   I've eaten at this restaurant a handful of times. This was a business dinner and I was a little disappointed. Service was friendly but a little slow, and no offer of dessert. My colleagues had friend chicken and were happy with it. I had the steak and did not like it as much a previous visits, it was a little grisly and tough and I didn't care for the sauce. I found the menu quite limited. On the positives - the ambience is lovely, noise levels low, lighting pretty and decor is beautiful. Drinks were great.

   HI - we were celebrating a 75th birthday of our family matriarch and nothing went well this evening. The hostess completely dismissed us even though we had reservations for the group. She sat a couple prior to us and did not even lend a hand to some of the older women in our group who needed assistance being seated. Kitchen was sold out of raw bar menu, dinner menu was limited, and our meal was okay but way over priced in terms of portion and taste. Waiters were great - but other than that not worth the $350 we spent.

   I recently had dinner at Brasserie Witlof with three friends. I live in the neighborhood but had never been there before. We were looking forward to trying it out, based on the pics & reviews. We left with a bad taste in our mouth because of the service. The best part about the place is the beautiful bar and decor, which is authentic without trying too hard. The food is good-- pretty average in terms of a high-end restaurant in the area. Solid menu & the food was well flavored and plated. The worst part was the service. Maybe it was because it was a busy Saturday night, but the service was cringe-worthy. Our server was fine when we ordered wine, but rude and snooty for the rest of the night. The kicker was when we waited for our first course for about 30-45 minutes. They then brought both first and second courses out all together. When we asked why, he said that the starters looked small so he didn't see the point of bringing them out beforehand, on their own. Isn't that the point of appetizers? No apology, just plunked down the food and left. Totally weird. I'd only go back for a drink and a bite at the bar. Dinner isn't worth the time or the money.

   Oysters were great.. Everything else was whatever.. Nor much flavour has mostly apps.. Beer was great.

   We really enjoyed this. Good food, fun ambiance. Only nit was that the manager tasted our wine himself before serving it, and served it even though it was somewhat corked. He did replace it when I commented, and the replacement bottle was great. But why taste it yourself if you can't tell it is off or just aren't going to pull a bad bottle before serving?

   Ewverything good! Just wanted to mention that the food and coffee temperature was not ideal, coffee was served cold and same with the eggs. The rest was great!

    Tables too close together (2 tops suddenly becoming 4 crowding us in). Waiter finally approaches table and asks "how can I be of service." Bizarre and uncomfortable. Noisy. Booth seat not secure so kept popping up every time neighboring diner sat down next to me. Food very average. Presents itself more as an idea of a bistro, almost a theme restaurant than authentic feel.
