Pretty place, very well located in Rock Center especially if one works in the center and it is winter time! Food is quite good, but a touch pricey. tables near doors in winter can be drafty.

The service was nonexistent even though the restaurant was pretty empty. It took forever for our apps and entrees to arrive and both were lukewarm. Had I not been with a client I would have complained.

The salmon over quinoa was scrumptious for lunch. The service was good, but not great. The noise level was a bit high and the tables were a bit too close together for "private" professional/work related conversations.

Beautiful Art Deco setting with a view of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. Outstanding bread - small, crusty, warm baguettes. Onion soup, green salad, Wiener Schnitzel (Thursday special), Steak, and apple tart were all first rate. Glasses of wine were small and expensive. Service was attentive without being intrusive. It is a pity that it is scheduled to close in 2020, since it provide one of the better dining experiences available in NYC.

Holiday brunch at 12 pm. Entertaining our adult grandchildren. No orange juice. No jam or jelly. No low fat milk. Brunch???? Eggs cold. Waiter served egg whites instead of regular eggs. Terrible experience. Great Xmas tree.

We enjoyed going to Brasserie Ruhlmann for many years, hope very much that it (maybe?) re-appears in some guise or form at some point in the future… although the great space, nestled in the shadow of Rockefeller Center is obviously ‘un-repeatable’… cheers to years’ worth of great chefs & front of house teams, you were just wonderful!

Food was prepared and served wonderfully. Great authentic Brasserie menu - glad I could still have Foie Gras! Our server was week trained, knowledgeable and a pleasure to have serve us. The host staff and dining room captains could not have been less interested in creating a spirit of warmth and hospitality. While the table service and food was excellent excellent - $50 / diner before the wine for a luncheon of salads, appetizers and a croquet monsieur seemed a bit over the top.

We love BR! It is one of year round favorites but especially magical during the winter holidays. Staff if warm and welcoming, just enough conversation to make the ambiance festive, delicious food! Just wish the specials were everyday! :) You cannot go wrong here for a family dinner, night out, date night or a solo meal to people watch.

The restaurant is not kid friendly. Although the restaurant is spacious, there is no high chair, no changing table. The stroller is not allowed in the restaurant. One of the managers was not welcoming us: no help for the stroller, unpleasant with our kid...

This is a very nice restaurant in an ideal location directly across from the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree! We arrived 45 minutes early but we were accommodated almost immediately by a very professional and friendly staff. They checked our coats and seated us in a fairly large dining room that was very nicely appointed in a traditional style. The menu was interesting...the service was top notch...and our food was absolutely delicious. We would definitely return!

We were on a 2 day holiday in New York and wanted to eat in Rockefeller Center area. Rhulmann was a wonderful choice. Our reservation was honored and we were seated on time and at a window that the beautiful Christmas tree could be seen!! The service was absolutely wonderful. And our appetizers, cocktails and entrees were delicious. This definitely met our expectations. The couple next to us were very friendly and we had some great conversation. We shared some of our experiences of the visit and they informed us of some other places to visit while in the city. They were from Staten Island. We had our meal and did not feel rushed, and were on time to walk over to Radio City Music Hall, just a couple of blocks, to see the Rockettes and the Christmas Show. We would return to this restaurant.

We had dinner at Brasserie Ruhlmann after seeing Hamilton at a mid-week matinee. The food was excellent. My husband splurged on Dover sole, which was moist and delicious. This is his favorite dish and he was very happy with Ruhlmann's preparation. My steak was cooked to perfection and we very much enjoyed the Charcuterie board. There was a variety of cheeses that we liked, blue, goat and brie. We were just in Paris and would note that Brasserie Ruhlmann's bread was every bit as crusty and delicious as the bread we ate in France! I loved the profiteroles I had for dessert. Wonderful pastry, enclosed vanilla ice cream with warm homemade chocolate sauce. Our hostess was very kind to seat us at a table where it was possible to glimpse the Rockefeller Christmas tree. We would definitely go back again.

Birthday. We as noted I the reservation and confirmed with the manager and hostess were celebrating a birthday for the 11th year at Brunch before the Rockettes show. Never have I been so very disappointed. The service was lacking, the food not what it has been in past years, and the management lacked customer service skills. When a issue arises (which is bound to happen) it is about how you handle it, and all I can say is something has changed here! The sad part is we were one of 6 table having a issue with with food or service which had historically been hallmarks for this restaurant and part of a wonderful experience for my family. This brunch was part of our tradition for 11 years. Sadly not anymore. There are may things I can understand and forgive, but a entitled attitude accompanied by poor service, and lack luster food is not one.

Underwhelmed with the service we received. We had 11:30AM brunch reservations as soon as the restaurant opened. After being seated we were greeted by our server who asked for drink orders before we even had a minute to look at drink options. After our drinks were quickly delivered our server asked for our meal order. Again, did not have adequate time to peruse the menu nor were we told of specials for the day. After we placed our order, our server did not come back around to check on us until we were finished with our meal, which was delivered/served by another server. Other than not so great service, the food was delicious and beautifully presented.

I was surprised at the service at Brasserie Ruhlmann. The hostess was friendly and seated us promptly. The wait staff was friendly. We even met one of the managers who was friendly and accommodating; however, the disorganization of the service caught me by surprise given the friendly atmosphere. We had at least 4 different servers and no one came to fill our water glasses or check on us once the meal was served. We would have to ask someone who was passing by our table to assist us (with water, another item, or the check). The food was good, nothing extraordinarily special, but cooked well with good flavors. I'm not sure that I would visit again. A word of warning to anyone visiting during the winter. If you are seated near the door, you will get a blast of cold air each time someone enters or leaves. We were fortunate, we were seated away; but we saw a woman seated by the door who had to eat with her coat on the whole time.

We were two New York women out celebrating the holidays expecting a lovely dinner near Rock center. On arrival we were seated at a table above the heating system and in a few minutes we realized we could not remain there for the meal. There were many tables available but we were seated at a small table in the corner. We ordered a glass of wine and some bread and then appetizers and entrees. While waiting for our dinners we asked for two more rolls. The food was very delicious but I had to keep signaling the waiter for more water several times. Once the meal was served, the bus boy kept coming over to remove our dishes before we were finished. While waiting for our check, I got up from my seat In the corner and sat on a chair next to our table. The host came over and told me I could not sit at another table. He was very rude since I was just waiting to get my credit card back. By the way, all the tables around us were empty when we left. The check was expensive,as expected nyc prices but we were charged for the extra rolls .Ridiculous ! I believe that if I was there with my husband, some of this would not have happened. I know Women are treated differently. Because of bad service and rudeness , I will not return to this restaurant .
