The food quality was not great. We tried a few drinks, steak and dessert and were just left very unimpressed. Fell short of expectations.
Love this place for the atmosphere, delicious food, fun cocktails and the safety protocols for covid. We sat under the tent and it was fine. One of the best burgers in STL.
Delicious trout, gnocchi and salads. They now have a semi enclosed outdoor heated space that should be great. Bread is also fantastic.
Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, great service. Recommend!
I looked up the menu before deciding to come here, saw that they had a vegetarian rattatouie on the menu, and decided it was worth coming to try this place again after a very long hiatus and being bored of getting the same thing every time. When I sat down, there was no vegetarian entree on the menu at all, which the waiter apologized for and offered to make a vegetarian pasta dish for me. It was fine, but Italian food was not what I was there for. The bibb lettuce salad was also fine, but small and had only an imperceptible amount of dressing on it. The cab franc by the glass is very delicious. Overall I would say this place is overpriced and underwhelming.
Excellent experience. Will be a regular haunt for the family going forward due to ambiance, atmosphere, and quality cuisine and service.
The food was delicious and very filling. I enjoyed the ambiance. Just a great place!
What a perfect brasserie located in the City of St. Louis! They do everything right. The food, the service, the atmosphere all transport you to France. They have it together in every aspect. A personal favorite is the wild burgundy escargot. Try them!
Brunch was excellent. I especially liked the eggs benedict. One in my party was gluten intolerant and they were able to suggest substitutions or omissions in a few items to make them work. The atmosphere was pleasant but it got a little noisy inside by alibi 11 on Sunday morning. Server was very nice.
We went to Brasserie by Niche for our anniversary and they went above and beyond to help us celebrate. After initially seating us at a table in a high traffic area, they moved us to a more private location without us asking them to and brought us each a glass of sparkling wine. The food was great and service exceptional.
We really enjoyed our meal, and intend to go back again! The food was delicious, and they brought out a beautiful dessert at the end, since I told them we were out to celebrate my husband’s birthday. My only complaint would be how loud it got. It was a full house!!
If the brasserie is what authentic French food is in stl, the French have poorly left their mark. The French onion soup was gummy, with thickness of a purée and croutons texture as a gummy worm. The butternut squash soup was poorly blended, and it tasted like under salted cinnamon porridge with vegetable oil. The gougère was passable but lacked any kick to it. For the mains, the duck confit came overcooked, cold, and small, tasted more like sweet generic poultry. The garnish was pitiful, with poorly chopped cilantro on top that just added to the unprofessionalism. The slowed cooked beef, on the other hand, had an acceptable flavor but the carrots were slowed cooked to baby food. For all the dishes above, everything was served slightly cold. Our waiter visibly was uncomfortable with us, and seemed confused by the fact that the service was just poor, even questioning us about having a spoon replaced or not wanting desert. Not to mention that when everything adds up to over $100 and the interior space is rather loud, I’m disappointed in St Louisian’s approval of a restaurant that cannot even get the fundamentals like salt and heat right. For a sleeper food city, St. Louis needs to reevaluate what is acceptable food if the brassiere can slack off to such an extent of just overpriced overhyped generic French intimidation. After my meal, we felt we rather go and get a canes box combo instead, something more affordable and not cocky for charging NYC prices on practically under salted baby food.
Brasserie by Niche has a cozy and inviting ambiance and an amazing menu of food and drinks. Definitely a great place for a romantic dinner or a fancy dinner with friends.
Our reservation was for 7:45 but we didn’t get seated until 8:20. The seating/chair was not super comfortable. Our waitress was good. The food was “ok”- had the steak and the meat was not particularly tender. The fries were great. Would not necessarily recommend to friends unless no other option in Central Westend and probably stick with a burger or something you can’t mess up, if you will. Pricey for that end a bit
Everything was very good except the noise level was high. We enjoyed our selections but found the menu options limited. Wine list was good. Cheese puffs and French onion soup were excellent.
Excellent food and excellent service. Staff was excellent. Thank you for a great evening.
All fantastic except the acoustics inside. Very loud
Great experience! Will be back SOON
great service. good food. loved eating outside. it was a beautiful night
Awesome food and service
Very loud and lots of energy but that’s what we wanted. The food was delicious but my favorite part was the “bastille” cocktail. I’ve been trying to recreate at home ever since!
Incredible food, loved the fromage, steak, and fries! Fantastic service too, very friendly and helpful in choosing amazing options. I can’t wait to go back
Very busy night and short staffed but the service was very good as usual. The food was excellent. The goat cheese tart and champignons were outstanding. The hamburger and pomme frittes were saltier than expected. The muscles and chicken dish were very good.
Everything was first rate. Service was professional and just right. We ordered what the waiter recommended amd it was delicious. The entire evening was a real delight.
I was so grateful that they had multiple quality mocktail options, including NA beer and wine. It’s so nice to be able to enjoy a nice beverage with my meal.
It was delicious if a tad dark under the tent.
Great food and Chris our waiter was lovely. Really enjoyed the outdoor area.
Escargot was flavorful. Bread was hot. Ambience, food, service it was amazing and for a moment it felt like a pre-covid world.
Beautiful fall day on the patio
Brunch on a Sunday. Great service, great food. Definitely an "adult" menu, not a lot of obviously kid-friendly options except the french toast. But if you like French style breakfast with eggs done perfectly, this is wonderful. It feels like stepping out of St. Louis for just a moment and being on vacation. There is outdoor seating, but we chose inside because it was slightly quieter and less distracting.
Consistently a wonderful dining experience! Brasserie has it all! Delicious food, perfect drinks, excellent service and an inviting and energetic atmosphere, both inside and out! One of our faves!
Amazing food, atmosphere and service. Highly recommend for any occasion
Cheese plate and entree was fantastic. Dessert was overpriced and left much to be desired. Avoid dessert, but everything else was great
Jeffifer runs a great shop. Always so pleasant and efficient.
I have been here a few times before, and each time is exceptional! The best experience for an anniversary celebration! As a French person, I’m so grateful they manage to bring a taste of home to STL.
Outdoor atmosphere was amazing servers were friendly and went above and beyond to make it an enjoyable experience. Food was a home run &Cocktails were delicious!
As always the food, cocktails, and wine were outstanding. It was all pulled together perfectly by our server Annie. Even our interactions with Jessica the valet attendant were lovely. Thanks to all for making this a great evening out for my wife and me.
Fantastic restaurant with fantastic quality food. One of the best meals I've had in a very long time!
We had the cheese puffs, poulet au citron, and roast chicken. Everything was delicious. The outside patio is perfect for dining al fresco in the beautiful fall weather. The staff were very helpful and friendly. 10 out of 10
