A family favourite before concerts at Quartier des spectacle. Food is imaginative and daily specials are always amazing. An excellent experience every time.

I know the reputation of the owner of this resto so was very excited to try another one of his restos. But it was not a very good night.

There were 3 of us, only 1 person was happy. For me-I ordered the escargot and it was uninteresting- in fact inedible due to the amount of chewy melted cheese on top, like a pizza. The small bits of snails were lost under it all. My memory of escargot consists of a tasty garlic buttery flavour and this was not that. My 2nd dish was salmon tartare with fries. After the first taste of the salmon tartare , I decided it was not worth to eat anymore. It was very uninteresting once again, not worth finishing, but the fries were tasty and this became my meal. My husband ordered the venison and ate half of it, it was just ok.

I experienced Torque resto in the early 2002 and had this memory of the best resto ever. But this new place- was a total disappointment and I have experienced better brasseries in New York City or Toronto!

We ended up spending $200 for a really bad night!

Overrated.

We didn't eat a main course, but shared 2 first course and 1 second course. We had the snails (bourgots a l'ail) which are a little more chewy than other types of snails that I've had, but they were very tasty and because they are also larger than the smaller snails, it made it a larger dish. Then we had the foie gras poêlé. Our first reaction was "not what we expected", but oh wow, what an excellent tasting dish. Then we shared a plateau de charcuteries for 2 and that was excellent as well. To finish off, we had the creme brulée, which completed the meal very well. I will definitely go back!
