Enjoy the casual elegance of this French brasserie, centrally located in New York’s Rockefeller Center. It’s a prime location for business lunches, relaxed dinners, holiday celebrations, theater go-ers and private events. Spring through Fall our large terrace is an ideal place to gather for dining and cocktails.
I have been to Ruhlmann probably a dozen times. It was one of my favorites. This time though, the $28 (tiny) burger was completely disappointing. The order was for “medium rare”. The burger was delivered completely RAW and practically still mooing. We returned it and the same burger re-fired and brought back five minutes later not only cooked, but now totally burnt. After this, we lost our appetite. Our server took 10% off the bill. Not sure I will come back again. It used to be my favorite stop when in NYC, but that will most likely be my last time dining at Ruhlmann’s.
We enjoyed being there. The people were lovely and the service was terrific
Disappointed this time. Fish came out too salty and you don’t want to send food back or make a fuss about your dish during a business lunch. Usually they do better.
Business colleagues reunion
Lots of drinks. Good food to eat with cocktails
And great view of Rockefeller Center Tree
You can't get a better location prior to seeing a show at radio city. The onion soup was perfect #ThankYou. We travel to Europe allot to include france and this was a pleasant culinary return for us New Yorkers. The soup, bread, drinks, and location was enough to warrant a 3rd return.
Everything was exceptional with one exception. We shared a salad and they did not split the salad in the kitchen or at least give us plates to split ourselves. We had to use the bread dishes. Other than that it is well worth the visit.
Have been to this restaurant on a few occasions prior for business, and it was always good! Sadly, this time; not so much. It could have been because it was lunch the day after New Years Eve festivities, and maybe the staff just wasn't 100% focused.
Suffice it to say, the bread was the best part of the meal.
Great experience, but The meat was cold
Always a treat to eat here. We love the old standards on the menu and the wonderful specials. Daily Dishes are always a favorite and service and ambiance is fun and lively. One of our favorites.
Love the dining experience, the food is delicious and beautifully presented. The ambience is lovely. Will definetely come back.
Great view of the Christmas tree during brunch. Service was great.
Absolutely love this place, in the heart of Rock Center, and enjoyed everything about it, location, the hostess, Inga very lovely lady who took the time to get know me a little is very pleasant. She did awesome getting us a table so we could view the Christmas Tree which was just beautiful. Food of course was above and beyond what I was expecting, tasty, elegant and casual dining. I would 200% recommend and return over and over. I have been in the summer time as well outside, just an awesome feeling being right in the middle of it all. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience 💕
Pricey but good
Ottimo posto, cibo buono vista spaziale ..
Great food with superb service 👍🏼
Great food, friendly staff, elegant, and romantic art deco atmosphere in the heart of Rockefeller Center. Highly recommended!
This is a nice brasserie spot near Rockefeller Center. Ambience is very 20th century modern and had a dress casual atmosphere. Service was adequate, but nothing unique.
A bit limited on the menu, but had the classic dishes and food came out fast. The wine was excellent. We had a bourdeaux.
Slightly more expensive than what I thought the food presentation and atmosphere warranted.
The rabbit was wonderful! The location has a beautiful view of the Rockefeller center area.
I just love this place! It's cozy, yet grand. The food is divine. The service lovely. Just wonderful!
Food was delicious classic French brasserie. Service started slow but got much better as our meal went on. Beautiful view of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree as we ate. Will definitely go back.
Though this restaurant is a staple at Rockefeller Center, this was our first visit. We were in NYC for the Christmas holidays and had a lovely view of the tree. The shrimp and lobster roll was outstanding as well as the duck. Profiteroles were perfect.
Let me first start by saying that it was Christmas Eve and we were alone for the Holidays this year. When we arrived they had received our note and had saved the best table in front of the tree for us...I cannot begin to tell you how special that made us feel. The fact that they cared enough to do that! The staff here is fantastic! They are friendly attentive and professional. The food is great and the banana pudding is worth the trip. Thank you to all the staff who made it a memorable evening for my family.
Great quick service
Highly recommend the salmon
Very nice place. The Parisian Steak Tartare is delicious and very fresh. We loved it.
I really enjoy the customer service, ambience and experience when I go for special occasions. The cuisine is divine.
Beautiful decor, good food and great service, whilst cafes and restaurants underground at the rock center have lines to get in - even with a reservation! - and wait times over one hour; this spot may save the day with easy booking, and a very comfortable room to take out of towners for a comfort meal with a French accent.
Delicious brunch. Met with very positive responses from various age groups. Staff very professional and attentive.
Great meal and great service...excellent time!
Came here after the Christmas show for lunch. Food was very good and the service was excellent. Right across from the Tree which was so beautiful. Very pleasant experience, we will be back.
I didn’t have a good experience last night. The staff and waiters were nice and service is okay. But the food is below average and the selection is very limited. I had the driest chicken and those show string potatoes were hard. Even the veg in my meal was old. Didn’t bother to talk to a manager as I don’t want to ruin my night. I will not recommend to any friends.
Hope that you improve your food next time.
Great food. Nice wine list. Attentive staff and good service. This place never disappoints. One of my favorite lunch spots on the planet. It is especially nice when the weather is nice and we can dine here al fresco!
One of our favorite restaurants...food is delicious with attentive service.
Beef bourguigon was tough, cold and tasteless. Glass of wine was ridiculously mediocre and substantially overpriced, just like the food. The ambience is very good, serving to attract unwary tourists who perceive form and conclude the restaurant serves food that deserves their high prices. I am a native New Yorker and eat in a lot of restaurants. This restaurant is a rip-off and I will alert people of this at every opportunity.
Very welcoming environment! The hostess is amazing such a friendly woman. Coat check is fast and reliable. The food is great. Took a client for lunch, if you like seafood definitely a great place. Prices are very reasonable.
Love the place will go back again when I go back to New York!!
I have visited many times and nothing beats the location however, I was quite disappointed that there was not even one vegetarian option for a special client I brought to this eatery. When we asked if the chef could prepare a vegetarian option we were simply told that the only option was to order the side dishes of vegetables! It was quite disappointing especially for a restaurant of this caliber.
Food was delicious. Tables are practically on top of each other...you feel like you're dining with the table next to you. Our waiter was totally obnoxious...didn't seem to know how to say please, thank your, or you're welcome. He actually dropped a knife on my foot when clearing the neighboring table and didn't even acknowledge that it happened.
Unbelievable service. Amazing sushi. Perfect location for a home lunch
Wonderful Art Deco decor and Rockefeller Center ambience. We loved our lunch overlooking the tree. It is a lovely spot and we will certainly return with the hope that a slow kitchen we experienced was not typical.
