Great service, good food! Would go again
Great food and excellent service! Good for any occasion.
Food was excellent but I especially enjoyed the beer selections. Dean was very helpful in making selections among the extensive list
I was there for the oysterfest. Would have liked more variety. Everything else was great. It was lovely in general.
Been there many times. Somehow they loose track of deserts and coffee
A family member visiting Washington DC and I ate there last Friday evening. The food, wine, and service were truly outstanding. We ended up ordering a good number of appetizers, and the waiter did an excellent job of sequencing and timing on all the dishes. We were hoping that bone marrow was on the menu, as it had been in the past, but it was not. Our waiter let us know that, for next time, if we call a few days ahead and request something special like that, then they will do their very best to get it on the menu. Now that's awesome service!
Great Belgian beers, goid good, very good service. We would return
Beer sommelier was excellent - offered creative and tasty selections.
The food was phenomenal. The oysters were excellent and the beef cheek was mouth watering. It was so delicious! Definitely a great place for a good bottle of French wine, as well as an excellent French meal. Definitely going back again!
BB is a longtime star in the crown of Robert Weidmeir restaurant empire. It is a great place for beer, mussels, private beer/wine events and fresh seafood. Our waiter Aziz is an icon there and makes us feel right at home. BB brunch also always outstanding. We had mussels and I love the spicy Thai version
Fantastic. Great beer selection but was a bit disappointed that so many were not available.
Great food and service. Low noise level allows for easy conversation,
Like the environment and service, and the dessert! A good place for brunch though.
Excellent food and service.
Enjoyable evening with friends! Ralph provided great service!
Best value in DC. Never disappoints. Everything is well done and service is impeccable.
Great meal as always
Brasserie beck is consistently very good. I will continue to dine there several times a year and will never hesitate to take a friend or client to dinner there. Highly recommend the mussels and frites, even as an appetizer for the table.
Haven't gone here for a while and feel like the food was sub-par from what I remembered. But would still recommend as it may have been a bad night.
Didn’t expect brunch menu...good nevertheless. Look forward to trying full menu
It’s always a pleasure to visit Brasserie Beck. A favorite stop when in D.C. Everyone knows about the amazing Belgian beer selection, but the modern takes on classic German, French, and Belgian dishes are the highlights for me.
My boyfriend and I found this almost by accident, and we LOVED it so much that we ate here the next morning. We were in DC for an event and after eating dinner here decided to cancel our reservations for Sunday brunch to eat here again. And we've made a pact to come here every time we are in DC, which is weird b/c we rarely eat at the same restaurant twice.
The food is fantastic, the wait staff, managers (one of whom is also the sommelier) and the bar tenders are as nice a pie and super knowledgeable about everything, including the reason for the huge clocks that don't work. The ambiance is spot on perfect, seating is comfortable and every table has a great view, the food is fresh (bread is warm and butter is soft), and even the music is amazing.
One of the best restaurants we've ever been to, and we've traveled the world.
always consistently good. Service is prompt and very flexible.
The mussels were fantastic. We definitely recommend Brasserie Beck for a date, work lunch, etc. A great restaurant to have in this neighborhood
mandatory stop. Service is highly attentive w/o being a nuisance. The meals are why you come.
We had an incredible meal. Started out with oysters which were phenomenal. Our waiter did a great job of explaining the menu to us. Everyone had nothing but great reviews of their entree. I had the beef bourginon which was incredibly tender & tasteful. My only regret is that I didn’t leave room for dessert!
Dinner was delicious. One of us ordered the Coq au Vin which was tender and done to perfection, another ordered the classified mussels and frites and there was nothing of either left, and the last one ordered the scallops which were tender and seasoned beautifully. We also ordered the endive salad and the eclair for dessert neither disappointed! The service was attentive but discreet, the food presentation was lovely, and the staff was friendly. We all had a most delicious and enjoyable evening.
Very enjoyable time in Brasserie Back. Good food; good and quiet atmosphere. I recommend it.
And I authentic brasserie feeling with a charming maître d' and an interesting menu including many many Belgian beers. Oysters were spot on. Racellette and bread appetizer was old world wonderful. Onion shallot soup had a rich pleasant base with a generous amount of dissolving onions. My mushroom and cheese omelette was perfect light and creamy filled with exotic mushrooms and Gruyere cheese with not a bit of color to the egg. A Michelin chef would be proud to serve such an omelette. Brasserie Beck definitely deserves a repeat visit.
I loved steak tartar and how quiet it was there. Service was top notch.
Fantastic food, fantastic service
Great dining. Only annoying thing was these 2 other guys (managers?) not letting our waiter completely do his job. They were micro managing and interfering with him and our dining experience. I want to enjoy my meal, drinks, & my date. Not have 3 people keep coming to my table to tell how great the experience is.
We had a fabulous meal at Brasserie Beck. I suspect it is not as busy as it was years ago because of its quiet location at 11th and K. (Really, not everything good is on 14th Street or in Penn Quarter.) The food was spectacular, the waiter was wonderful and the menu is expansive and delicious. I had the octopus appetizer which was great and the short ribs which were tender and flavorful. The bread is also delicious. Go!
I took my septuagenarian mother here for lunch on a Friday and we had a quiet, peaceful and delicious meal together. A great memory for us. Thank you to the kind and attentive staff, and to the kitchen for a wonderful boudin blanc, salmon burger (which I don't ordinarily order, but was outstanding) and rich earthy mushroom gnocchi.
We had a lovely dinner with absolutely wonderful service. The Coq au Vin was excellent. The bread and butter are memorable.
Jon was amazing and the croquet madame was the best I’ve ever had!
Amazing as always! Expensive but worth it. The cocktails were delicious, the Beef Bourguignon was spectacular, and the eclair for dessert was incredibly delicious. Can't wait to go back again!
We enjoyed a terrific meal and great service. Thank you for a great evening!
The food was delicious, and brought me and significant other back home in France while living in North America. The service was great but not overbearing. And the bill wasn’t bad at all, especially for traditional Belgian/French food! Really recommend this place!
