The food was wonderful and the staff was attentive. Great place for my first date.
The place was packed and the usual attentive service was impacted. Specials were, as always, very good. I had the grouper special, prepared Mediterranean style. They ran out of it. My favorite ice cream is, and always will be their white Russian ice cream. I tried the Grand Marnier/ginger ice cream this time.
My wife and I decided to try a new place this weekend and Brave New restaurant was what we decided on. Everything was fantastic, our food was all delicious. I had the Walleye special and my wife had the beef tenderloin. This was the best piece of fish I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked, very sweet and flavorful. It was almost like eating crab. I also got a couple jumbo scallops, ala carte, and they were also the best I’ve ever had. The beef was tender and cooked perfectly. It had amazing flavor! For dessert we had the chocolate creme brule, and that was outstanding as well. Wanted to bring special attention to our waiter, Ryan. This is the only time I’ve ever been to a restaurant where a server was extremely enthusiastic about the food, and working there. I was super impressed with his ability to describe the food we would be having.
We will absolutely be back and I want no other server other than Ryan, so we will call ahead to make sure we are in his section.
Peter Brave was cooking tonight. The food and service was impeccable.
Oysters, brie, wine, beautiful evening, view of river and good conversation with friends. We were there 2 hours and did not feel rushed. Food was very good, service friendly. I thought our 6pm reservation would mean the place would be empty but other diners knew this was a place to relax and enjoy. By 7pm no table was empty. I saw no kids, and it was nice to enjoy an adult dinner and conversation without kids in background.
Outstanding food and service as always. We were lucky enough to get a table out on the deck and with absolutely perfect weather, it made for a most memorable night. The scallops are always a favorite and the grouper special was delicious. Can't ever go wrong with Brave New especially when it is deck weather.
I enjoy the restaurant and can appreciate the offerings, however, this particular evening the food was just not great. This place stays very busy and it could be that it is just not for me.
Perfect outdoor dining experience. Weather was perfect. View nice. Shade came over table. Good service! French onion soup was great. Lobster roll good but not great. Lobster is so often tasteless if not done right and the bun was overwhelming and the sauce got the bun soggy. Grouoer Was good. Side vegetables were a bit dry. Chocolate creme brûlée worth a special trip. Overall great experience
We made an early evening reservation with the hope of snagging a table out on the deck (covid, you know) and that worked. Very quiet, just the ducks on the river and low conversation around us. And as always, my ahi and my wife's walleye, the shrimp avocado appetizer, the mushroom soup and the other bits were perfect.
The outdoor view was just beautiful, weather was awesome, service and food phenomenal. I would highly recommend this place. We had an awesome evening.
Lunch on the patio at Brave New is always a treat. The weather was perfect, and we could have stayed all afternoon. The shrimp crepes were outstanding, and the service was impeccable, as always.
I loved my experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and easy to enjoy due to the ambiance. I hope this restaurant maintains its calm and quiet environment. At other restaurants, I can hardly think about how the food tastes it is so loud!
Eat here often, always top quality never lets us down
We had a wonderful meal.
Celebrating my husband’s promotion
Food and service superb. Our guests from Virginia were delighted with restaurant ambience. A nearly full moon in the sky topped off the wonderful evening.
It’s a beautiful space with wonderful staff. As always the food was delicious. We enjoy that the owner/head chef always comes around to visit.
We loved everything. It started to storm when we were sitting outside and the staff moved quickly. We were eating outside. They moved us in really quick. They were all very nice and quick to fix things.
Really enjoyed the walleye special and the duck 2 ways! Great service by Ben!
It is always excellent every time we go!
The food is always fresh and deliscious!
The food was great, it was a beautiful night for the patio overlooking the river. We enjoyed our anniversary dinner.
Brave New delivers consistently good food and service and dining on the deck with views of downtown, the Arkansas River, and the North Little Rock shore is a phenomenal experience — peaceful and relaxing. Have yet to be disappointed with the venerable Brave New Restaurant — after years of dining there.
