My husband and I have dined here several times. It is always delicious and the service is great!
Great food and awesome service!
Waiter was fantastic and food was amazing. One of my favorite restaurants and best place for steak. Creative menu. Highly recommend.
Excellent white table cloth Argentinian experience. Grilled avocado with crabmeat stuffing as an appetizer was magnificent. Grilled Caesar was similarly terrific.
Main course of skirt steak was flavorful as was chicken preparation. Grilled carrot a specialty, and the papas (cubed and fried) with aioli were terrific.
Service was attentive and warm.
First time visit but will definitely go back. Great cocktails, excellent food! You have to try the grilled cauliflower! Incredible. My husband got short ribs and said they were delicious and very tender and the tuna was perfect for me. Friendly staff. Two top table a bit small and feel a little cramped against wall; also a bit loud-could hear conversations at table across from us but I would still go back for the food!
Alan is great!
I found the food to be average, the tuna used in the Ceviche was not the best cut so very stringy and somewhat chewy. The pan con tomate was just OK and lacked the wow factor in flavor. My main course the Tuna Asado was better but the presentation in my opinion was messy and could use a bit more creativity. I did not care for the corn asado, it lacked complete flavor and was very dry. My companion did not care for the short ribs as they were unusually very dry so he skipped his entree. We did mention it to the manager and she apologized, our server/bartender noticed he did not eat his entree and was kind enough to buy a round of drinks as a token of apology. My experience with restaurants when the food is inadequate is that the item is either replaced or taken off the bill, this did not occur however the service was very nice. I would recommend it to a friend for the atmosphere at the bar and the crafted cocktails, as for the food I would just simply tell them it was not for me but perhaps they should try it and we can compare notes after the fact.
We were served our first courses very fast and then had to wait forty minutes for the entrees. The prices were high, which could be justified if the service and food were excellent, but they were not. Although the filets were wonderful, the ribeyes were tough. The atmosphere was very loud. I am surprised that nothing has been done about the acoustics since the restaurant opened.
Incredibly slow service coupled with being out of common menu items. Kitchen seemed disorganized and slow.
Loved our server. He introduced himself even though he was very busy. But it let us know he saw us and was going to get to us soon. Perfectly cooked medium rare steak. Brussel sprouts were fantastic and the Peruvian dip was to die far. Would definitely go back. Only downside was it’s a small place so the noise got really loud. There was one large party that had their volume at 10 sometimes my husband and I could not hear each other
Made reservations 2 days in advance for a family birthday dinner. We were seated at an extra table in the bar. We were seated 1.5 hours before food arrived. Good but terrible service.
The food tasted so good I want to try more of the menu
The taste impressed me just as I was at Antoines
We went with a group of 7 for "Restaurant Week New Orleans". The food was very good but the services was slow.
The steak was cooked to perfection. The ribs were tender but not as flavorful as we would like it to be. Overall not the best steak in the area buy definitely worth trying
Both the food and the service, outstanding!
Our party of four had an excellent meal. The appetizers and main courses were very good but the best part of the meal was our server Alan. He was very friendly and attentive and offered several great comments and suggestions while we were making our selections.
Sad to see that the whole fish is no longer on the menu. It was my favorite!
Kitchen was slow. Wait staff was great.
Great service and very good food. We will be back for dessert in the near future
Love the food, love the space, loved the service and the live music was a treat.
We went for coolinary and LOVED it! Food was amazing and what a wine list. We’ll be back soon!
We decided last minute to make a reservation for the last night of Coolinary after missing it completely last year. Kinda got off to a slow start, we could tell the server was a little new and inexperienced, but hey, everyone starts somewhere. First courses were good. The salad was nicely dressed, but both my wife and I thought the gnocchi lacked seasoning. Entrees were by far the star. My wife’s skirt steak was PERFECTLY seasoned and cooked to temp, and my short rib was outstanding. Desserts were also very good, the s’mores pie and churros were great. And that jalapeño chocolate ice cream? Delicious, with the right amount of heat, and you could really taste that bright “green” of fresh jalapeño. We have already recommended Brasa since our visit, and we will definitely be back ourselves.
