Gréât place in a fun part of downtown Houston. The menu is typical French but that’s what we went for. The service was great, the food was very good, and the prices were decent. I’d definitely go back
Great brunch joint by discovery green. Casual and comfortable ambiance.
Service was quite poor. Despite being relatively empty and multiple people waiting on our table of four, they had a lot of trouble remembering and explaining both menu items and specials. Had a create your own crepe station where they placed requested ingredients on a premade crepe, then folded and served immediately so filling was not even warmed. Ordered cafe au lait and received a latte. Desserts (crepe gateau and bread pudding) didn’t have much flavor. Checks included the wrong items, and it took quite a bit of explaining to get them corrected to what was ordered. Very expensive for what you’re getting, and overall quality and experience was mediocre to poor.
The food and service were outstanding. The noise level would have been perfect if not for the overly loud obnoxious couple at the next table who had too much to drink. That is not the restaurants fault. We would recommend this restaurant to all of our friends.
Everything was wonderful. The servers were attentive and very fun. I loved this place.
Great local brunch place. Great value as well.
Nice place with good service and food. Etoile is better.
Food was ok, I love a good French onion soup and escargot combo, but I’ve had much better. Service was extremely slow despite the empty restaurant
Such a nice restaurant across the street from Discovery Green. Great food and service. Unpretentious wine list. I will return!!
This place has been on my list since it opened. Finally had a chance to eat there prior to a show at Hobby Center. Wonderful menu with several French inspired dishes and others that will appeal to this looking for something ore mainstream. Great bar menu and wine selection. Ask your waiter what they recommend to accompany your dish.
If you are in Houston, and you don’t eat here...you are missing out! The service, the setting, the staff are all OUTSTANDING! Having dined all over the world, I am completely confident saying this is one of the top ten dining experiences I’ve ever had. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!
Though it was a little late, still within time kitchen to be opened. Felt wasn’t up to par. The mussels were overdone. We like this place, will give it another try.
We had truffle arancinis to start. Excellent and good sauce. Next, we had wonderful escargot. Then we had the sole and the filet. Both were cooked to perfection. Lastly, for desert we had creme brûlée and vanilla bread pudding which were of the charts. We will definitely be back after this 5 star experience.
The food was extremely mediocre - very clearly straight food service. The truffle arrancini balls were luke warm and served with ranch dressing. The cheese plate came with no bread or crackers or jam, honey, dips, meats, etc. literally sliced cheese and dried apricots. The dark bar had a line of dirty glasses on it as though the bus staff took the evening off. Pretty sure my gin cocktail had beer in it. Don’t plan to return.
This was a belated birthday gift from my daughter along with tickets to High Jackman’s concert at the Toyota Center. Both the dinner and concert were fabulous
Food is surprisingly good and reasonably priced. It is quiet enough that one can have a normal conversation without straining to be heard. Service is prompt, and the place is light and airy. It feels like its name suggests--a "brasserie" on the "left bank".
Wonderful time. Attentive staff and great food
My wife and I went to Brasserie du Parc for dinner on a Saturday night. We are regulars at this restaurant and decided we would try some different items. We decided to get several appetizers and only one main entree. The escargots were our first appetizer, appearing hot and covered with butter, herbs and garlic. They were excellent. We had the remaining appetizers delivered with the main entree. First was the Arancini à la Truffe, with butternut squash and truffle in a ball breaded, fried and served with prosciutto. These were really delicious and will be ordered again. The last appetizer was the Fromage de Chèvre Tiède, a spring mix salad with an olive cake and goat cheese. Again, the flavors were excellent together.
The main entree was the Sole "Meunière". The fish was firm and fresh and accompanied by fingerling potatoes and roasted cauliflower. While the food dish was good, they were a little light on their excellent caper brown butter sauce. I think I should have asked for a little extra on the side because I really missed the way it pulls this dish together.
As always, the service was excellent and the environment relaxed and pleasant. Clearly this is a top choice among downtown eateries...with reasonable prices for delicious French food.
The food is delicious. The service is fantastic. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Visiting Houston. Wanting to eat at Discovery Green
This is as close as it gets to being in France! Seeing the pictures my wife was doubting I was actually in Houston! Perfectly executed, a good price range.
Outstanding service I had the most attentive waitress. Furthermore the orange duck was amazing , the fois gras was mouthwatering and finally the desert pudding was perfect. This french restaurant was great.
Our food and service were delightful as usual. I always enjoy a meal here. Everything is wonderful.
Attentive, great food, good knowledge of everything
Birthday of a friend. It was excellent. The food, the service, the ambience was very good. The staff was very friendly.
I frequently eat at the Brasserie du Parc and have consistently great experiences. More often for lunch than dinner, but dinner is equally good. Wine list provides a wide variety and price points.
I typically order off the menu but the lunch special on Wednesday was a great fish/shrimp dish accompanied by either soup or desert. The entrée was very tasty and just the right amount of food for lunch. Goldilocks - not too much, not too little. Just right! the strawberry crepe for desert was wonderful! More than needed, but was nice to take home.
Server was attentive, not intrusive, charming. Definitely a go to spot for me and everyone I have taken always enjoyed their mean and service.
Didn't have the main item we went for (mussels) do to poor quality in recent shipment. Had the lobster bisque as an appetizer, and unfortunately the soup was broken and grainy. Had the Saffron risotto which had good flavor but the rice was a bit undercooked. Overall not what we hoped for and probably will not return. However, the service was good and the restaurant was clean.
Lovely bistro ambiance with lots of pretty chandeliers. We sat where we could look out on a green park across the street. Very picturesque. Only good things to say about what we ordered. My husband had a moist and velvety Coq Au Vin. I had the classic sole meunière which I paired with a French Chardonnay suggested by a knowledgeable staff member—delicious!! Excellent dessert menu too. Would go back for sure 👍🏼
Fabulous! Great food, attentive service.
Tiago. Our main server was very attentive and great fun.
Food is tasty and cocktails were original.
Excellent food and service. Waiter was very knowledgeable and done a great job. Food was perfect, highly recommend Brasserie .
Great dinner as always! Date night for me and my wife and this is one of our favorite places in town. The food and service were outstanding as was the wine. Great place for a nice evening out!
Terrible terrible service! We have 5 different ppl waiting on us including a manager! At the end we left without eating our desserts and our last beverage was never brought to us. Very disappointed
Service was excellent. Mussels were outstanding as always. Short ribs were a little dry.
fantastic as usual. Chef Philippe does great work. The Coq au Vin was as close as what I have in France and the caramelized apples with a hint of salt was perfect. Well done chef.
Coq au vin was great, service was good and ambiance was nice, 10/10 would recommend and would definitely go again.
This is my first review as I am sad to have had an unfortunate experience. We explained in the beginning that we had an event to attend and have a hard stop. I bought a nice bottle of champagne only to be served in Cabernet classes. Service was sub par from the beginning as we never received appraiser plates, dinner was served 20 mins later and we had to ask for silverware... and we also had to ask for the check as I believe our server forgot about our event. Sad, but I will not be back.
We had never been to this place before, but will certainly make a point of coming back. Wonderful staff, great food and wine, and really good prices.
Good food, good wine list but the restaurant lacked something in the design that didn’t create the ambience of a Brasserie
They evidently overbooked for their space on this special holiday, and seated us in a small windowless, nondescript room upstairs with a TV on, broadcasting some show that must have been about some person really sick in a hospital room, based on the visuals we were treated to during the start to our visit.
