Service was really good!! Atmosphere is sophisticated and on the quiet side, but we went on a Tuesday so there were not a ton of people. The food was pretty good. The only thing I will say is I expected the salmon dish to be better but the Bronzino was amazing!
Great wine list, amazing food, beautiful patio dining and great service. We will definitely be back.
The food is always delicious. One of the best brunch establishments in DC.
Even when the service is slow, the managers and other staff cover to ensure you are not sitting too long.
I loved it. The restroom was perfect and beautiful. Staff and food was top notch and not so expensive. I am definitely coming back again
Honestly just average food for how expensive it is
This was my second visit for brunch. I requested a special table as we were celebrating a friend getting married. When I arrived the host said she thought I had already arrived and she seated a group at the booth I had asked for. I know there is a policy, but I put in my reservation and called. I took the next best table and we had a great time, good food and drinks. Our server was also good. It’s a great brunch :)
When we arrived, the restaurant appeared to be at 100% capacity -- too full for our comfort. There's great potential here. Some dishes were absolutely wonderful, such as the cucumber gazpacho and the mussels. Others, such as the hanger steak and the New York strip, were less so. We were never offered dessert so we can't weigh in there.
Good French Brasserie with nice ambiance Slightly overpriced but food was good and waiter was timely and accessible when needed.
Good enough, if unspectacular. Service was excellent, food good but not great. Very good wine list and wine by the glass selections.
Food was delicious! Service was fantastic. Highly recommended
Perfecto! Only complaint it was very loud. But I’d go back anytime, everything was wonderful!
The experience was lovely!! The food was delicious and the staff constantly checked on us. I would definitely come back. The prices are phenomenal for the quality of food you get.
This venue is truly something special! The decor is absolutely stunning and worth a visit in itself. The food, service and everything else was top notch as well. 10/10 would visit again!
The burger came out cold and overcooked and the beef tar tar was excellent.
Enjoyed a delightful bunch with old friends here. Wonderful service, great presentation, exquisite presentation. Do yourself a favor and indulge in the benedict; the chef's hollondaise is beyond compare.
All was great. They even made a dish the tie on their dinner menu for me at brunch.
The wine, food, diversity of menu all exceeded expectations. I complement the Chef, Sommelier, and staff. I travel and dine globally, often looking for the gems. Liberté is a gem. Though I'm not 100% vegetarian, I often will choose a nicely interesting vegetarian dish. My guests had fish and beef. Starters and mains were each delightful. I will return soon. And, I highly recommend for folks looking for very good French. And, the wine list is extraordinarily well developed and diverse (not huge nor intimidating) - we enjoyed a sparkling Loire that I've only had in France.
Delicious food and Awesome Service. Thank you Dimitry ;)
Outstanding personal service. Food was meh
Service is outstanding. Ambiance is incredible. Menu is very well-rounded. We ordered 6 dishes between the two of us so we could sample our way through the menu. My favorite items were all on the appetizers list, and then the mussels... Wow. Very well-stocked bar, with a friendly bar manager who won’t steer you wrong with food or drink recommendations. Really wonderful experience overall, but by far the front of house staff are what make this place a restaurant I will now make one of my regular go-to’s.
Wonderful food! Not the friendliest service.
I made a reservation for 2 on Sunday, April 18 at noon. Since it was a beautiful morning, we had called the restaurant to inquire about patio seating as we were thinking about bringing our dog. We were told the patio was first come, first served, so we decided not to bring our dog. We arrived about 11:45 am. My husband had gone to the car to drop off something, so I checked in. The hostess asked a couple checking in before me, who did not have a reservation, if they wanted inside or outside seating. They chose inside seating. My husband did not hear any of this since he was not yet there. Then a different host checked me in. I asked for an outside table since I love to dine al fresco. There were 2 outside tables by the door that were available, but the host told me they were reserved for people who were waiting, although I did not see anyone waiting, and those tables had been cleaned and sanitized as I was waiting to check in. I asked how long the wait was for an outside table. I was told it would be one hour to 1 1/2 hour wait. My husband, who had arrived by then, heard my questions and began to proclaim loudly that he wanted to sit inside. He believes an establishment is always right and the customer never is. So we sat inside. There were very few people sitting inside. My assumption is that the host was "directing" people inside to give the inside servers some tables. About 5 minutes after we were seated inside, an outside table next to a window near where we were seated became available. It sat empty for 15 minutes (I timed it) until a couple was seated. It then became obvious to me that the host had lied to us and deliberately directed us inside. The entire meal was ruined. I will never return to this restaurant due to the very poor customer service.
The service was terrible. Our server disappeared at multiple times, including for 30 minutes at the end when I finally found a manager to get our check; the manager didn’t care. We were seated in a room that became empty long before we finished, a hostess error. Drinks sat the bar with ice melting long before being delivered. Cod patties came as balls with little taste of cod; seemed like something from a bag of frozen balls that could be purchased from a cheap grocer. Boeuf Bourguignon was terrible; dried out beef in a thick, sweet gravy. At $26, it wasn’t priced consistently with the prepared version, but it should resemble the real thing.
Our server was Eduardo, who typically bartends. He went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Great service and will definitely return!
Always reliable with respect to the quality of and portions of food.
Little accident with the causing a glass of iced tea to be dumped on my husband.
Not a big deal but it would have been nice to have been offered a "little" something to say oops.
My friend canceled and I had to dine alone. It was one of my best dining experiences. The chef is a master.
Food was incredible but the service was slow. We ended up spending 30-45 minutes more than we would have just because we had to wait a lot. The mac and cheese was amazing and I would return just to have that!
Great food and service
Friendly and efficient service and fresh well prepared food.
Always great and great service and foos
For our first Sunday brunch at a restaurant in more than a year, 6 of us chose Brasserie Liberte because of our experience there among various restaurants we visit every Sunday morning. We were not disappointed. The food is wonderful, the staff is welcoming, the place is beautifully decorated but not stuffy and the service is great.
Very attentive and courteous staff, our birthday celebration for our friend was just perfect.
Excellent food and service at a reasonable price. Here you can get the Georgetown ambiance without being snobish.
Requested written of happy birthday on dessert plate for birthday , horrible horrible work, looked like a Halloween dessert. Very disappointed
One if my favorit resturants in DC. The food is great and the prices are even better. The resturant and outdoor ear is beautifully decorated. Their French Onion Soup is amazing. Their drinks are good but don't have a tun of alcohol in them. The bread and butter is freshly made in the resturant.
The menu is classic french and very good. We had escargot to start with and then cassoulet and mussels with french fries. Everything was wonderful. Even had a fabulous dessert. The outdoor patio was very nice, so now that the weather is warmer, it's a lovely way to spend a warm evening.
It did take quite a while to get service when we first sat down -- I think there may have been some confusion about who's table it was, not sure. But once we did finally get a waitress, she was very good.
Expensive for what it is, the only dish that was worth buying was the steak frites.
Spent Easter Sunday at Brassiere Liberte. Everything was delicious! Service was excellent. Portion sizes were generous. We will define back on our next trip to D.C.!
Lovely in every way. Food was beautifully prepared and delicious. The service was top notch. A wonderful brunch!
