   The cups used for drinks were dirty when they gave them to us—there was a lipstick stain on the cup when we used a straw the whole time. Also, there was hairs in our food and a bug in the water as well. The bread was also stale and cold.

   Sat outside for our pre-theater dinner. The service was excellent, the food was beautifully prepared and served and the ambience was delightful. We will definitely be back!

   The food was very good. The best duck confit that I have ever eaten. Wine by the glass was good, with creative cocktails. However, a person who didn’t order a first course got her entree with our salads. After our entrees were brought to the table by servers other than our own, our server disappeared. Never came by to ask how our meal was, take my order for wine with our entrees or refill water glasses. After asking a bread/water person and another waiter to get us water and wine, our server briefly returned to take the wine order. By that time we were more than half way through our entrees. We sat on the patio out front and the weather was sublime. A great spot to wait for our server.

    We went for Father’s Day, not sure what a regular Sunday brunch crowd looks like but I’m happy I made reservations. We sat inside but close enough to an open door that led to the side patio. Brunch menu only. I really chose this restaurant because we love Duck Confit which is only on the lunch menu. Highly recommend the mimosa kit and the Macaroni Au Gratin.

    An absolutely incredible dinner. Service from our waiter was wonderful, the prices are much more reasonable than they need to be, wine list is great, cocktail list great and the steak tartar is one of the best I've ever had. I'd gladly come back.

    So delicious . Diamond the waiter is amazing Peach soup was incredible Inside was way too loud and ruined the whole vibe inside so we ate outside which has no ambiance but we enjoyed ourselves anyway!

    This was absolutely the best meal we had in DC. Service was impeccable (we were not rushed at all, the waiters gave excellent recommendations, etc). The food perfect. The peach soup was like nothing any of us had ever had. The escargot, creme brûlée, macaroni au gratin, ratatouille and tarte au citron were all lovely, too.

    Very poor service. Waited 5 minutes after our food came for silverware despite asking the person who brought our food (he immediately told our waiter who did nothing - an apparent standoff as to who brings the silverware). Otherwise, too slow on the service, no one poured our wine, etc. - despite decent food, would not recommend.

    My husband, ten year old granddaughter and I dined outside on a Saturday night recently, and all three of us had a terrific experience. The steak frites were perfect for the ten year old while we adults sampled delicious soup ( cucumber gazpacho) and the bitter greens salad( the half portion was quite large). An entree salad for grandpa and the appetizer shrimp and cheese ramekin for me, and then desserts, all of which were delicious. Our server was very attentive and efficient, and we plan to return!

    This return experience was very underwhelming compared to my first visit. Not only did the server mistake our coffee orders twice, she gave me a nondairy alternative I explicitly specified that I'm allergic to -- twice. The same mistake happened to my friend's coffee order. And the latte and cappuccino themselves were dismal. Then, in the middle of the meal, two mussells were full of sand. It happens, so I dismissed the first one as a reasonable error. But when it happened in rapid succession with the second, it was a bit upsetting. Altogether, I'm reticent to return to Brasserie Liberte.

    Too bad. This restaurant really has a problem with service: it’s bad (long wait for everything, mistakes with orders, not following food requests, overcharging, etc.). We went to the restaurant when it first opened and had the exact same problem. We waited a while, hoping the service would improve, but it hasn’t. Too bad because the food is pretty good. But, the service is so bad that we won’t be going back.

    My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Liberté. The staff were attentive and nice, the food was delicious, and who could forget the Mimosa Kit? Hubby and I are always looking for new places to brunch, and Liberté stand at the top of our list for a repeat trip. From beginning to end, we enjoyed every meal. We actually ate dessert!

    Interior and service were nothing memorable. Patio was nicer. The avocado toast (which, full disclosure, I ordered without poached egg) was sad... just a piece of toast with a brown-flecked slice of avocado on top and a tangle of frisee. No crumble of feta, pickled onions, or seasoning of any kind. Pathetic portion of home fries. The $35 bottle of bubbly with assorted juices was the highlight of the meal. Many other places to go for brunch in DC-- likely won't return.

    Delicious brunch. Love the mimosas with three different juices and the bread is so good I’d come just for it. Space is gorgeous, service top notch. It’s become my go to place when I’m in town.

    This was my first time and it did not disappoint! The service was wonderful and allowed us to have a nice leisurely lunch. The space is very beautiful and I appreciate all of the booths! The food was just wonderful especially the shrimp dip. Overall a great value in the middle of Georgetown!

    It was my moms birthday and let me just say it was the best place I have ever been to in 8 years! I want to live there. And for dessert, i recommend the chocolate pot de creme!

    Beautiful restaurant, love the decor. The service and food were fantastic and we thought the price was super reasonable. A little loud (thanks family who let their kids play with what sounded like bubble wrap) but not too bad. Great meal!

    Two of us went for lunch, attracted by their Facebook advertisements. The restaurant is nicely laid out with tables far apart and very pleasant. We gave up on the original plan to sit outside due to noisy and dusty construction next door. Nevertheless, inside dining is very pleasant. The food is typical of French brasserie cusine. We both had NY Strip steak. Cooked to our desired level of donness and well presented. The dowbnsides were that the meat was somewhat sinewy, over salted and overly oily. The vegetables were fresh and well cooked, The server was great!

    This was such a charming and delicious French restaurant in Georgetown. I loved the inside table layout, it felt private and intimate. The food was fantastic and the flavors were well thought paired.
