Amazing service!! A friend in our party was struggling with diet restrictions. Guy, the owner and Jeff our sever spoke in detail with her to ensure the restrictions were honored. Both were extremely helpful, pleasant and accommodating. Jeff went above and beyond as a server.
I was in the mood for a great fish and ordered the Sea Bass, with green beans and potato casserole. But first we tried the soup of the day - a fabulous asparagus soup that was so perfect in texture and taste. I'll be looking for that one in the future!! A bottle of Rock Angels would go great with sea bass, so we ordered that as well. Guy Genoud (owner) served it with beautiful style as always! The sea bass turned out to be probably the best I have ever had! Firm and moist, it had been baked on a bed of sea salt and the finish was superb. What a delightful evening.
We especially enjoyed the French music provided by accordion player Mike O'Brien and a lovely soloist. They perform every third Friday and are a wonderful bonus of entertainment while we dined. Guy always makes you feel special and I do sincerely wish that more diners from Louisville would try this nugget of fine French food served with great attention to detail. All the servers are very well trained and take care of us every time. Always can depend on the finest experience at Brasserie Provence. I should also mention that they do a wonderful dine dinner - so watch for those on their web site.
Lovely dinner, wonderful atmosphere. I always enjoy dining here!
Excellent food excellent service and perfect ambiance
Wonderful evening overall in celebration of Bastille Day!
Wonderful meal with great service!! We love this place.
Calamari appetizer was great. Crème Brûlée and honey almond cheesecake were absolutely wonderful. Scallops were good but not amazing. Steak Frites was good.
My favorite lunch place! Good for client conversation, great food, fair prices.
The meal was very good. Sorry that the birthday we were celebrating wasn't mentioned...
Still and consistently one of our very favorite restaurants with attention to every detail and the freshest ingredients only.
The carrot soup was very nice. I found the sandwich of the day to be disappointing but continue to enjoy the restaurant and will be returning.
Everything from the ambiance, atmosphere, table, waitress, food and service was amazing. We had the olives and a bread basket, my wife had the Monday special - Shrimp Pasta - and a cup of the French Onion soup, and I had the Chicken Breast. Compliments to the chef, everything was absolutely amazing. My wife and I will definitely be back, and we'll bring others as well.
Consistently top-quality authentic Southern French cuisine in pleasant surroundings. On of our favorite restaurants anywhere. Excellent value.
Delicious food. Great wine list. Live music. Will definitely be back.
We eat here 3 or 4 times a year. The food and the service are outstanding. The night before last I had the pork chop (for the first time here). It'd was tender, moist and flavorful. I'd recommend it. The calamari as a starter was terrific, and the mesclun salad was just perfect.. And the desert. A special. A layer of ganache and milk chocolate, topped with a layer of some sort of a berry jelly-like layer. Wow!
The food was delicious and our waiter was attentive and very helpful. Have already recommended it to a friend.
We celebrated our anniversary and received top notch service from the beginning to the end.
Amazing:) we go as often as we can. We usually spend quite a bit, but this time I was out to prove we didn't have to. We each had a wonderful meal, shared a bread basket and had 3 drinks for $60! So don't let the price keep you away from a short visit to Paris, right here in Louisville!
Robin greeted us at the door and it was awesome from the get go. The food the service and the food were outstanding. Will be returning soon. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Thanks for another pleasant evening. Great service and my favorite food - this time including a birthday cake and dessert wine!
Excellent sole and accompanying food. Very tasty cheese plate.
Celebrated our 42nd Wedding anniversary @ Brasserie Provence, our favorite restaurant. NEVER disappoints - fabulous service, food, and ambience!
Enjoyed our meal, atmosphere, and waiter. Thank you!
We were celebrating my husband’s birthday as indicated in my online reservation. The hostess and server were aware and made it more of a celebration. Food and service were excellent.
Unfilled water glasses are my main issue. That and the cursory acknowledgment of our presence by the owner.
Food was excellent. The timing of service was good. Chris our server did a great job and was very helpful
The service, meal, and ambience were all excellent.
Great as always—Brasserie Provence is one of our favorite restaurants.
The food quality was well below the quality I expected. Not sure I'll return.
Just save your self the trouble of hand wringing over the menu and get the pork chop and the lamb shank. I repeat, if you want a 4-5 star meal just stick with those two dishes. Everything else is in a lessor league and will have you lamenting the heftiness of your tab. But the pork and the lamb will have you thinking you got a steal.
What a wonderful dining experience. We went for our Anniversary and they made it very special for us. Highly recommend
The restaurant was very pretty and cozy. Food and wine was delicious and a good size portion. Didn't love the fact that they kept trying to clear off the table so much. Made me feel like I was being rushed. Other than that great experience!
Excellent food, friendly service, and conducive to a fun gathering.
We went for Mother’s Day and they presented a set menu of 3 courses. There were at least 4 choices for each course making it hard to choose. I started with the Salmon Eggs Benedict which had a perfectly cooked poached egg with smoked salmon on top a crispy English muffin. A very light bernaise sauce was the perfect touch. Absolutely delicious.
My second course I had Grilled salmon on top of a Mushroom Risotto which was to die for. The salmon was crispy on the outside and super moist on the inside. And the risotto was al dente, while creamy with mushrooms that were super fresh.
My finishing course did not disappoint (although I was seriously Full) and I couldn’t keep myself from devouring the Key Lime Pie. And I can’t omit the French Press Coffee (delivered in a French Press at the table) which was just as substantial as all the food and details of my excellent meal!!!
The best! Have eaten here several times and the food and service are always excellent! Saturday night before Mother's Day was no exception... ribeye was perfect... shrimp pasta couldn't have been any better. Thank you for another great experience and we'll be back soon!
Service 10 out of 10. Portions were great. Sea bass was excellent!
Foie Gras was outstanding. Wine was great. Nice atmosphere and attentive service. Menu was extensive and portions was not too big. We split the Chateaubrian 3 ways and it was more than enough.
Truly lovely experience. We plan to return with friends and family.
Great food, wine , craft cocktails and desserts . Quiet and relaxing atmosphere and servers are FIRST RATE . Don’t miss an opportunity for a flawless and enjoyable dining experience . No booming intercom noise either !! Parking is also uncomplicated.
