Wonderful experience. Service was impeccable. Food outstanding. Highly recommend.
Fantastic service!! Excellent food!! Food was delicious and well worth the price. Will certainly be back. The duck was to die for!
I believe this was a two dollar sign listing and I think it might be more expensive than that. Without alcohol or dessert but with the soup and the entrées of steak and fish The total was just over $90 including tip.
Always excellent. The vegetable risotto with truffle oil is the VERY best! Brings me back time and time again.
Spot on attentive service as typical for the restaurant. Start to finish every detail was fantastic.
The food was very good. I portion size was average - I would have liked to have more food for your money.
Our waiter was friendly and charming, the food was amazing from start to finish. Best mussels I've ever had! Very fresh and melts in your mouth. The dipping broth was the best part, we were sad when someone took it away! Our entrees were all devoured within 5 minutes. I highly recommend the braised short ribs and duck leg confit. Large serving size and very tender. My friend enjoyed it so much he took his mom there again the next day!
Food and service were excellent.
My sister and I shared the cheese/fruit/nut platter. It was both pretty and delicious. The sole entree and lamb shank entree were delicious. The bread was great too.
Our server, Salvador, was very friendly and attentive. He enhanced our experience.
I have eaten here many times before and always enjoy it.
Went here and enjoyed the restaurant week menu. The food was out of this world good! The vegetable risotto was so creamy and flavorful. The beer short ribs were so tender and juicy. Would definitely dine here again next time we’re in Houston!
I took a friend visiting here and overall it was great. We are off the restaurant week menu and the food was so good, we order the lobster bisque off the revalue menu and neither one of us really liked it but likely just a preference. They had several people who kept your water glass filled, which I really appreciated, but our actual sever was just okay. We sat there for quite some time before he even came over but we did arrive for our reservation early. Overall, it was a really lovely experience and I will definitely go back.
We went for the first time for my wife birthday day. He had an amazing experience with the service and food they provided. They were really friendly.
My friend and I had Saturday brunch here during Houston Restaurant Weeks. Even though there were only 2 courses, the portions were large and filling! They also start with yummy bread and butter. For the first course, I had the sole filet with purple potatoes and other vegetables, and my friend had the chicken and waffle with bourbon sauce. We followed that with a banana-Nutella crepe and panna cotta with strawberries. Everything but the crepe was absolutely delicious! The crepe was too thick and tasted boring. There weren’t that many people in the morning so service was fast, but only semi-friendly. Thanks BdP for a good meal!
Good place for crepes, lovely location next to Discovery Green. Nice bar and open view so that people watching is good. Excellent waitstaff and good options for brunch.
Food and service were excellent. The bread is always so good. The filet of sole entree was well-presented and well-prepared and delicious. Desserts were also wonderful.
The service was very attentive. Waiter made good recommendations and suggestions.
Liked the touch of a stand to hang out purses.
great brunch place. nice ambiance and good value for food.
Everything was great from the food to the service.
My first time here and ordered off the Houston Resteraunt Week menu. Everything was delicious. Had the lobster bisque, duck leg confit, and pistachio custard. The thrill of the evening was the preparation of the absinthe after dinner drink with the absinthe fountain and sugar cube. The absinthe was very strong and could be diluted with water. The service was outstanding. Valet parking a breeze. The open window concept allowed us to people watch while we ate dinner near Discovery Green. This is a gem of a place-put it on your list to try.
Food and service were spot on! Authentic French food in the heart of Houston. Who knew?
The food and service were, at best, average. Certainly, not consistent with the high praise given in other reviews. I do not plan to dine there again and would not recommend the restaurant.
The HRW menu was excellent - all of the items were winners!
Solid brunch joint by discovery green. Great value.
Very lovely brasserie, brunch was terrific and the service was wonderful. Ordered the drink of the day, it came in a little fish bowl with a ladle - quite fun! The food was very tasty, and beautifully served and was at the right temperature! When in Houston I would go hear it again in a heartbeat...
Tried the restaurant week menu and can definitely recommend it. Service was great and we loved sitting looking out the windows people watching. We will certainly be back.
We love French cuisine and were happy to have experienced it at Brasserie du Parc. Authentic dishes, impeccable service and a very good wine list. If you're looking for authentic French cuisine in Houston, this is the place.
