We dined about 30 min. after they opened for dinner. I ordered an Andalusian drink similar to a sangria which was good. When I went to order a second one, I was told they were out of apples so did I want to order something else? They didn't have two items on the menu. Place felt like they were going out of business and were keeping the inventory down. Salmon belly wasn't very good for $17 appetizer...too acidic and salty. Paella was good. My husband only ate a non meat salad, I had an appetizer and entree and we had 3 alcohol drinks and the bill was $150 including tip. We will not be back.

I’m going to start by saying I don’t give negative reviews. We dined on 9 items on the menu. Service was great. Food was very well prepared and presented. Flavors were underwhelming. 1 item out of 9 was above average in flavor.
Our reservation was late, at 11:00pm and our waitress still was in the best humor, always smiling and willing to make us feel good and happy. The “captain” of the restaurant came and see if everything was ok. The food was very good. Very nice restaurant. Thank you Branzino. We were celebrating our sons graduation so it was a busy day.
Made the reservation 3 months ago and was called 1 hour before and was told I would be 30 mins delayed due the party before me showing up late. I told them this was unacceptable and I should not be penalized for the other parties error. They did manage to seat us after showing up and stating our case. Food was good but a little overpriced. Was not impressed with the paella but the rest of the food was good. The sangria was very watered down and lacked flavor. The service was excellent.
Ordered just about every tapa, fuerte, and dessert. Desserts were good. Everything else was just ok. Obviously, the food is better in Barcelona, but I didn't think I'd get better value there as well.
Overall really enjoyed Branzino.

My husband, daughter, and I went for brunch after our daughter’s graduation this morning from Cal Poly. We ordered the steaks and eggs, French toast, and seafood paella and we all shared. Everything was delicious except the paella. The rice in the paella was flavorless. The seafood in the paella was delicious and cooked perfectly. The steak and eggs were good and the French toast was delicious and a very generous portion. We also tried two of the red sangrias and they were both very good. We also all had coffee and it was not good.
New - great seafood, vegetarian options, drinks. They pay for parking at neighboring garage.
For the price point it was underwhelming. Some of the dishes were pleasant but the dinning room was just to hot. Hard to enjoy the food because of the humid stuffy air. Service was inattentive and impersonal. Will probably not return.
Fun, tasty new seafood tapas restaurant. We had their signature dish, a whole branzino fish that was cleaned at our table. Our octopus / potato appetizer was outstanding too. Our server was attentive and thoughtful. We're coming back soon.
The food was fantastic but at 7pm on a Friday night, they were out of Filet Mignon, which for how small the menu is, that probably shouldn’t happen.
The seafood paella was done extremely well. I was hoping for more than one piece of shrimp, since this is a “tapas” kind of style and it’s hard to share one piece. But all of the food was prepared extremely well.
The first time we went the food was very good. Lots of people dining. Servers were great.
The second time we went we were a party of 6 - nobody else was in the restaurant at 6:30 on a Sunday night - not a good sign.
The dinner was disappointing. Will not go back as there are better choices in town. This restaurant won't last

