Unfortunately the fire alarm went off and stayed on our entire meal. It was loud and annoying and while staff was apologetic they did not do anything to compensate for the misery. Was supposed to be family special occasion but we couldn't even talk. The food seemed good, portions too big, but we couldn't enjoy given the situation.

The restaurant was freezing! We asked to move away from the windows but it was only a little better. Uncomfortable. Food could have been hotter as well. Shortribs very salty. Endive salad very good.

Consistently great experiences at Brasserie Jo. Service is great and the menu is fabulous. Food always comes out from the kitchen cooked perfectly and they have a very nice and well priced wine list.

I was overcharged for a bottle of wine. They fixed it once I pointed out the difference between the bill and the printed wine list. No doubt an unintentional error, but I suggest you examine the charges in the bill carefully. The bill indicated the correct wine, but the price was wrong.

Second year we had dinner here on New Year's Eve. Food is amazing, service very good. I could live on those carrots. Tables are a little small and close together, and cocktails are pricey, but overall, a fabulous experience.

Despite very few tables on a holiday lunch hour, service was very slow. We reminded waiter, butt butter did not arrive until our main courses arrived. Sometimes we have an excellent server, sometimes not.

I am happy to report that my experience on Xmas Day was exemplary. I read some of the most recent (pre-holiday) reviews and was worried that the Jo I have known and counted upon for almost 20 years had taken a downturn, but thankfully I did not find that to be the case. We were pleased with the menu choices and prices, the service and seating, the cocktails, portions and value and especially the over-the-top desserts, which are doggie bag worthy. Our server was pleasant and solicitous, as were his back-up staff. One minor note is that the website mentioned a veal chop entrée special, which we would have ordered, but were told that it would not be served until past 5 PM. We were seated at 2:45 PM. On the plus side, the Bouche de Noel dessert special, also not available til 5 PM, was brought to me when I pleaded a bit; no problem. And it was superb. Thanks Jo, for staying consistent. See you again in 2017.