Service was great and the food was delicious! Especially the desserts! Pistachio Custard was delicious!
I was celebrating my birthday and wanted to go downtown and have French fare. The food was just what I was hoping for and my waiter was friendly and professional, providing excellent wine recommendations for my lunch and dessert. Not fussy, just right and obviously a choice for business personnel, judging by the patrons at nearby tables. Certainly hope I get to go again sometime.
Visited during restaurant week and enjoyed the brunch menu. The chicken and waffles were delicious as was the sauce to dip the chicken in- SO good! I also had the banana nutella crepe, I didn't need to finish it but I did because you can't put down your utensil. Both food portions were very generous as well.
Our Sunday brunch was delightful and delicious. Fantastic waitress who did many small things to make our meal wonderful.
Overall our experience at Brasserie was good but the service was not what it could have been. We went to brunch in mid afternoon on a Sunday when it was no that busy. The waiter was constantly trying to clear our table which made us feel rushed the whole time. The dessert came out before we were done with our main course but we did not want to send it back so it was a bit awkward having two plates for three people all on one small table. The waiter was moderately attentive.
Excellent eating experience.. from walking in the door and being greeted by employee, seated and drink order taken, was maybe 5 minutes. Meal was served hot and excellent taste. Server was very friendly and helpful.
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner during Houston Restaurants week. Great location for dinner when downtown.
Pleasantly surprised. Interior is a little austere, but food very authentic, service excellent, atmosphere warm and inviting. Will definitely go back.
Overall, yet another lovely experience at BdP. We arrived early to enjoy happy hour at the bar before our reservation: that was the only disappointment of the night, since I told the bartender I preferred vodka (only) in my Apothecary Cup drink and he put lots of gin in it anyway. I barely managed three sips before setting it aside. Service at our table was exemplary and very attentive, as usual, even though we were ordering from the HRW menu. The tartare was severely overdressed, but perhaps that's the Americanized version in which the flavor of the beef is covered entirely by a dressing. The bisque was outstanding. We LOVED the duck confit and the braised short ribs. The fillet of sole was also very good. All three were beautifully plated. Our fourth guest had the steak (upcharge) and was unimpressed: it was cooked to the requested-temperature, but pretty flavorless. The nutella crepes and panna cotta were good, but the pistachio custard was outstanding. Overall, the food was very good and the service, exceptional. A few misses will not prevent us from returning. One minor suggestion: the music really doesn't fit the ambience or level of service, I'd love to hear something a bit more in-line with the beautiful setting.
Casual environment; quality French cuisine; great and attentive service
Wow!!! I've had my eye on this place since my last visit to Houston but wasn't able to make it until last night. I can't say enough amazing things! their food isby a MasterChef from France and you can tell. The manager is super friendly and runs a lot of great ideas like burgers and low-key things before the baseball games.
We chose the brilliantly crafted three course prix fixe.. I chose the seared foie gras, duck confit and banana with nutella crepe... my business partner had braised short ribs. Both of these meats just fell completely off the bone just by looking at them they were so tender and juicy!! Seared foie gras was perfectly accompanied. Duck confit had perfectly complemented purple potatoes and caramelized onions.
Very nice wine selection...even my oaky buttery Chardonnay from California. This kind of gourmet food typically costs twice as much at other French bistros. I will definitely be back!! I wish there was one in my hometown I would eat there at least once or twice a week with the prices, atmosphere, level of food quality and outstanding service.
Thank you Nancy, Salvador, and Chef! please keep up the great work and keep the prices low so everyone wants to come back.
P.s. I didn't think I would have any leftovers but it was so much food I did. I had them again for lunch today and it was even better the day after!
Great. We shared a very fine dinner before the Astros game. We sat in the glassed in street room by the park with good view and quiet. Food and wine were excellent. Our waiter was attentive and good. Thanks to all who served us. Cheers!
Music was loud..Playing AC/DC Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap doesn’t seem to be appropriate music for this type of restaurant or for hosting business lunch.
great brunch place by discovery green. casual yet comfortable.
Great Restaurant Week menu. Appetizers, entrees and desserts were all excellent. Cocktail menu is outstanding.
