Server was slow and paid little attention.
This is good reboot for the former Gaslight - very similar but refreshed. Wait staff seems to be still working out a few kinks - they were not very busy but thing seemed slow and our server got a bit defensive when a member of our party flagged that her wine was off. Food was excellent.

Very quick service, easy to get to, parking wants hard to find. Escargot, chicken liver mousse and desserts were amazing. Some of the raw fish was underseasoned and one note. Not bad overall

I rarely feel the need to leave a not-five-star review but I rarely have a poor dining experience in the South End. As former fans of Gaslight, we were excited to try the refreshed “Brasserie” but were left overwhelmingly disappointed. Not only was our table not ready for ten minutes after our reservation, but the food was below the previous Gaslight standards in terms of both taste and presentation, not to mention the service was borderline chaotic. My espresso martini was way too sugary and bitter, but my server didn’t even come back for 20 minutes so I could ask for something different and by that time I already wanted to leave. They also sent out our bread, appetizer and entrees all at the same time, bringing the chaos right to our table all at once. The only good thing was the comped second bottle of Perrier the waitress brought us after asking for the check and she noticed all of our glasses were bone dry. I understand many restaurants are trying to regain their footing post-pandemic, but I recommend giving Brasserie a hard pass until they work out their kinks. I’m sure it will get to where it needs to be, but it’s not ready for prime time just yet.

The ambiance on the patio was wonderful, but the food was just fine -- small portions and a big price tag. We were also quite underwhelmed by the desserts.

Service was a bit uneven. My wife felt that her bass was over cooked. Otherwise, my son and I loved our dinners (steak and duck a l’orange).

Feels like Gaslight never left - Brasserie is outstanding!
The gazpacho and salmon entree were delicious! The chèvre cheesecake was mediocre. Staff was wonderful.

We have been doing our best to limit the number of guests we are serving and continue to reduce the number of seats overall by 28 each evening as we continue to hire and train staff in this very difficult labor market. Entrees were horrible. Bland, no taste. Duck was tough, Lamb shank has no taste. Burger was so so. Not worth the price.

Incredible service. We were attended to by a server for our wine and our food. The wine was exquisite, and I could tell the staff really cared about us having a good experience. We ordered the endive & beet salad, the escargot, the salmon, and the lamb. My partner said the lamb was one of the best he has ever had. It was my partners birthday and the staff provided a sorbet with a candle at the end. Really a lovely dinner.
Great waitstaff, food.....everything. Will return again and again.

As soon as we entered Brasserie we knew it was going to be a phenomenal evening. Big, happy smiles, were an inviting welcome from the Host team, amazing and thoughtful service from Cynthia guided us through a great menu! Chef Nick displays creativity and executes at an extremely high level, do not skip on the escargot or chicken liver pate! The owner, Jeff, was ever present and constantly working to benefit his team. The food was less than superb and well, below expectations. The service was very pleasant, however. The escaping gym-rats added nothing to the outdoor ambiance. The bouillabase was 'ok', lamb shank excellent, duck not up to snuff but moulles frites we quit good. the choc. tart(?) for dessert was over-cooked. Unlikely to come back. The saving grace was the parking.

Our party of 6 enjoyed everything we ate at Brasserie. From the unique appetizers to the decadent desserts, we enjoyed every bite! The escargot rivaled anything we ate in Paris. The service was great. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. This is our go to restaurant the next time we visit Boston!

We went to Brasserie to celebrate Bastille Day. The food was fantastic as was the service. I'm so glad to see the old Gaslight brought back to life. The fact that they have free parking next door means we'll be back a lot more often!

Brasserie is a fantastic restaurant. Their food never disappointing. The service was terrible. I had to chase down my waitress three times. Once to order, once to take my card for the bill, and once the refresh our drinks. I'll be back once i am sure she has been let go. It isn't worth the risk of getting her as a server again.

This was my first time here and I was very impressed.
I have my allergies listed in the notes section of open table so each time I make a reservation they are alerted. These guys saw the note and told the kitchen as a result they were prepared when I arrived.

The food was so yummy and the atmosphere is just amazing
Josh was our server and was amazing. We chose Brasserie for our first restaurant date post-pandemic. My girlfriend and I were both big fans of Gaslight and Brasserie continues the tradition of great food and wonderful ambiance in that location. The owner stopped by our table to thank us for coming, and we were given a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate the occasion.
The bartenders were so plesant, efficient and fun!
