted by a less than friendly hostess who appeared to be annoyed to be there. Our server was okay. He would interrupt conversations at our table while "auctioning off" food. Instead of saying "excuse me". It's a pet peeve of mine when servers yell out "who had the -----??" Write down the orders in specific order. The last irritation was that not all of dinners were brought out at one time. We had 6 people eating and 2 dinners were served about 2-3 minutes after the others. Not sure I'd recommend this place or return at this point. BTW-it was Mother's Day and not at a busy time of day. Food is really just ok, nothing great.
