Food is always fantastic and the beer is even better. Best place for Belgian Beer downtown.
Great service, great food, great experience:)
It’s my go-to eatery when I visit DC. I’ve never had less than a terrific meal and tonight was no exception. Service is great, wine service is very good, food quality is exceptional. The mussels are huge this time of year. I had the Mussels Bolognese.
The appetizer was yummy, the bread was yummy, however what I ordered was gross. I prefer my shell fish hot not chilled. I thought I would try it. I would go back and try another dish.
Good was really good!!! I am definitely going back to try it again. Lots of people having fun around me. Food took a while to come out....not sure why. I would have liked better service for the price I paid. And there were a lot of dish runners everywhere and kept hitting my chair. Food was awesome tho!
Good beer selection. Servers seemed overwhelmed.
The food was as fantastic as always, but our service on the outdoor patio left a lot to be desired. It took at least five minutes to be acknowledged after we were seated, and we ordered a bottle of wine right away but it took another ten minutes to get our wine. We were told they didn’t have our bottle and brought another choice, and then it disappeared again for a few minutes until it returned with an ice bucket. All throughout our meal our wine was kept at a table ten feet away so we had to wait for it to be refilled. I have worked in restaurants and understand if many people arrive to dine at once, if the kitchen is, “slammed,” or if the wine we choose is out of stock. But, I expect communication which would have made our meal much better. I think we will avoid Brasserie Beck on the weekends going forward.
Amazing ambience and High quality dishes. Served , presented perfectly and Outstanding service.
I'm a long-time patron of Brasserie Beck and absolutely love their approach. The food is fantastic and the wait staff are always extremely attentive. Over my last two visits, however, I haven't been pleased with the level of customer service provided by the hostesses. They barely acknowledged my party, made no eye contact and led us wordlessly to our table. It doesn't make for a nice to start to a meal.
First time here since we recently moved from NY. Had to find a restaurant near the grand Hyatt where we were meeting relatives. Picked Brasserie Beck from the reviews and it was beyond our expectations. We all agreed the food was excellent and so was the service. Would definitely return!
Business lunch schedule on a Sunny Friday. Nothing better than Mussels and Bavik on tap. Sat outside, can be noisy from traffic, but not unbearable. Our server was prompt even though my entire foursome was not. He recommended beers for my guests and made good selections. Mussels arrived (large portion) and looked huge but they are mussels and not overly filling. Crusty bread for dunking and a great start to the weekend. recommend highly
Love this place. One of the go to date night places and they have seating outside too. Great food. An awesome wine list. And service is normally perfect.
Great outdoor seating with excellent draft beer selection. Belgian cuisine is solid.
Service was so bad. 45 minutes from starter to first course. took 20 minutes to get our drinks. They said it was because of large parties. I had an out of town guest. Our tab was $187. I will not go back.
Always a favorite. LOVE the moules!
Food is always wonderful, a not miss while in DC. A bit pricy but excellent.
Absolutely top notch! Party of 6 and every dish was excellent! I can't wait to return!!
Everything was amazing. Food, beer and wine selection, dessert and even the service were top notch. This was our second time at Brasserie and we've had a fantastic dining experience on both occasions.
Mother’s Day brunch
Went here for Mother’s Day and had a lovely lunch. We had requested a quiet table (as quiet as possible on Mother’s Day) due to hearing issues of some of the people attending. We also had a 9 month old. We were seated in a semi private room that was perfect. Food was delicious, many had varieties of Mussels, I did steak and eggs. Everything was cooked beautifully. We had a great time.
I came to the restaurant with an average expectation, but I thought the place was very good. The customer service was fantastic. Every employee greeted us with a pleasant smile and made sure the food and service were okay. We had the octopus and bone marrow apps. The octopus was decent and had good flavor. The bone marrow wasn't bad either, but I've had better and I didn't think the bread crumbs on top was necessary. The garlic bread accompanied the dish was way too buttery, so we ate the bone marrow with the normal bread, which was delicious. For our entree, we had the mussels champion with bacon, truffle, and mushroom. The entree size is HUGE. I thought there was a bit too much bacon, but overall the dish was fantastic and tasty. They also had a large Belgium beer selection, so if you're into Belgium beers, you're in for a treat.
Food was very good. But pretty expensive. We do like the ambiance and the food, so we will go back.
Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave excellent guidance with the menu and the beer and wine selections. All three meals were prepared to perfection.
Wonderful service from the staff! The meal was excellent!
There was more bread than onion in the soup though it was otherwise tasty. The Poulet au Champignon had no detectable mushrooms but the red cabbage it was served with was very flavorful.
Sat outdoors. Service indifferent. Food barely above mediocre. Hadn’t been to restaurant in a couple of years. Boy, has it slipped.
Excellent food and service. We had muscles in wine sauce as well as rare tuna salad. Both dishes along with the complimentary bread were outstanding!
Fun brunch with girlfriends but there were some mix ups with the food. Overall I always enjoy this restaurant.
We were there for a birthday and the service, the food was excellent. The manager stopped by our table to wish us a happy birthday and took well care of us. Will be back really soon!
The food is very good and the outdoor seating great. But we got totally lost by our server and our food didn't come out for an hour.
We got cocktails which were spectacular and also the seafood tower which was extremely fresh! Very much recommend. Will be back
Went for Easter Brunch and sat inside. Lighting and decor was modern yet clean and classic.
I ordered Eggs Benedict with a side of sausage. The eggs Benedict were good but the sausage was sweet. I wish I was told the sausage was sweet because I was hoping they would be salty, or regular tasting.
My husband ordered 3 eggs with a side of sausage and he liked it.
Service was impeccable. Food was excellent, presentation first class. Vibrant city setting.
The food was fanatastic. The service at the beginning of our meal was very good, but it took a long time to get someone to come back and fill our empty water glasses.
Delicious! We really enjoyed our meal here. I am not normally a lover of foie gras, but their appetizer foie gras brûlée was divine! Just try it! My son loved the steak frites, and their fries are amazing. I had the module which did not disappoint, and my husband had the chicken dish which was lovely. We wish we could have tried the wiener schnitzel as it looked very tasty!
This was our third visit to Brasserie Beck. Their way with seafood keeps us coming back - especially the mussels, prepared in a variety of ways and all of them delicious. The wine list is extensive and drinks are expertly prepared. Convenient to the Metro, White House and other DC attractions. Dinner for 3 with a bottle of wine set us back about $235 less tip but well worth it.
The mussels were delicious and unforgettable. Would definitely come back
Service extremely slow
