The food at Brasserie Blanc is actually excellent, but if you are looking for a french restaurant experience, since Raymond Blanc sold the chain this is no longer it. Heartwood Inns that now own the chain have the best suppliers for steak that you will find anywhere and so the chateaubriand is outstanding. But if you know any of the pubs in the chain you will find the menu is almost identical. They have added escargots to give a sense of frenchness and I enjoyed these. Don't get me wrong, the food is really good, just a little mass produced.

Raymond Blanc is still closely involved in menu development, ensuring we stay true to our roots. Interestingly, the core menus across the estate actually originated from the Brasserie side of the business, with the pub menus later adapted to bring in some of that classic British flair. Unfortunately one order wrongly taken. We got a cheese soufflé (delicious) when we had ordered escargot We then had 1 x fish served v overcooked & dry. Asked for a replacement which was then fine on the outside but raw in the middle. However, the staff could not have been more friendly & helpful & all the other food was delicious

Pheasant slightly overcooked and the dishes needed more balance ie seasoning was not consistent across the meals, (some over salted), staff were friendly and I would visit again.

Service and atmosphere was great. Menu sounded lovely but the food was pretty bland which was slightly disappointing

Food excellent as always , slightly disappointed by the service though compared to previous visits , slow, didn't seem interested in us as customers which again was disappointing as service has been excellent on our previous visits

Quality and consistency are the trademark of Brasserie Blanc which is approaching two decades on the same site in Milton Keynes. I’ve dined here countless times in that period and never once been disappointed, this recent visit being no exception. However, on this occasion we had a more traditional English style Sunday roast and it was excellent. The beef was literally melt in the mouth, the roast potatoes suitably crisp and the Yorkshire pudding still moist. A great portion of veg included we left completely satisfied and full. For casual and semi formal dining I can think of no better restaurant in this price range and none that can match the consistency over so many years. Highly recommended.
