Enjoy the casual elegance of this French brasserie, centrally located in New York’s Rockefeller Center. It’s a prime location for business lunches, relaxed dinners, holiday celebrations, theater go-ers and private events. Spring through Fall our large terrace is an ideal place to gather for dining and cocktails.
Great food...superb attention
Ate at the bar. Great service. Friendly bartender. Food excellent. Wine excellent.
I have been here many times and am always happy with the service, ambiance and food. It is my “go to” place in midtown. It feels more warm and quiet than most NYC restaurants
Food was wonderful. Was taking my sister out for a big birthday. Upon entry, gave my credit card to server so that bill would come to me already charged. Server forgot and placed check by my sister! Only misstep in an otherwise enjoyable evening. Hope my comments are helpful to management.
only because it's convenient and reliable in midtown. otherwise, way overpriced and not that good. one yellowtail sushi roll with 6 pieces was $22 about double what you'd pay at a good sushi restaurant.
This place never disappoints!
Very friendly staff. Great place to eat before Radio City.
Beautiful day, nice setting. We had a reservation for 1:45 - arrived a bit early. You’d have thought we were Martian’s. Seated at a table that wasn’t set, no silver - watches three other tables that came in after us be waited on. Finally
The service was not good and the food was overpriced for the level of quality. It was a disappointing experience. With a bit more care it could be great.
Love this restaurant/ glad that the article which stated it was closing was in error. Can be a bit expensive but is in in Rockefeller Center in NY so that is to be expected. Sunday Brunch was excellent with perhaps the best avocado toast ever.
Our server was excellent and the wine list at lunch was great. I was disappointed with the Croque Monsieur - it had a layer of cheese, broiled on top. This is not the way - it should be pressed and not greasy on top. The ham was good, and the items around the sandwich were solid - a small side salad and delicious fries.
Boring..... that’s the best I can describe it. Not bad. Not good.... just plain.
Nothing special about it. And why have an amazing terrasse and open gigantic umbrellas when it is 60degrees outside and everyone seems to want to have some sun. It makes absolutely no sense. The terrasse became actually darker than inside the restaurant....
Food was OK but expensive for the price.
Much better options in the area at that price point
Creepy waiter that was non attentive
Simply a good place for a Sunday brunch. This is just to use up the stupid 50 chr min.
Place has gone downhill. Prices went up and the salads are over 30 bucks and mediocre. Only way the should cost 30 bucks is if they come with 20 bucks on top.
Quality food at NY prices
Love this place! Second time visiting the restaurant while in NYC. Everyone was very happy with the selection, taste of the food and service. I cannot pass up the three onion soup. My sister-in-law loved the scallops special!
After several lunches or dinners, surely the best place outdoor on Rockfeller Plaza. Outstanding service and very good dishes and wines.
Overpriced for quality
Handy if you work at 30 rock. Food is just fine, but expensive.
I booked Brasserie Ruhlmann for a client dinner. When we arrived, the entire restaurant was empty. How could a place in Rock Center be empty and keep their doors open for business? It is an absolute wonder that this place is still open.
The food was mediocre at best. The service was lacking any finesse. The food came out incorrectly for both appetizers and main courses. The amount of confusion of red, white or rosé wines was unbelievable - we constantly had to tell the staff that what they had poured was not what we ordered.
We won’t be going back ever.
Brasserie Ruhlmann is consistently good. The service is impeccable; everyone just pitches in. I always have a very pleasant experience at Brasserie Ruhlmann and hope to go back many more times in the future.
Great lunch spot in Rockefeller Center with a solid menu and very nice interior. I'll go back.
Very enjoyable for lunch. Enjoyed the excellent vegetable burger!!
Excellent and very attentive service from the whole staff. Well done!!
Overpriced , disappointed with the food for the price
Very good food. Simple menu - chicken, beef, fish. Something for everyone.
I love it that the servers do not rush you. The server was wonderful, he was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food is first class, I just love this place
I confirmed my reservation in advance, and the restaurant couldn't find it. They sat me and my client in the bar area, and two servers attended to us, but never compared notes so we were asked the same questions throughout our meal (ex: are you ready to order x 2, do you want dessert x 2). The meal arrived quickly, but my Beyond burger was cold and chewy - I basically didn't eat it.
We did have a great dinner at Brsserie Ruhlmann, service was outstanding and after a small mistake who was right away corrected by the maitre d'O (Marcello). We did have a nice dinner on the outside terrace. We will absolutely returned when back in NYC ( right place for filet mignon).
One of the best outdoor patios in midtown.
Great for a business lunch. Light food and great outdoor dining.
I have been to Brasserie Ruhlmann many times. The service is always gracious and food exceptional. I recommend the shrimp and lobster roll at lunch. The Bloody Mary is quite good.
awesome food, great service, they were very aware that we were coming on our lunch break and were every quick to serve us.
Excellent food, service and ambience. Outdoor dining among the best in the city
Enjoyed a summer evening dinner overlooking the Rock, people watching. Food was great.
a little pricey, and service was a little slow. Food is excellent.
Terrible customer service - manager and GM are worthless
We arrived a little early for a 12:00 Sunday brunch reservation. We were seated immediately at a very lovely table for 2 outside, as requested. The location is perfect, directly across the street from Rockefeller Center. Drink orders were taken very quickly and we did not have much time to look at the menu before our server approached us for meal orders. When we did order, the food took quite a while to arrive. However, the wait was worth it. The pancakes with bananas, pecans, creme freche, etc. were fantastic. More like a dessert than breakfast. My husband ordered the norwegian salmon on brioche, again, delicious. But a very small portion for the price. Service throughout the meal was attentive, but it seemed to take a very long time for the check to appear and the credit card to be processed. On the reservation, I had indicated it was an anniversary celebration, but that was not acknowledged. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.