Delicious meal, great service, fun atmosphere. Food is to die for – fresh, local, yummy. Constant service from quite a few friendly staff. Lovely place to celebrate a special occasion, go for a date night, or a friends’ get-together. We’ll be back!
Not inexpensive, but a real treat - worth the money.
We shared the lobster cocktail for appetizer. It was perfectly cooked, and came with 3 different dipping sauces. My wife's salmon was SUPER. My paella was very good, but thought it could use some more vegetables. The paella was LOADED with seafood.
We had three different Spanish sparkling wines (Cava) which my wife and I shared. All 3 were excellent. I hate paying a lot for bad wine, which happens in too many restaurants.
We shared the dessert (espuma de chocolat) which was surprisingly good. The combination of flavors (chocolate pudding, whipped cream, and berries) was outstanding.
Restaurant was quiet initially, then the noise level picked up as more people arrived. Noise was not overpowering but definitely noticeable. Noise is a common problem with many restaurants.
Service was superb without being bothersome.
Overall, we had a wonderful time celebrating my wife's birthday. Highly recommended.
An all around excellent dinning experience. I would wholly recommend Branzino to anyone in or around SLO. The oyster service, excellent. Arugula salad, spot on. Paella, what-cho-talkin-bout Willis? That stuff is fo-real gooood! But the pièce de résistance are the churros con chocolate, if you like that sort of thing. Some good local wine selections but (as of this writing) no cocktails.
Everything about this place was fantastic! My boyfriend and I enjoy the small plates experience and to find one combined with a raw bar? Well, I knew it was prefect for our dinner out on our long weekend in SLO. We sat at the wine bar for our dinner and enjoyed views of the kitchen and great conversation with our server, Jorge. Every dish we had was out of this world with the steak tartar and hamachi standing out. But above all else was the surprise of the flavor of the crostini with Humboldt Fog cheese and sweet English peas. It doesn’t sound anywhere near as good as it was! Seasonal, fresh and creative food served by a bunch of attractive and customer service oriented wait staff. The attention to detail was impressive. I highly recommend Bronzino.

We ordered the Branzino (the whole fish) it looked beautiful, great presentation. Tasted good. Unfortunately there was still uncleaned guts which made that portion of the fish bitter and fishy, and there was still scales left on the fish skin.
We really enjoyed everything. All four of us have made many paellas and did not find yours to be authentic or at least what we expected. The shellfish was delicious - the rice so-so. The whole branzino was delish!
Absolutely spectacular meal. Went to Branzino for my birthday and was truly knocked out.

Such amazing food!! Will definitely be back. Octopus and oysters we're incredible. Arugula was ok as were the toasts. Glad we finished the meal with the churros...because holy amazing!!! Oh and thank you Branzino for treating us to some bubbly as we celebrated our anniversary!! We will definitely be back!!

We loved the variety of dishes. I recommend getting a few plates and sharing. Our server, Conner, was fabulous. She did a great job explaining the menu and making recommendations for the table. Thanks so much for making our special occasion so special!

I felt bad making such a late reservation (9pm) but it was the earliest we could get there. We had a great dinner and as always loved the sangria. I like to try something new each time- I enjoyed the tuna sashimi this visit. The staff was attentive and we didn’t feel rushed. This is definitely becoming one of my favorite restaurants here in SLO.
Mothers Day Brunch was absolutely fantastic! Service and food were wonderful.

The food was enjoyable. We were disappointed that there were a few things we ordered that were not available. We were told they had had a busy night the night before so they ran out of food.
Everything was great! Loved the good! Taste, presentation, amount of it and value. Service was great, very informative, quick but not annoying! Loved the overall experience and for sure will be back!
Three of us tried out the new hot spot in downtown SLO, and we already can't wait to go back. Highlights included Truffle Mushroom Croquetas (must order status) and Hamachi in an avocado leche de tigre that is so tasty we asked for bread to mop up the plate! Service was superb without being stuffy, and their open kitchen smells and looks amazing. Definitely another culinary gem here in the Central Coast!
Great, food was excellent, service was a little slow but not too bad. Very fun atmosphere and quality authentic food.
Seriously delicious food, but high priced. We had some Pan Tapas as well as the Paella Del Mar. When the tapas arrived I was surprised that we got truly 1 of each, 2 bites worth per. I'm used to tapas being a couple small items per order. So the tapas are priced at over $2 per bite.... but they are truly lovely bites. Just wallets beware.
We love this place but they served 3 of us our meal and the fourth meal came at least 10-15 minutes later. Our crispy skinned salmon was over cooked and a little dry. It might have continued cooking while we were waiting for the fourth dish to arrive.
There were no seafood selections on the menu that were for one person. All the prepared fish selections were designed for two. The chef would not make any accommodation for one person who wanted a dish