It was delicious. A generously proportioned gourmet meal. Waiter was amazing. Well worth it and a great view!
Incredible dinner, always impressed with the meal and the service.
My first time here, the ambiance was amazing. I’d never had halibut but the way the server described it, sounded great! So I took a chance & I’m glad I did! Overall, delicious food, great location. I’ll definitely go back!
Great food and service in a beautiful setting by the Arkansas River.
Awesome service, amazing food, great atmosphere !! Will be back soon
OUR EVENING AT BRAVE NEW RESTAURANT WAS AS ENJOYABLE AS I COULD IMAGINE. KUDO'S TO THE CHEF AND STAFF
A couple of miles out of town but well worth the ride. The restaurant in what looks like an office building and overlooks the Arkansas river with wonderful views. We sat on the deck and were treated to a sighting of a bald eagle. Amazing. The menu is creative and the food is well prepared and presented. The Heirloom tomatoes with burrata and a corn relish as an appetizer could have been a meal and were terrific. A duck breast served with duck sausage was special. The wine list was thoughtful and reasonable. All in all a wonderful meal. A must go to if in Little Rock.
Pretty hard to beat the lobster roll, but the BLT is INCREDIBLE when tomatoes are in season.
Wonderful fresh dishes! Loved the special of the day, the Ahi Tuna, superb! We sat out on the deck and the ambience was lovely. The waitstaff was super nice, attentive and I can't say enough nice things about it. We'll be back.
The food and environment were amazing as always, but the service last night was sub-par for what we know is the norm for Brave New. We believe the waiter may have been new as we’ve never seen him there before, but we had to ask about specials for each course, we were not offered a choice between soup or salad or different type of salad, so when salads emerged, one had to be sent back to exchange it for the soup that was wanted, and our entrees took over an hour to arrive. We believe that the order was forgotten and not submitted to the kitchen when we placed it, but we were offered no explanation for the long delay. Again, everything else was perfect (wouldn’t mind seeing more of Leo though) and we feel that this particular waiter was new, so we didn’t cause a scene; we understand that everyone needs the time to learn and we’ve been dining here for years and we know that this is not the usual standard of service at Brave New, so we just enjoyed a much longer meal than usual and will definitely be back.
Great food. Our waitress was Erin, she was great as well. We really liked that Peter Brave went around and greeted all of his tables. You hardly see that. Great experience!
My daughter celebrated her 11th birthday along with friends and they had a very wonderful outstanding meal. Peter, the owner of Brave New actually came out greeted them. He also asked the kids if they wanted to meet his dog. Therefore, they enjoyed a wonderful dinner and spend time with Leo, the dog. Outstanding
customer service and a birthday to remember!
Always good menu items and service. Never noisy.
Perfect weather for outdoor dining. Food and service were incredible as always.
The indoor dining area and outdoor balcony overlooking the River are both very nice. This is upstairs so a little hard to find the first time. Go in the center doors and up one floor and then way down the hall. Both of us had the vegetarian meal, Mushroom Wellington with a nice outer pastry puff and asparagus on the side. The printed menu is a little limited right now but they also many specials. We had the heirloom tomato appetizer plate and they tasted great, like in the old days. The bread was marvelous. We’d go again that it. Our server and all were very friendly.
Fabulous food and longtime efficient staff. Most consistent of high-end restaurants in the entire state. An easy decision to take guests. Heirloom tomato appetizer in-season is very special, as are all their seafood dishes. Peter Brave is a hands-on chef/owner and it shows.
We were immediately seated at a lovely table by the window. Our waitperson, Jack was a delight all evening. We ordered drinks and they were served in a timely manner.
The selections were excellent. I had the tune and ordered it rare....as it was served. It was delicious. My husband ordered the stuffed salmon. He loved it. All in all it was a wonderful evening. We'll be back!
Such a beautiful restaurant with incredible views, food, and service!
