The Quiche Lorraine was delectable!
I even accidentally broke a glass when we took a family photo and the staff was incredibly gracious...not making me feel any worse than I already did! I look forward to my next visit!
We were warmly welcomed. The food was delicious and the cocktails were unique and very good. We will definitely be returning.
Excellent service and delicious food. Loved sitting in their outdoor covered courtyard. Enjoyed a variety of items on the menu and yummy drinks. Was hoping for some pasta dishes, but happy with our dinner and app selections.
Our server was awesome. Very attentive and kind. Definitely a place we will return too.
Our server Eziquel was outstanding! The girl who seated us was a bit clueless but the actual service of everyone else was fantastic! The food was good but really expensive for what you got. The drinks are over priced and not worth the money with the exception of the blood orange margarita. Still overpriced but the recipe was delicious.
Great food! Service was fantastic! Great new gem that's in the heart of down town
Great mushroom pizza
Burger & fries was bland
Was best on menu
Food and service were excellent.
It was nice but their
We reserved a table for six on the beautiful patio and enjoyed a very lovely evening with wonderful food, and atmosphere, our waiter was attentive and gave excellent service. I highly recommend Brassiere SLO at Hotel Cerro.
Charming bistro on a quiet street in SLO. Wonderful service and delicious food!! We loved the tomato tartine, salmon and chicken dishes. Don't skip dessert -- made fresh in house and so good! We'll definitely be back!
Fun venue with a
Our waiter Craig was very knowledgeable very friendly he did an excellent job he comped our desserts because our food all came out at once instead of salads and then entrées I had short ribs they were a little dry but tender. We ordered the starter which was the flatbread I think it had mushrooms and onions topped with Parmesan arugula and truffle oil was really delicious with our wine.
The patio with the fig tree has a great vibe. Server Craig was personable and food was ok. Beignets disappointed.
We had the fig and arugula salad, the beef shortribs, and the pot de creme, and all three were amazing.
Front of house was rude, rest of staff was pleasant and accommodating
I had a wonderful dinner here a few months ago and was excited to bring my mom back for her birthday. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. First the shrimp appetizer was tough and flavorless in addition to not been cleaned very well. Unappetizing. Next, the caesar salad was mediocre and not well seasoned. Then, the much anticipates scallop dish is hard to explain but imagine seared scallops in a sauce of melted Creamsicle!!! The combinations in this dish were NOT a good choice. Finally, the creme brulee and cremant were very enjoyable and the service wonderful. So disappointing and I doubt I would return.
We had a lovely time! Great bubbles, great oysters, great and friendly service!
Service was excellent. The scallop dish with black rice and the coconut sauce was one of the best scallop entrees I’ve ever experienced. Cooked perfectly.
Wine list was a tad small and limited.
A definite come back.
Food was tasty and ambiance is great but service was subpar. We ordered steak medium and it came out rare. We were never asked if we would like another drink. would expect much better service for the price. Fine dining but fair service.
We had a 5 people dinner party that was delicious and enjoyed by all! The staff is wonderful, welcoming and added to the fun ambience!
We will be back!
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
The Brasserie was fabulous and was excellent at everything within their control. The food, the service, and environment was impeccable. Unfortunately, not within the restaurant’s control, were the unbelievably bratty children of some other patrons that spoiled our Sunday brunch. This is not the fault of the Brasserie, but of the terrible parents also dining at the same time as us. We have kids, and kids act up, that’s a fact. But as a parent it is also our responsibility to not let our children’s outbursts disrupt others’ experiences. I only point this out so that others will be aware this place is popular with young families and have appropriate expectation. We were caught off guard because this was the first time that had happened there…we love the Brasserie and will definitely be back, but will request a quieter seating.
It’s a beautiful place and we don’t mind paying for good food, but eight dollars for an orange juice, brunch menu is overly obscure, and they don’t even know how to make a latte!
We came from Los Angeles. Was excited to come here, but left disappointed.
Food was ok. Salmon was good, but potatoes came out cold- which the waitress said was the way it's served. Beignet was hard and should not have been served.
Service- Staff was very nice (Autumn). Service was slow. Overall this place has the potential to be better, but needs better management and more experienced staff.
Ambiance - lighting needs to be dimmed for evening. Tables with children should be placed together. We were seated next to two tables with young children… One of the kids threw a tomato at my husband. Not a romantic place.
The place is new - They are trying but are not quite there yet.
Very cool place to get a great meal - short rib was fantastic
Arriving on time, our table was ready for us. We were seated outdoors and were given the option of having a heater near us if needed. Waitstaff was courteous and professional. Appetizer and entree selections presented a wide selection and our server was well informed about each dish. Wine selection was more than adequate whether by the glass or bottle. We thoroughly enjoyed the Roasted Figs and Heirloom Tomato Tartine for starters and for entrees the PEI Mussels and Lemon Thyme Fire Roasted Salmon. Being fish lovers, were were both impressed with the Chef's fine hand at allowing the fish and mussels to be perfectly cooked. Comfortable atmosphere.
The patio is beautiful and wind protected. There are also great pescatarian options.
Most of the food was very good but skip the artichoke. For $18 it was not worth it very small and stringy.
As with most restaurants these days, the servers had poor concentration skills. If your looking for entree vegetarian options.. forget it. Zero
All staff very accommodating and
Smashed potatoes superb
Will be back
Wonderful anniversary dinner. Service was superb and every course was excellent. A gourmet delight!
Way overpriced and had to send my meal back twice due to not being cooked correctly. My salmon was raw. Sent back to have it cooked more, came back raw again. The potatoes it was served with were cold, both times. Also, the warm beet salad was cold too. Would not go again.
Always great service. Love eating in the patio.
But food is very inconsistent. Over three visits for dinner, the quality of the food preparation all over the map.
Octopus dish, for example, great one visit, the next terrible. Very little octopus and the broth was almost flavorless except for overpowering vinegar taste. Steak tartare was for a high-priced dish, very disappointing. Despite evidence of many usually flavorful ingredients, dish was almost flavorless.
Baja oysters good. And hamachi crudo also good with mango.
We live in town and try count on the Bistro as one of our go-to good food places.
Devin was awesome in serving us .
It was not busy which made for good table conversation. The Mission Fig patio where we dined has a lovely ambiance.
Craig our waiter, as well as other servers were all friendly and not overbearing.
The panzella salad, special of the night was great. I normally don’t like croutons but these were amazing.
The scallops and risotto was our favorite dish.
Would definitely go back
Small cozy out door eating area (in the back, not on the street). Very comfortable.
Amazing customer service and very friendly staff . We really enjoyed our dinner.
We had the brunch menu, and I found that the choices were very limited. The only meat available was pork, and they only had breakfast available - no lunch items at all. Overall though, the ambience was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel a lot!
Across the board, the hostess, bar tenders wait staff, even hotel reception, all excellent hires! Each one energetic, courteous, and willing to please are great stewards of the Brasserie branding. From my perspective, and our collective experience the challenges appear to be fixable with a need for better management and leadership; Offer your great hiring choices a system for success so they can feel good about impressing their customers. It simply doesn’t exist at present. Eliminate the unnecessary duplication, poor communication and inefficiency to get food out timely and in ordinal position. The food looks great on paper and presentation yet doesn’t match the price point. Sorry, we could not recommend the restaurant at this time.
