Chef/Owner Robert Wiedmaier of the RW Restaurant Group opens a casual, contemporary brasserie (serving all day) named after his younger son. The stunning space features an open steel and glass kitchen visible from three sides, set across from a unique family-style chef's table, dramatic 22-foot ceilings and a raw bar located at the end of a grand marble and walnut bar featuring an array of Belgian beers on tap to complement his French Belgian fare, including Chef Wiedmaier's exclusive Belgian beer, Antigoon. Thre is an expansive outdoor patio that is open April thru October.

Always an outstanding experience - the food is amazing and the service attentive. The food never ceases to amaze and during Restaurant Werk it’s even better.

The food and service is all excellent. The price point is a bit high for what it is. They are consistently doing great food and service.

SUCH great authentic Belgian food, with a lovely layout and the cutest chairs and tables. The waiter took great care of us, helped me with my very snooty cocktail request without blinking an eye, offered great beer pairing recommendations, and didn't hassle us for our slow meal timing. This place always delivers. It may not be as "hot" as other places, but it's great for impressing guests and always delivers a great experience.

We had the pleasure of sitting at the chef’s table and loved watching the kitchen at work. We had a lovely meal with excellent service, as always. A favorite to bring our out-of-town family to.

Go for the food, stay because of the outstanding service. The staff here was absolutely wonderful and treated us to a great evening. Everyone who assisted us was friendly and the dishes and drinks were perfectly timed. Of particular note, Dean, the Cicerone, provided excellent beer recommendations to accentuate the meal. It is easy to take a chance on something new when you can have a professional make suggestions, and given the extensive beer menu, it is definitely worth trying something new.

The service was excellent on the part of the waiter, beer sommelier, and support staff. I had cheese and loved it. My husband loved his beer; the sommelier guided both of his choices. My husband also loved his scallops. We both enjoyed our desserts.

I was visiting from New York and came for a pot of traditional mussels and fries. Brasserie Beck did a wonderful job. Mussels were nicely served in a cast iron pan with fries that had three types of dipping sauce. Love this! Service and drinks were great- very attentive waiter. Highly recommended.

Great experience. The food was amazing, especially the mussels. Waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The owner was working the room and making sure everyone felt welcome. Service was perfectly-timed and the gateau was the best dessert I have ever had.

While we love this restaurant and we visit often, I was disappointed by this experience. It took some time to receive our food and when it did arrive, our guest complained about the bread on his hamburger. It apparently was stale and "terrible." We still will continue to visit, however, not as often.

It was a very quiet day in the city so the restaurant was missing a little bit of livelihood but good service and good food!

Excellent, excellent meal! The entree portion of mussels was about 30 mussels, everyone delightful! Hubby had the suckling pig special, and it was amazing. The charcuterie was excellent as well. A wonderful meal, steps from our hotel!

We had a very nice experience at Brasserie Beck, helped by the fact it was a holiday week and there weren’t many diners. Ordinarily, the restaurant is much noisier, which detracts from the excellent food. Go early and tuck into excellent steak tartare, moules/frites, coq an vin and more.

We had an excellent meal at Brasserie Beck. It's a restaurant that seems set in its ways, but with food that good, it's hardly an issue. The salads were superb and quite large. You could easily share one. My wife and I both had main course moules et frites, hers in white wine sauce, mine with mushrooms and bacon. Delicious, but the entree size was huge. You could do the appetizer size for an entree and have the fries as a side order. Great wine and beer lists. The wine prices were reasonable. Our service team was prompt and professional. We'll almost certainly be back. Recommended.

It was very hot in the restaurant, uncomfortably so. I invited four friends and they didn’t seem to mind too much. The service was OK, not outstanding though I tipped the server 20% because she was nice and I think they were short handed. My weinerschnitzel was overcooked to the point where I had to really work at cutting it to get some bite sized pieces that were dry. We sat on these blue and white plastic weaved chairs. I didn’t notice them until my right trouser was punctured and ripped by a loose weave at the corner of the chair. I’m an RW fan (Mussel Bar, Marcel’s, and Brasserie Beck), but the stars were not aligned this evening.

The food was excellent and appropriately priced and the beer selection is unmatched for Belgian beer lovers. The server seemed distracted and inattentive, but the beer sommelier made up that lack by being one of the most knowledgeable Belgian beer purveyors that I have come across in the U.S.. All in all it was a wonderful, enjoyable evening.

Our appetizer took 43 minutes to come out. Our server rarely checked on us or gave us updates. People around us, who had come in after us, got their food before our appetizer even arrived. Our server was horrible and it made us late to meetings. A workday lunch should not take almost 2 hours.

I found this place via OpenTable and was skeptical because it is listed as a Belgian restaurant - something I am not familiar with - but it had great reviews and so I decided to give it a try. What a great place! It was a beautiful evening in May - we were seated outside - it is Downtown but the area is relatively quiet. The outside area is nice - if the weather is good I recommend it - the interior is nice as well - you can see what is happening in the kitchen - I love that.

We started with Cheese and Charcuterie - way more food than I had imagined it would be and it was delicious. They were offering 1/2 price bottles of French Rose' and it was also really nice. They have oysters here and normally that's what I would start with - will be going back to try those next time.

For the main course I got the scallops with artichokes - the scallops were fresh and perfectly cooked. It was a light meal. My date got the suckling pig which is the special for Thursday's. It was fabulous and was served with asparagus and a really rich macaroni and cheese.

Our server was excellent - just attentive enough - our glasses were never empty and he made some great recommendations - There is much more on this menu I want to try - along with some of the Belgian beer. We'll be back!
