On behalf of our family at the Brass Buckle, I would like to welcome you. The Brass Buckle, once known as the Conyngham Hotel has been located here at this location since circa 1805. To put things in prospective, who was the president of the United States in 1805?

Our unique dining and food, is what makes the Brass Buckle so different. Our food, is not 100% authentic Mexican but is a type of fusion or infused continental with south west and Mexican flavors, try some of our amazing food from Alligator Tacos, Lobster Tacos, Mexicali Steak, Burritos, and so much more

We pride our self in using only the freshest ingredients, as well as still keeping our eye on healthy whole foods. Many of our foods are also gluten free, since we do not use flour but rice flour and corn starch.

The Brass Buckle is located just south of Wilkes-Barre and north of Hazleton. Conveniently located off interstates 80 and 81 and routes 93 and 309.

Our server was excellent, and we would recommend the Brass Buckle to others. Sometimes it is difficult to find a restaurant that checks all the boxes, but the Brass Buckle does a great job in covering it all!!

Food was on the dry side. Absolutely needed more sauce. Refried beans and Mexican rice were also dry and scarce .... maybe 1/4 of a cup at most. Server was great until food arrived and then Absolutely vanished for about 40 minutes. Definitely not going back.

It was a picture perfect day for our country drive to the Brass Buckle, and well worth it! Everything - from the appetizer, meal, and desert - was excellent: fresh ingredients; awesome spice blends; beautiful presentations, all with exceptional service.

If you come here, skip the drinks. They were terrible. Beer on tap was warm and the grande margarita tasted like sprite. It had no alcohol in it and probably came out of a pre made store bought mix. The food was very good and the service is friendly. The chips, which they charge for when many Mexican places give it customers as a house complement, we’re terrible. They were all broken up, over done, and the salsa was awful. All I could taste was salary. I’ll come back for the burrito and will skip the chips and drinks.

As always had a great meal. We had the salsa and homemade gluten free tortilla chips, love them! We both had the Morocan Shrimp gluten free tacos, very very good, but messy lol. Our waitress Alicia was fantastic!!!

We had a great time. Joseph our waiter is the best. We did not have him last time and there was a difference. The food and drinks were perfect and we told Joseph to tell kitchen to slow our food down as last time it all came too quickly, app, salad and entree right after one another.. But it was rectified last time.. I had the Steak Dos enchilada and as usual was delicious, could not finish , was so much. My husband had one of the specials the Ancho Glazes Ribeye, he said it was fantastic and so tender had a great flavor. The other couples we were with also loved their food.

Brass Buckle is the place to go for some variety. I highly recommend the buffalo dip taquitos or the Mexican Nachos hot out the oven… delicious 🤤

The food, drinks and service were outstanding as always. Never disappointed here. Joe was our waiter and he was great, very personable and did not mess up anything, keep going to kitchen to ask about my gluten free questions. The Margarita's were great. They do gluten free here no problems. They are very accommodating , even with seating. My husband had the special the Lobster bites, although they were a little overdone he said they were still very good. I had the Steak and dos enchiladas. The steak was done perfect and so tender, the enchiladas were tender. Our friends had the fajatas and tacos and loved them as well

We always have a great experience at the Brass Buckle, food is very good, price is moderate and within market. The specials are always a great surprise in terms of what they carry because is stuff that you don’t normally think you would get. I had the fish and chips, which is not something they carry in their regular menu and it was very good!!

My wife, daughter, 15 year old grandson and I went there because daughter and grandson wanted Mexican food and they don't have any Mexican restaurants near where they live in MA. There was a wide choice of food options and we all thoroughly enjoyed our choices.

Appetizers were over cooked. After server gave us containers for our left overs we sat for 15 minutes waiting for our bill so we could pay and leave. Finally had to get up from our table and go look for someone to give us our bill. At least 6 servers were in another room just hanging out. Place was not busy they just left us sit there.

We haven’t been back in months, and we may never go back again after last night. Well, I think there is still potential at this restaurant, the service was so slow to the point where it affected the food in our experience. And I don’t think it’s our service problem, she seemed very overwhelmed. honestly, I blame the top economy for the lack of employees. Nonetheless the Tres chipotle enchiladas that I had and my husband’s seafood burrito were clearly sitting under a heat lamp for sometime and came out with the sauce on top dried up and the beans and rice crusty. My enchiladas were otherwise OK but my husband seafood burrito was an edible. I’ll give them credit for some effort, but I don’t know that I’ll be back

We had a great time celebrating our mothers birthday here. The service was great. The food came out quickly despite us being a large table! The food was tasty and came out hot. We had a table upstairs by the window and it was lovely. We enjoyed our time here!

Have been going to this restaurant for decades and it has always been very good. The explanation that it is Tex Mex fusion cuisine is quite accurate. As indicated the service, quality of food, ambience, etc is very good. Pricing had gone up prior to the Great Inflation after the pandemic which is why I gave it a slightly lower score for value but it has not stopped my wife and I from going here for lunch or dinner, and most probably never will. Try it, you'll like it!