THe skirt seak was amazing! Prices a bit on the high side, but overall a good experinece.
Brasa was absolutely amazing! We went for coolinary but I will definitely be back. The skirt steak was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. Our server was very kind and overall this was a great experience.
Being our first time visiting, We weren’t sure what to expect but were very pleased with the while experience!!! Everything was perfect!!! We will definitely be back!!!
My Birthday dinner !
Everything was really great. Good wine list. Food was excellent. Prices didn’t seem outrageous. Our server was a little overwhelmed, but I suspect that they may have been short handed that evening.
Definitely go back soon.
Food was great but took a longggg time
The food was great! The only thing that bothered me, a lot, was the fact that it is Coolinary and had we not asked we would not have been given that menu. When we did ask our waitress was very clear, to the point of being a little rude, that we could not make any changes to the menu, it came just as it was on the menu. I have never been to a restaurant during Coolinary that did not give you the Coolinary menu along with their regular menu. There was a table with two eldering couples and they were looking for the Coolinary menu as well, we heard them and told them to ask their waitress for it. Just a shame. Don’t do Coolinary if you aren’t going to offer it to everyone. :(
We went to Brasa for the coolinary menu, which is by far one of the best offered in terms of choices. We absolutely loved everything we were served! On top of that, the service was amazing. We will be back!!
It was our first visit and we ordered almost everything off the menu. Will definitely be back! Got us walking the restaurant saying “That was a great dinner!”
Absolutely delicious!! All of the meats (chuleta, entraña & costilla) were prepared perfectly, the starters and sides were spot-on, and the desserts were equally as good. Wine suggestions were 100% on point (and affordable!). We'll be back!!
Our service was fantastic. When we ordered a bottle of sparkling water and they didn't have a bottle someone actually left the restaurant to go get one for us.
Very Nice atmosphere. Met some business associates for a drink and nice dinner. We shared a couple appertizers and each had a ceaser salad with fried chicken skins. The salad was a little warm and was the only part of the meal I didn’t care for Ordered Ribeyes the other entrees were a wyagu strips with a fat cap left on for the main meal and was very good. Our sides were potatoes augratin and grilled carrots both were excellent.
Reservation was for date night. In the future, I hope we aren’t sat next to a large group of very drunk, loud ladies. This made it very hard to communicate and enjoy the moment.
We will return, maybe just not on a Saturday night.
Server was overwhelmed with his tables and MIA most of the time, most of our service came from the manager. Steak and drinks were average. Price was great (Coolinary menu).
All was great.
Good food, great prices
Brasa was a bit of a conundrum for us. The staff was courteous and pleasant, however, our server continuously addressed us as “Friend “ or “Friends”, as in, “Well, friend....” or “What would you like friend?” or “Thank y’all. (pause) Friend. (pause) Thank y’all.” Also, the server would try to make clever comments. If someone would say, “I’d like a beer.”, she would say, “I’d like one too.” If someone would say, “I’d like a glass of wine.”, she would say, “I’d like one too. Friend.”. The schtick got old after awhile.
While the staffing level was plentiful, it seemed like they were always rushing around the place to the point where we actually saw a server running through the restaurant. The atmosphere was very frenetic. I’ve never seen such a frenzied pace in a restaurant before. For all the staff that was present and all the rushing around, the service was quite slow. It would take awhile for someone to come back to the table. Additionally, the noise level is VERY loud!
The food was pretty good. The bread rolls are quite good. The brussel sprouts could have been cooked a little bit longer as they were pretty hard. The gnocchi appetizer was delicious! The beet salad was drowning in olive oil and only had a few small pieces of beets. The entrees were solid and very tasty. Nothing really special about the desserts.
Cocktails are good and they have a decent wine selection. However, a major disappointment is that their red wines are stored at room temperature (New Orleans summer room temp) and served at room temperature. That’s totally unacceptable.
The restaurant is popular and was full. Good for them!
It's hard to review this restaurant. It was just OK. The steaks we had were good, the side things not so much. Service was good, but not exceptional. If we were anywhere else, I might say I'd recommend this to others, but in New Orleans there are just too many places that are better.
