   They gave us a very special anniversary experience and I did not feel bad about spending extra on the meal because it was the best food with an excellent presentation

   The best way to describe Braven was hit & miss. My short rib was excellent, the garlic bun appetizer was excellent. The drinks were good. My wife's $75 7oz Tenderloin was average, but when it came with no side or plating except for a cheap quarter slice of onion on a blank plate that was terrible. Our waitress was pleasant & nice, the seating hostess was awkward as was the table bus lady. The menu printing should be updated, the printing is very small and hard to read in the dim light. In summary the price point on the beef dishes does not match the experience. We have been to a lot of great comparable restaurants in Edmonton. Would this rate this establishment as average when factoring in the price point of the experience.

   Wrote this review because the ratings didn’t actually reflect this restaurant accurately. Been here before a few years ago and it was great but look like now it has dropped off considerably since then. Order two eggs Benny and pancakes. No meat sub for bacon, eggs were not poached soft they were near hard, no runny yoke. Veg sub was overcooked. Bread felt stale. Potatoes were the decent thing. Pancakes looked like they were made by a child. Forgot to include the requested sides and the description on menu was deceiving. Service was very slow. Took more than an hour from when we sat down to when we got our food. Water coffee went unreplenished for long periods and overall minimal attentiveness. Everything took so long we didnt address the food with server as we didn’t want to wait another hour for everything. This was on Mother’s Day at 12:30pm. We were hoping to blow mom away but unfortunately it was a flop. I’ll give it another try for the watch party experience and let’s see how that goes.

   This was our second time at Braven. It is a beautiful restaurant. We went for Mother's Day today. The food took almost an hour to come out. The waffle was very dry, everything was barely warm. The service was sadly not great. She never apologized for how long it took. She was not very personable and seemed annoyed for no reason. We will be back because our first experience at dinner was great but it wasn't worth the money for breakfast.

   Took almost an hour to get our food. VERY expensive for a mediocre at best meal. Quite loud and too many tvs for a restaurant on Mother’s Day. Won’t be back

    So we arrived at 5:10 because we had to leave at 6:40 for the oilers game , all the tables around us were full , we had a reservation. Our drinks and food came dead last , the waiter was being RUDE the entire service and dismissive when I asked 4 separate times about our food and drinks. Our food didn’t come until 6;35 , guaranteed he FORGOT to ring in our food as everyone around us had already LEFT we were the only table left sitting , and had no food. We come to Braven often and I did not deserve to be treated this way by an arrogant waiter with an attitude problem. I asked for the manager TWICE , he never came! This is definitely not a coincidence he was targeting me and my friend.
