   Rotisserie chicken was very dry and green beans substituted for mashed potatoes was not sautéed in olive oil as requested. It tasted of pork fat instead. When sent back to the kitchen, the manager came and accused me of eating half my plate before I sent it back. I had eaten 3 tiny bites of the tiny chicken wing and 3 strings of green beans! They did remove the charge and I ate steamed green beans for my dinner, but the experience was horrible. I will not be returning. My companion enjoyed her croque monsieur with a side of salad.

   Our first time at this location and it was a pleasant experience although I must say that we had to change tables due to the low seating at high tables. Fortunately there was a table with regular free-standing chairs that we could have which made all the difference. What a pity that there is such a lovely layout but uncomfortable seats which will affect our return.

   So glad they reopened on the west side. I have yet to have anything here that I don’t like and wouldn’t order again.

   Always a wonderful meal at Brassierie Cognac. Delicious food and warm and wonderful service from the time you are met at the door and at each interaction through the meal. Our neighborhood favorite.

    Brasserie Cognac in a contemporary interpretation of the French restaurants that were so popular in NYC in the 1970s and 1980s. The decor is fresh, the ambiance friendly.
