Brasserie of Light
The centrepiece of the restaurant will be a 24ft crystal encrusted Pegasus statue created especially by Damien Hirst, his largest scale artwork in London. Martin Brudnizki consulted on the design, which features bold, colourful and light filled interiors, with an impressive central bar and private dining room. Diners will enter the double-height space via an exclusive entrance on Duke Street.
Brasserie of Light will serve an eclectic mix of classic British and internationally inspired dishes with an extensive all-day A La Carte menu featuring; breakfast, elevenses, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and weekend brunch alongside wine and cocktails.
From sunrise to late evening, Brasserie of Light will offer something for everyone.
Our table was ready promptly at 6pm. We were greeted quickly and asked to take our drinks order etc.
Drinks and food came promptly and was delicious.
Fab service. Great food
Food excellent as always. The woman DJ livened things up while keeping the volume at a manageable level. Could still have a conversation without having to shout. Service professional and generally slick.
This is the second time I have been there in a row where the food was disappointing for half of the party and had to be returned to the kitchen because it was far too salty. This was the case with 2 different dishes. Though they offered to replace the food with another dish but at 10.15 pm -too late. This is the same dish that was perfect the first 3 visits and disappointing the last 2 . They need to address this. The staff are nice though the service has been very slow in general. Ambience is nice and wonderful interior but with so many fantastic restaurants they need to improve
Food was excellent
Tables v small
Wonderful food and atmosphere! I would highly recommend!
It’s become our favorite place to meet and bring friends.
Getting to the point, this was a really irritating place to go. 10 minutes into our meal 2 people sat in the (very, very near) adjacent table and followed with a loud debate about what to eat and then each for the next 20 minutes separately phoning their fathers to tell them about their lives, their businesses, how much they were paying their staff, etc, etc. Strange and ghastly. I asked and was told that Brasserie of Light does not have a mobile phone policy and that their guests were free to behave in this way - while acknowledging that the tables were very close together. No offer was made to move us to another table. This narrative was repeated by a manager when I asked to speak to one at the end of the meal. This was a real pity and it would otherwise e quite a nice place - but perhaps thai is the problem with places that are "destinations" for dining!
Been many times, all good, consistently a great buzzy environment :)
Do not go in the weekend. Really poor customer service, noisy and too busy. Waiters seemed over worked and very unhappy to be there!
Great restaurant lovely lively atmosphere.. perfect for a celebration
Went with a girlfriend and would recommend for a nice girls night out venue. As there were only 2 of us, we had a table which is very close to those next to you so that was the only bad point, as your conversation was heard by at least 4 other people. But great cocktails, food and our server was fantastic and informative to our dietary requirements.
We enjoyed our meal and loved the venue. The veg dish with sweet potato was rather underwhelming (both of us had it) but the Choc Bubbles dessert was great.
Great decor and location. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Had a great meal with good presentation.
I received an email saying booking had been cancelled by restaurant; however we dined at the restaurant although it was 5 of us instead of 6 people. Can you make sure my account is credited for this reservation? Thx
We had a table for two...we had a long lunch and there were four tables for two next to us ...all empty...my daughter arrived and was told we had left...we hadn’t and we were asked to move to the bar as it was policy to reclaim the table despite the empty tables not even having been cleared. They had no more diners waiting yet we were asked to move as it was ‘policy’
What a shame...I was embarrassed...my friend left unhappy...all the good work undone by staff who misled my daughter who was upset, I was embarrassed and my friend unhappy...not clever.
Chances of return...none...and we eat out frequently
Beautiful restaurant for a lunch of surprises and exquisitely presented food, all reasonably priced given the care and attention that went into each dish.
Gorgeous morning for a special occasion
good.My friends and I love it
Such a beautiful environment, interesting and high quality ingredients within an interesting and varied menu plus always charming service. My only gripe is that wines by the glass seem very pricey.
The service was really bad the waiter did not know how to smile
Lovely food, great scenery however service was poorer than usual on this occasion. Won’t stop me going back though haha
Really great evening, good food and ambiance would definitely recommend for Central
Gorgeous setting, incredibly sumptuous food, music bit thumping for my liking but the food more than made up for it. Great light, airy atmosphere.
Really good but the tables for two people are still too close together. What a pity they don't remove just ONE table to give more space between the tables
When we were led to our table there was no room to squeeze in on either side but the hostess just left us to pull out the table ...I had to call someone to help us!!...
Fabulous meal and service.
Beautiful place but highly disappointing food. Go and have a drink to enjoy the place but abstain from real dinner/lunch
Slow service. Cold food. Under-seasoned food. Felt like a restaurant that doesn’t feel the need to make an effort....
Good veggie options.
Fun atmosphere. Like a party, but where you can still have a conversation. Bartenders were great! Can’t wait to go back.
Great ambiance... burger over cooked, waitress not too well versed in wines... no bread was offered.. still beautiful, good music, good people, stunning decor. Really hip!
Aesthetically wonderful. Great hustle and bustle. Food good but not exceptional. Service is terrible, terrible, terrible. Endless mistakes - such as gin and tonic turning up with no gin in a glass full of ice; server not writing down the food order and a colleague appearing 20 minutes later to ask us what we had ordered; servers studiously avoiding diners’ eyes.
Surpassed my expectations in terms of decor and food quality.
Staff were relaxed and friendly.
Had drinks at the bar and tried some of the cocktails.
Starters & mains were delicious in particular the burrata and smoked tomatoes which came under a glass cloche filled with smoke. The blackened cod was better than sushi samba’s and the side of rice and quinoa flavoursome. Full on favour in every bite and reasonably priced all considered.
If you are a Barbie girl in a Barbie world .... this is for you kiddo ... especially the pink marble & mirror loos!
We were there for a special birthday.
Welcome excellent. We were served by Sharif who was charming polite. The dishes we selected excellent presentation and enjoyed very much. They had noted we were celebrating a birthday and presented a little cake. The ambience, decor stunning. Fabulous.
Amazing desserts and cocktails with reasonably priced main courses. I’d go back again
Service was very slow we had to go to the till to pay for our bill
Food and service very good BUT the tables are too close together. There is no privacy with the tables about 300mm apart, you can hear everything your neighbors are saying.
Overpriced terrible quality wines but a nice ambiance
Couldn’t fault it. Expected to be over priced but thought it reasonable. £13 for a full English. Quality of everything top notch and made a lovely special birthday breaky
Apart from the woeful state of the ladies toilets, this was a lovely experience, thanks mainly to a very friendly and efficient waitress, great food and drink and a fabulous space to be in awe of.
