The food was delicious, and brought me and significant other back home in France while living in North America. The service was great but not overbearing. And the bill wasn’t bad at all, especially for traditional Belgian/French food! Really recommend this place!

Excellent Belgian food and an extensive beer menu. There was even a “beer specialist” who came to the table to explain the different beer choices and to match them to our specific palettes. Excellent dining experience and I will be back!

We ordered our food at 6:20pm and our entrees didn’t show up until 8:30pm. Incredible lag in time between our mussel appetizer and dinner. It was ridiculous and we received no explanation or apologies or any sort of on the house thank you for being patient. I would not recommend for dinner nor will I be returning. Lack of customer care was appalling.

A very pleasant restaurant. Excellent service (our server should us around to all areas at the end of our meal, since it was our first time there.) Outstanding mussels, main meal was good, but not outstanding (Steak and Frites). Limited wine list for lunch, but very good choices - the Sancerre is to be recommended. My husband liked the beer that is specially brewed for the restaurant (Antigoon). Stylish ambience.

The resturant is kids friendly... in the aspspect that they can make anything for your kids but do not have a kids menu...
They have a nice french onion soup and bread that they place on the table. Food looks good but soesnt taste the same as it looks.

We use Open Table a lot and eat out at home and while traveling, but haven't written a review in a while. BUT this place deserves a review because Brasserie Beck was fabulous, food and service outstanding. Wonderful endive salad, duck confit, skate wing, eclair for dessert, and of course, the frites. Highly recommend.

A birthday lunch for our son who loves Belgian-style beer. Incredibly long list, nicely separated by type, also with good selection on draft. Delectable mussels, clams, octopus! Superlative beer choices! And a wonderful gruyere mushroom omelette. Just go and relax for a couple hours, and leave room for a nap afterward.

Waitstaff and ambiance of the restaurant was great. I went for restaurant week, the special menu wasn’t that attractive but the dessert was excellent. I think there’s better options for restaurant week out there. However, not a bad place to go for a special occasion.

They were listed as a participant for restaurant week and so my friend and I went for lunch on Saturday. When we got there they told us that they were not serving that menu which is annoying since most restaurants will be up front about it on their menus if it is not available on the weekends. We ate there anyways since we were already, but my experience is marred by that. Not sure if I will return.

Went in for a restaurant week but they did not have the lunch menu they were advertising in there website. Food was good. Had mussels and omlet but surprised and disappointed at the unexpected notice. Should not put up a lunch menu if the restaurant is not serving it.

I've been here so many times over the years and I can honestly say that they consistently have amazing food. I've never had anything bad here and I'm pretty sure I've had almost everything on their menu. The salads are wonderful if you want something lighter, the mussels are amazing, the entrees are always great and their daily different specials are always a treat! The portions are a little big but not to worry it makes it great to share! I love it here. Plus they have a great wine selection. Some of my favorites are the Thai curry mussels, the Nicoise salad is amazing, the french onion soup is delicious, the tartar is also one of my favorite, a croque madam if you're looking for a sandwich, the coq au vin and beef bourguignon are both perfectly scrumptious.

Brasserie Beck was my favorite restaurant few years ago when I used to work in the area. It did not disappoint this time either, although... the frites were too salty and the wild mushroom mussels were also salty spoiling the pleasure or the dish.

A must for us when visiting DC. The muscles are the best! and all else we have had has been delicious--including the bread. Excellent beer and wine choices. Service is professional but relaxed and friendly. Love the ambiance and décor. Always leave happy!

Very enjoyable meal. Service was attentive and pleasant. Of course, that said, we did show up on a Monday Holiday evening (MLK) on one of the coldest days of the season. Staff was obviously pleased to see us. Seeing how much (empty) seating they had, including a large outdoor space (unused) I can imagine that might be different on some other day in some other season. But we had a very nice experience for our efforts to come out in the cold.

My girlfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary. I on a whim noted this on the OpenTable reservation. There was champagne waiting at our table and they brought us a special desert with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate. Adam, the GM, was incredibly personable and has earned a repeat customer. Their beer list is remarkable as well!

Food was excellent especially on a cold December night. The service was annoying. I don't think the staff had enough to do. The were clearing plates before everyone at the table was finished. Put down a fork or glass, they were there grabbing plates up. Too much hovering . Let us eat in peace! Be attentive but not intrusive.

We mentioned in the Open Table reservation that we were 2 couples each celebrating our 48th anniversary. We also mentioned it to the hostess upon entering the restaurantas well as our waiter when he took the order. All seemed indifferent. No one ever acknowledged that fact. We turned down dessert only to find after speaking with the maitre d' that they had planned to give us complimentary desserts. Neither he, nor the hostess, nor the waiter ever told us that!
The food was also not up to usual standards. The sauce for the mussels as well as the fries were way too salty...

We had the raw oysters and they were delicious. I also had the mussels with the spicy Thai curry sauce, which was too salty and didn't taste like it had much coconut milk. The frites were perfect - crispy and nicely seasoned. I just think the food is not worth the price.

Always amazing! It is our family favorite. Incredible mussels, terrific beers, and great service. We are huge fans of all of Robert Weidmayer's restaurants but this one is affordable enough for hosting our large family yet it's more than fit for our well-traveled foodie pickiness. We recommend it constantly to locals and out-of-towners.

We’ve been here many times before, this time was the first disappointment. My husband’s Bouillabaisse was late and apparently not very good. My scallops were very salty. Perhaps the regular crew was off for the holiday weekend? Usually much better. I still recommend it highly.
