BRASSERIE TEN TEN Ratings and Reviews
All four diners felt the food was presented well, delicious and a great value. The place is not for a quiet conversation. We would recommend redesigning the available space with permanent partitions of some type. This would also allow for a more cozy feeling.
It's so nice to be at a restaurant that obviously emphasizes and trains customer service. Brunch was great, but there was a super long delay for our appetizer to arrive. Like really long. The server proactively resolved the situation, and I have no complaints. The food was excellent - creative, well executed and tasty.
We met friends for dinner at TEN TEN the other day and we had a great time, except for the fact the restaurant was VERY noisy. The service was good, and the food was great. I would recommend this restaurant to a variety of people --- but it is definitely not for having a quiet conversation.
Most of our food & drink was excellent. But the salad with walnut encrusted chicken was not. The chicken was a side to the greens and was dry & tasteless. The dressing was not evident so asked for an additional serving. Server said they use it sparingly. When it arrive, it was a definite coral/pink color which could not be missed when put on salad. I will try this restaurant again. I never judge until i’ve visited twice.
We have been to BRASSERIE ten ten before. Good food, ok price, nice staff. This time it was more like a bar—loud music, loud people. The ambiance changed and wasn’t suitable for a date where you want to talk to the other person. The music had a dance beat to it... just seemed like a weird bar with tables and high prices.
Highlights - Terrific service and great food ! Happy hour had awesome food and our entrees were excellent. Lowlights - Quite loud and we felt jammed together with the other tables. A couple times we got a close up of the next table's server's behind. Regardless, we will be back.
Our waiter was confused about the menu, never asked if we liked the wine or the food and was generally uninterested in our experience. About the kind of service you would expect from a Chili's, not from a fine dining establishment you carefully select and visit to celebrate your honeymoon... which was mentioned when we made our reservations but not ever acknowledged by anyone who served us.
This is one of our favorite restaurants, with superb food, great ambiance and excellent service. Our last visit disappointed, however. Service was acceptable, but not up to usual standards. For example, a waiter brought our soup course, but slopped soup onto one of the unoccupied chairs at the table and put a truly messy crock at my place that spilled onto the table mat. His excuse was that the bowls were very hot, but he had not used a tray. The soup was not overly hot. Nobody came to clean up the chair or my place after the soup course was taken away. I only wonder if they cleaned the chair after we left, or just let the next customers sit on a sticky surface. The food was OK, but not up to what we usually experience. For example, green beans that accompany one of my regular dishes were hot, but not cooked. I sent them back, with an explanation and a request for a properly cooked replacement. They brought back another serving, prepared the same way: hot, but fibrous and stringy. I gave up and simply did not eat the beans. We will return, but not for a while. Had this happened to a new patron, I doubt they would ever come back. Truly substandard.
Our first dinner at Brasserie Ten Ten was a disappointing experience. We were seated at a table right in the middle and it felt very hectic with guests constantly coming and going. We couldn’t enjoy our meal, which was very delicious, and left very quickly.
This time we came for Happy Hour and loved it! Again, it was very busy, but we enjoyed the ambiance and busy scene. Our server was very attentive and the food was fabulous. This is definitely not a place for a romantic dinner but now that we know what to expect we will definitely be back for Happy Hour! Also a perfect pre theatre/concert choice!
Happy hour appetizers were a fantastic deal and allowed us to try many different things, frites, Au Brie, a crepe with brie and shaved brussel sprouts. Then for our main courses we had rainbow trout and some chicken and mushroom dish I cant remember the name of. Everything was excellent. Our cocktails were excellent as well and reasonably priced during happy hour. I cant wait to go back to this place again.
