Brasserie Blanc - Southbank

Big restaurant and ideal for what we wanted it for (quick pre-theatre dinner). It was a bit noisy though so would have been hard to have a really good chat.
Food was great and would go again when round there.
Great enthusiastic service. Over ambitious pricing for basic brasserie food
Lunchtime fixed price menu was excellent value for food as good as this. Really enjoyed our meal and the staff were friendly and attentive without being too intrusive
Food was ok but not as good as expected. Main course of Beef B had succulent meat but was spoilt by too much sauce.
Excellent value pre theatre menu, and very good service. A good place to eat before a concert at the RFH
Great choice for pre-theatre at the South Bank. Excellent service and a set-menu bursting with flavours and good value for money.
We were given a table in a quiet area which was really helpful as I have hearing loss. The waitress was excellent, giving us helpful tips. The food was very good and the whole lunch very enjoyable overall. We shall go to the restaurant again when we are in the area and are happy to recommend it to others.
Great food. Served quickly which is important for a pre theatre dinner venue. But we also did not feel rushed. Good atmosphere. Will go again.
While the first course dishes (veg fritter and crab salad) and the trout with prawns were tasty, the pasta dish (vegetarian option, pesto and vegetables) was almost flavorless, with just some penne and a little sauce without significant vegetable. This seems out of line for Brasserie Blanc. It's a pleasant restaurant and a good option before the theatre.
First time there and definitely not my last. The staff were just lovely and the food was yummy!!
Everything was excellent. The ambience, service, food and didn’t cost a fortune. Good recommendation on wine. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.
A very good restaurant slightly hidden away despite being on the South Bank. We had an excellent meal from the Pre Theatre menu. Good quality, quantity and variety. Surprisingly busy for 6pm on a Monday evening.
It was a pity there was a communications failure between Open Table and the restaurant which did not know of our booking. Luckily they had space.
A warm welcome from the rain outside. We had a very enjoyable meal for 3. Service was friendly and efficient. My duck confit was very good and the pistacchio souffle was a delight.
Great service from Daniel and excellent food. We'll be back!
Very nice food - good value.
We went for a meal before the theatre- service was good which was important.
Would recommend if you are looking for a mid price meal at the South Bank
Very poor service as not enough staff. Cauliflower steak very hard and inedible. Ordered coffees but had to cancel as not delivered on time. 2 courses served in 1 hour 45 minutes and loads of diners on nearby tables having the same problems. I would not dine here again.
Absolutely delicious food, great service and lovely ambiance. The menu has a lot of options, we started with a baked cheese and mushroom fricassee, both very well presented, fragrant and delicious. For mains, the pork belly got 10 out of 10 and the cauliflower steak was perfect for a vegetarian. We were too full to try dessert, would have liked to! Also a luxury to be in restaurant where the noise levels were such that one could have a conversation! Will definitely be back.
This is one of the restaurants I choose when I’m in this area and want a lovely restaurant at a great price.
The menu has a great choice and they even have a pre theatre menu which is great value.
The staff are always professional and friendly.
Would highly recommend it
Very enjoyable. Good range of vegetarian dishes. Waiting team helpful and plenty of them. And noise levels were good despite the Christmas rush.
Great for a pre-theatre - we walked across the bridge to the other side of the river. Friendly and efficient service, nice food.
Great location, reasonable price, lovely food. Will definitely go back.
Excellent food and service. Staff were top notch.
I had high expectations for this place considering the heritage of this restaurant designed by a Michelin star chef.
Unfortunately, my wife's pheasant dish was luke warm and the steak in my "grand steak frites" was grizzly and not cooked to medium rare - it was more "well done".
Excelent french cusine with very nice presentation! Its a bit expensive but its worth it for the service and everything!
Wife & self dined at 6pm. Despite the restaurant being busy we were served quickly and efficiently. Waiter (Joshua said the bill) was on the ball for the whole of the visit - unusual we find these days. Food superb - and we are very choosy! Excellent value too. Can't recommend highly enough.
Lovely place and food service very good and discreet
great cheese soufflé' and fantastic service. The vegetarian options were a little limited and bit bland
Super impressed with venue. 2nd visit - due to see an afternoon film at the BFI nearby so were on tight timescale. 3 courses from set menu delivered within time and to high standard. Very good value. We cannot recommend this restaurant too highly..!
Menu choice was good. Go for the a la carte as there's a better selection. The cheese souffle was a great start and the duck was a treat. My guest greatly enjoyed the veggie option and we'd happily return there or another BB. Wasn't a fan of the deconstructed apple & pear crumble. Taste was fine but the enjoyment of eating it wasn't. Service was attentive and smooth. Didn't have to wait ages to get someone's attention but then the place wasn't full either, so a little difficult to judge.
Excellent value for money & the food was really good. Menu choices varied. We really enjoyed our evening
Food and service very good.
It was an excellent choice for a pre-theatre dinner, only a short walk from the National Theatre. All the food was very good. My cheese souffle and Mediterranean Fish Soup with all the trimmings were delicious.
1st visit for Sunday lunch today. Service was efficient and friendly. Food quality was superb - not cheap but very good value. However we must observe that the Sunday menu given to us at the table was priced substantially more than the one shown on the web-site and this rather soured the experience of a first time visit...
A good find for preconcert meal. Good well priced fixed menu if there before 18-00. Wine nice and not ridiculously expensive.
The entrance bar was a bit noisy but the restaurant quieter so I could hear conversation. Staff were friendly and attentive . There is a fairly casual ambience which led me, mistakenly, not to expect too much of the food. I was wrong! The cheese soufflé was delicious and the hake cooked to perfection - moist and succulent. Top notch dining. The women's loo was a bit messy ( some paper towels on floor)and could perhaps do with staff check ups - but it was a busy Friday. Would definitely recommend Brasserie.
A pleasant environment and good service. The prix fixe menu had plenty of choice at reasonable prices for London - I would come here again
Perfect for pre National Theatre dinner. Service was great and food just right and good value for fixed price option.
Just okay really. Nothing special. Nothing awful.
Nice Friday evening with friends - the chat and the rose were more important than the food? ! Steak frites a little fatty for my liking.
We were a party of 9 and time was tight due to trains but the staff were very flexible and helpful and we all got served promptly with no apparent trade off in food quality. The steaks were praised and the bouillabaisse was especially delicious. Decent wines at reasonable mark up
