The goat cheese and tomato tart was outstanding. Our onion soup was wonderful. The mistral salad was cold and crisp. Both the salmon and trout were fabulous. Dinner was flawless.
My wife took me to Brasserie Provence for my birthday, knowing that this was one of my favorite restaurants.
Our server Jeffery was excellent, he has waited on us before and has always been professional, and humorous. It's hard to find servers today with a sense of humor. Jeffery is a master at Bloody Mary's, at least according to my wife.
The food was excellent as always, and Gee was his usual pleasant self, wishing me a Happy Birthday when we first walked in. We opted for the Chateaubriand for two, and it was prepared perfectly, and sliced table side.
The restaurant was quite and we had an excellent evening, thanks to the staff.
We met there on a thursday evening, sat in a booth and had a lovely time. The selection of vegan food was slim. I ordered the green beans, fingerling potatoes and tofu. The description was not much but the dish was very delicious! Beautiful presentation and cooked to perfection. My companion had the salmon and said it was perfectly delicious. I have never had a bad meal at this place!
Everything was exceptional, but we were a little disappointed with the Tropzienne. It was slightly over cooked. We have had it there before and it was wonderful.
I was there fir lunch for the first time. Real French cuisine! Specials change every day of the week. Everything was fresh and tasted great. Deserts were incredible. The owner came to our table several times to check on the food and service and to explain the recipes. I would definitely come back to this place for lunch to try other specials.
The mussels entrée was very good. I will say we were disappointed that they charged for bread. Cheesy policy.
The ambiance was excellent, the service was good, the value was good. The food was fine, just not impressive.
Really was disappointed that a first class French restaurant did not have French music. Would have made dining experience a lot better.
Waiter very nice and helped us picked excellent wine. Looking forward to coming back to try some other dishes; like Coco Vin. Would recommend having some speciality dinners with wine pairing in slow nights. And or have more wine specials. Would increase business and hit the wine connoisseurs in town to pair with some unique food!!
A very very nice place.
Excellent food and wine list. Waitress was great, knowledgeable and personable. Surprised Guy doesn’t come to each table as the owner/host and welcome regular patrons, hmm? Recall the old southern hospitality of Bill Bolands, old stone inn, Fig tree, Hudson’s, etc...Provence is One of our favorite restaurants.
It was such a great night. We went here before ballet. The waiter and owner knew about the ballet and had just gone. So informative and friendly. We felt like 3 queens the way we were treated. Not to mention the best lamb chops ever. And great wine suggestion.
Our first time. A beautiful, quiet restaurant other than the English Grill with great food and great service. We will be back.
Great food great restaurant!!
Very enjoyable meal
The mussels and escargot were excellent
Complemented with a wonderful salad and great wine
Beautiful venue for wonderful meal. Staff was amazing, food was delicious.
Our go to place for an outstanding dinner at a reasonable price.
Awesome experience. Everything was perfect Food was excellent. Great service nice ambiance.
Good food and a shame they don’t have a bigger crowd as there is a ton of space. Other French restaurants in other cities maybe a little more lively and think they should do a family steak and frites night that would drive more people there.
Food and service were excellent. However, the lady's birthday was not acknowledged at all.
We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The management was very kind and the staff was friendly. The menu items were presented and explained well. We will visit then again.
My husband had lamb chops which were very good. Same for his onion soup. My tomato goat cheese tart was good not great. I followed with tiny piece of four gras. Looked too little but very rich so just enough. Creme brulee was good but wrong texture. More like pudding but still good. We'll go back
I was very pleased with this restaurant. Staff was very friendly and the service was great. I had the lamb chops. It was prepared just as I requested and the sauce was excellent. It was pricey, but mostly worth it. The noise level was low. Easily a place for great conversation.
Love the atmosphere and the lavender martini. Is wonderful. The owner is so friendly as well as his staff. You can tell he loves what he does. My favorite place to eat and socialize. It’s like being at a friends house
We had excellent service and the food was wonderful.
We had excellent service and the food was wonderful. We also enjoyed the live music, it added immeasurably to the entire experience.
Food and drinks are delicious. Atmosphere is wonderful.
Food was very good, service was good but very uneven
Would have preferred my creme brûlée with my cappuccino delivered at the same time not cappuccino after I had the desert
The food was excellent and the server very friendly
Food was excellent - and we received an excellent wine recommendation from our server. He was quite knowledgeable when speaking about the wine. The entire experience was well worth it.
As usual, wonderful! We’re becoming regulars & a great place to take out of town guests.
Very poor service. Difficult to understand description of menu items. Had to request bread. Had to flag down server for more water, then was never refilled again!!!! Very expensive for a simple lunch with no drinks or dessert.
Brassiere Provence always offers delicious food and nice ambience. I would highly recommend it!
This is a beautifully decorated restaurant with rich, delicious food. The calamari was tender and the baguette was crisp and flavorful! The entrees we tried were very good. I especially liked the chicken.
Brasserie Provence always delivers a delightful dining experience. Two members of our trio got the Wednesday night special, the Sole Meuniere, and it was excellent--done perfectly and served with asparagus and basmati rice. The real star was a relatively new item on the regular menu, the chicken breast stuffed with spinach and boursin cheese. My wife described it as "best chicken ever", very moist and tasty with a nice sauce that enhanced the roasted fingerling potatoes. Server Jeff always excels with wine pairings and did so again at this meal. I look forward to me next visit with keen anticipation.
The service was outstanding. Attentive, but not overbearing. The food was some of the best we’ve had in town. The onion tart, lamb chops, and creme brûlée were sublime. We’ll definitely be back.
The owner of Brasserie Provence was excellent and accommodated to all of our needs. As it was our first visit for my birthday celebration, the staff and cooks did a terrific job and we will be sure to visit again in the future.
Awesome food, awesome service, awesome experience. A gem of a restaurant experience.
Always very very good! Thanks!
noise level was exceptionally low because we were there early ( 6:30) ; we are regulars here but I don't think that got us any special treatment ; it's always good
One of the best salmon dishes I've had. Very comfortable restaurant, easy to talk during dinner (not a loud room).
This restaurant has been our favorite for over 4 years. The owner, Guy, is there most nights and really tries to get his patrons. This is as close to the TV show Cheers as I have ever seen, The food is outstanding. He has somehow managed to have his hamburger be the best in the region AND his Chateaubriand is the best cut of beef in the area too, I hosted a dinner here for a group of foodies and they all said the trout was great but the pork chop was the best they have ever had. I can not say enough good things about the food, the service, and the personal touches that make this one of the best and least pretentious restaurants in the country
