Enjoy the casual elegance of this French brasserie, centrally located in New York’s Rockefeller Center. It’s a prime location for business lunches, relaxed dinners, holiday celebrations, theater go-ers and private events. Spring through Fall our large terrace is an ideal place to gather for dining and cocktails.
Lovely restaurant , food was very good , staff was professional and attentive . Would definitely return next time visiting the NYC
Was not impressed at all with the service. I asked the bus boy 3 times to place my order, finally I had to flag down the manager to finally place my order. I told him I was waiting almost 30 minutes to order, he said they were waiting for the other members of my party, well if they bothered to check the reservation they would have seen that it was just me for this particular meal.
Had a great time but there is always room for improvement. Hence the 4 stars, would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The waiter Patricio was so gentle!! The food was great!
A classy restaurant. Good food and good service.
Painfully average food, painfully high price. Excellent service.
Met my daughter for dinner.
All was “ok” except the waiter had an attitude.
First time in my LIFE I undertipped.
I recently had lunch at Brasserie Ruhlmann, which was quite enjoyable. The food was very good and the environment relaxed with an old school style of brasserie elegance without any pretension. The service was capable, although a bit more graciousness would have been easy, noticeable, and welcome. It was a bit on the noisy side, but for better or worse this has become rather standard. So all in all, it was a very good place if one is looking for a place in the neighborhood, one to which I would certainly return, although not a place I would view as a destination.
The restaurant is well handled and the staff is lovely and attentive and we enjoyed the meal tremendously. One small problem they eliminated one of my all time favorite desserts which this year alone I had gone back to Brasserie Ruhlmann 4 times for their meal BUT MOSTLY For that desert.
Went yesterday and was told it was taken off the menu the horrors I almost died - PLEASE TELL THEM TO BRING BACK - THE PASSION FRUIT CREME BRULE with the Coconut Sorbet - Cookies and Merengue and the slices of Grapefruit - It was a slice of heaven in my mouth and one of the best things in this world - ever and they took it off the menu - please have them bring it back please -
Service was slow and there were only two tables with patrons. Food was fair. We had to keep raising our hand to get the servers attention.
Our party of three was welcomed immediately. We all enjoyed the beautiful grilled scallop special and the service was warm friendly.
Great business lunch spot. Bring back the Tuna BLT!
Great food, ambiance in Rock Center..the food is always good and the service too is reliable. A favorite!
Great / Perfect !
Very consistent experience. I like that they offer a variety of items from traditional French specialty to sushi, delicious lobster Cobb salad. Easy place to have a nice business meals!
We went for restaurant week. It was very good.
I should have figured, that given the touristy location in Rockefeller Center it would not be great. Although the decor is classic brasserie, the food was very mediocre. We found the service rushed despite many empty tables and it was of poor value. Very overpriced for the quality. We were surprised by the positive ratings and will not return.
We had to wait until 5 pm for the restaurant week menu but the staff was very accommodating....the risotto with rock shrimp was delicious....the salmon was good but just with some leaks....no starch....not a great filler.
Gorgeous atmosphere. Delicious, creative food. I can't wait to come back!
I have been to Ruhlmann probably a dozen times. It was one of my favorites. This time though, the $28 (tiny) burger was completely disappointing. The order was for “medium rare”. The burger was delivered completely RAW and practically still mooing. We returned it and the same burger re-fired and brought back five minutes later not only cooked, but now totally burnt. After this, we lost our appetite. Our server took 10% off the bill. Not sure I will come back again. It used to be my favorite stop when in NYC, but that will most likely be my last time dining at Ruhlmann’s.
We enjoyed being there. The people were lovely and the service was terrific
Disappointed this time. Fish came out too salty and you don’t want to send food back or make a fuss about your dish during a business lunch. Usually they do better.
Business colleagues reunion
Lots of drinks. Good food to eat with cocktails
And great view of Rockefeller Center Tree
You can't get a better location prior to seeing a show at radio city. The onion soup was perfect #ThankYou. We travel to Europe allot to include france and this was a pleasant culinary return for us New Yorkers. The soup, bread, drinks, and location was enough to warrant a 3rd return.
Everything was exceptional with one exception. We shared a salad and they did not split the salad in the kitchen or at least give us plates to split ourselves. We had to use the bread dishes. Other than that it is well worth the visit.
Have been to this restaurant on a few occasions prior for business, and it was always good! Sadly, this time; not so much. It could have been because it was lunch the day after New Years Eve festivities, and maybe the staff just wasn't 100% focused.
Suffice it to say, the bread was the best part of the meal.
Great experience, but The meat was cold
Always a treat to eat here. We love the old standards on the menu and the wonderful specials. Daily Dishes are always a favorite and service and ambiance is fun and lively. One of our favorites.
Love the dining experience, the food is delicious and beautifully presented. The ambience is lovely. Will definetely come back.
Great view of the Christmas tree during brunch. Service was great.
Absolutely love this place, in the heart of Rock Center, and enjoyed everything about it, location, the hostess, Inga very lovely lady who took the time to get know me a little is very pleasant. She did awesome getting us a table so we could view the Christmas Tree which was just beautiful. Food of course was above and beyond what I was expecting, tasty, elegant and casual dining. I would 200% recommend and return over and over. I have been in the summer time as well outside, just an awesome feeling being right in the middle of it all. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience 💕
Pricey but good
Ottimo posto, cibo buono vista spaziale ..
Great food with superb service 👍🏼
Great food, friendly staff, elegant, and romantic art deco atmosphere in the heart of Rockefeller Center. Highly recommended!
This is a nice brasserie spot near Rockefeller Center. Ambience is very 20th century modern and had a dress casual atmosphere. Service was adequate, but nothing unique.
A bit limited on the menu, but had the classic dishes and food came out fast. The wine was excellent. We had a bourdeaux.
Slightly more expensive than what I thought the food presentation and atmosphere warranted.
The rabbit was wonderful! The location has a beautiful view of the Rockefeller center area.
I just love this place! It's cozy, yet grand. The food is divine. The service lovely. Just wonderful!
Food was delicious classic French brasserie. Service started slow but got much better as our meal went on. Beautiful view of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree as we ate. Will definitely go back.
Though this restaurant is a staple at Rockefeller Center, this was our first visit. We were in NYC for the Christmas holidays and had a lovely view of the tree. The shrimp and lobster roll was outstanding as well as the duck. Profiteroles were perfect.
