   My fiancé and I have been meaning to visit Brasserie la Banque and the experience did not disappoint. The food was phenomenal. The waitstaff were friendly and ensured that we were always taken care of.

   We sat at the Chef’s counter to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Everyone made it a special celebration! From cocktails to desserts, it was delicious!

   This is, by far, an exceptional restaurant and experience! The food was absolutely incredible, rivaling the best of French restaurants we’ve dined at in France. The service was top notch. Ashley was our waitress and kept us laughing while making incredible suggestions for our dining. We had the privilege of meeting Cornelius, the gentleman who prepared our oysters, and is an amazing man. I’ve never seen someone put in so much effort and care to preparing the oysters and it was truly a pleasure to watch him at work. Top to bottom, this will be the restaurant to beat… It was phenomenal in every regard!

    The food was good. Everyone was happy with their food. Service needs to be better. We had to wait for drinks, completely empty glasses on the table several times, our entrees came out before I even finished my soup, we had to ask for forks to eat entrees with and we were constantly asking people other than our waitress for items needed.

    Overall wonderful dining experience. Located in a circa 1700 building offers French cuisine, beautiful presentation and superb service. Lower level “hides” an intimate cozy bar for a pre or post dinner cocktail. Totally enjoyable dining experience.

    Order Coq au vin was very salty. Didn’t taste like the dish I’ve had before. Not even any wine sauce. Very disappointed.

    This has been on our list to try for a while but we were pretty disappointed. From simple things like dry bread and cold, unspreadable butter, to the bouillabaisse being so salty you could barely eat it. Our food for 3 people also took over an hour to come out. The highlight for me was the architecture of the old building and the French onion soup.

    Very cool one year old place in old bank bldg on E Bay and Broad, in Charleston. Great vibe, wonderful food drinks and service. All with a trendy French flair. You will enjoy!

    We had been really looking forward to this meal as we are Francophiles and were hoping for some traditional brasserie food. The meal was good, just not special. We started with an escargot. They were served out of the shell in a ramequin. They were a bit tough and without the shell its sort of loses some of the fun. Our daughter (age 11) had the boeuf tartare. The beef was very nice but it was topped with way too much sour cream. As she said, "it should have just had a smear on the side." My wife had the Duck Cassoulet. The beans were unremarkable and the duck was a bit dry. I had the Coq Au Vin, which did not resemble any Coq Au Vin that I have ever had. It was a small breast and drum stick, and while tender, did not appear to have been braised in wine. There were a few mushrooms, but nothing else on the plate. No sauce, no carrots, no potatoes. Overall the meal was quite disappointing. There are too may other good options in Charleston. Probably wont be back any time soon.

    We were out for a team dinner and as always, Brasserie La Banque was wonderful. Great atmosphere, delicious food and superb service. We all had an amazing time and will keep Brasserie at the top of our list!

    Outstanding from start to finish. Attentive and informative staff. Apps, entrees and dessert were flavorful, plentiful and fairly priced...defying the stigma of French restaurants and pricey small portions. Everything had a pleasant smooth flow. We were in Charleston for 6 nights, dining out each...this was our fav.

    Ashley our server was the bomb ! We sat at the bar & had a Birds Eye view of the chief’s working the kitchen which was great fun. It was our anniversary and they provide sone champagne which was a nice touch. The weather (Charleston downtown) was a rain storm but it was worth going out… we know our way around downtown but had not yet experienced this restaurant. Folks at the bar are always social and fun.

    Superb spot. Decor, food, service and atmosphere are pitch perfect. The menu is classic brasserie and beautifully done. Staff is very competent which is much appreciated. Maitre D circulated to ask about meals and service. She gave us a free dessert when we said we don't usually eat dessert - flourless chocolate cake on bottom, chocolate mousse in the middle and a Brulee top with a strawberry sauce.

    Caviar was great. Everything else was fine. They need to update their online menu as two out of the three foods we chose this place to try we’re not longer offered. Restaurant itself is very aesthetically pleasing!

    Outstanding dinner! The French onion soup was delicious. I had the steak fritz which was a little small but delicious. Enjoyed a bottle of wine and had some bourbon for an after drink w dessert. Highly recommend. We had a high top table next to the cooks.
