The cuisine was sub par. I ordered chicken, which was a tiny piece of Cornish hen. It wasn’t fresh- & overdone to the point of hard like a rock. I couldn’t even pierce it with a knife! The string beans were so salty, they were barely edible. The manager was clearly not trained in managing a restaurant and dealing with patrons. He never even offered to substitute this awful entree for something else. Needless to say, the restaurant is a 1 and done, Will never return.

Burgers were mediocre;under seasoned; not high grade meat. Green salad was limp and tasteless. Overall edible but poor. Disappointed since it was highly recommended.

Had to politely ask patrons at the bar to respect the noise they were producing which affected the restaurant. They complied. Management was grateful.

This is our new neighborhood restaurant! The ambiance was lovely with well spaced tables so you can talk. We enjoyed the yellowfin tuna tartare, fried calamari and salmon burger - all yummy. The service was fast but not rushed - excellent first time experience

I’ve been going here a long time- since back when it was located on Broadway. The food is good in general and I like the vibe. But the food ( roast chicken) was dry, and the vegetables were undercooked. I needed a better knife to cut the carrots. Maybe an off night? Nonetheless, my friend had the Salmon and loved it. The waiter was attentive.

My friend and I were looking for a tranquil place to enjoy a leisurely Sunday brunch near Carnegie Hall. Brasserie Cognac is that place. The decor definitely gives a French vibe and the breakfast choices were varied. We opted for the prix fixe which, for slightly more than the cost of an entree, includes your choice of a croissant or fruit cup and tea or coffee. Service was attentive but we did not feel rushed. I will definitely be back.
