The food, atmosphere and the service were outstanding.
Absolutely will be one of our regular places to go.
We love this restaurant. Consistently great food and great service. They work hard to make your evening a special experience. Only issue we have ever had is that a dish was too salty for our taste and they replaced it. Highly recommend it.
Fantastic restaurant. Staff was amazing. They had incredible specials. Very good value for a byob restaurant in Philadelphia
Very comfortable and upscale feel at Branzino. The staff was welcoming and the food was clearly made to order and very fresh. The table side filet of Branzino was done to perfection. We all enjoyed all our courses from the potato leek soup to the mushroom risotto to the home made ravioli and a steak and mushroom dish. Our server was attentive and friendly and the timing of the courses was excellent. She even answered our question about what olive oil they use for the bread dipping - and we already have ordered some for home. It’s also a BYOB and we will definitely be back soon.
Ate here before Covid when many people still avoided it due to it's stale reputation. Hope they're doing better now, but the food was very bland and uninspired for the price. The dining room was mostly empty. Unfortunately, the highlight was the bottle of wine we brought so it gets points for being a BYO.
Unfortunately, we had an incredibly disappointing meal. Every dish that was supposed to be hot was cold, as though they were plated and sat out for the entire dinner service of the evening. The ravioli was hard and the oysters tasted spoiled. We will not be returning.
Wonderful evening will be back soon. My fish had a few bones in it.
Food was great and the ambiance was fantastic. The service, however, was not on par with with the food and ambiance. Either the kitchen messed up or the wait person forgot to put our order in, because it took 45 minutes to get our dinner. The table who were seated next to us, and seated 20 minutes after us, got their food right after we did which added salt to the wound. The manager was nice and apologized. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary so given the delay n getting our food, we didn’t have time to ordered desert and coffee.
Great food and service but too loud. Could not converse with people at table
Great atmosphere and good food. I would like to see the entrees a bit larger. My entree consisted of six small raviolis and I thought it would be a bit more generour.
Went here for my husbands and I valentines day dinner. The food was very good especially the Branzino. We were seated at a table that we weren't happy with and we did get to move right away. The restaurant was very busy tha night as it was a Saturday night but the staff was very helpful and accommodating to all our needs. Look forward to revisiting.
Food is very average. Service was TERRIBLE. We were seated without menus. After 10 minutes had to flag a waiter down for menus. Had to later flag him down again to take our order. He told us the food we ordered would take too long and he would recommend changing our order. The portions were so small we left hungry. My side dish came out cold. We also were given a dirty fork and had to request clean silverware.
Food took forever to come out which really wasn’t that big of deal because it’s byob but it lacked flavor and the stuffed gnocchi was barely cooked. Server was definitely new and couldn’t handle multiple tables. Definitely check the menu before you go because there’s not much of a selection for a Italian restaurant. Small portions for the price.
I’ve been here a few times before and was quite happy with everything, but not tonight. First we were seated at a wobbly table in a dingy corner we had to be moved from. Our mussels came out cold (the bottom ones were warm) to start. Our entrees (once they eventually came out) were average at best. My cavatelli was very under seasoned and bland, and the sauce tasted like melted butter. My wife’s crab ravioli were decent, but were overkill with lemon taste. If they could’ve found a happy medium for both they’d be better. Then dessert we had to wait for 30 minutes for a piece of cake!! My wife got up to cancel and the waitress showed up with it. But once they brought the check the waitress all of a sudden got super quick with service!! I get it was a holiday weekend but their service was totally mismanaged. It’s as if nobody knew what their roles were, whether they were waitressing or seating or serving water. Two hours for average food and below average service.
Haven't been here in years and was disappointed on Saturday night. We sat in the white room and our table was apparently over the constantly running boiler. Food was fine. I got the mushroom risotto (delicious) and my spouse got scallops ($30 for 3). The scallops were undercooked.
The food was barely edible. Maybe since it was a busy night the food was all pre-made, however neither me or my husband ate our main dish even to the point where we both felt sick after dinner. Again, maybe just due to the holiday, but highly disappointed.
Branzino was a great spot for Valentine’s Day dinner!
This was my first time and I must say the food was awesome. Ambiance was perfect and overall service was really good. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
We loved the food., the ambiance and the service
My mom and sister came to visit my boyfriend and I in the city and we were treated very rudely as soon as we walked in the door. My boyfriend went to go buy wine and the rest of us went to the restaurant. The restaurant was empty and they refused to seat us until all of us were there. I was very disappointed with the server as well, he ignored us for a long time when we sat down. We must’ve been waiting for at least twenty minutes before hearing specials. The food was excellent but I will not be coming back here due to the service. They really need to re-evaluate how they treat polite customers.
The pastas are delicious, the branzino is sublime...super fresh. The room(s) are very nicely appointed and the sound level is among the best we have experienced in the city. This is a real favorite.
What a gem!
You walk in and everything is perfect from warm greeting, to the fireplace table, and service, is one of the best. We ordered the calamari, done perfectly, the arugula crisp and fresh, shared mushroom raviolo and gnocho, besides in Italy, I have not have such fresh and tasty pasta. The branzino filleted tableside by the expert is fabulous, the scallops divine. The service was superb, took great care of us, made us feel very special indeed! Great vibe and finished of with famous Albanian three milk cake. Favorite italian spot for us, which we will return again and again! Best compliments to chef Luan!
Absolutely excellent, in terms of presentation, freshness, service and overall experience. We had the spectacular branzino (done up at the table) and the scallops, as well as a few appetizers and a dessert, and sat up in the room with the fireplace and windows. Just lovely, reasonably priced, and a plus to have it a BYOB.
Out with my husband, we hadn’t been here since before the fire in 2016. Always enjoyed branzino, and if didn’t disappoint this time. It was restaurant week and the choices were great and value good. My only criticism is that the dining room is rather dreary. Perhaps during the day, the cream-colored walls are bright but at night without artwork and color, the tall ceilings and drab interior is somewhat depressing. Otherwise love this place!
Food and ambience was great. Would definitely go back again.
Only negative was the website indicates parking $10 with validation but LAZ parking would not accept it. Advised Branzino they should remove it from their website.
We went for restaurant week it was pretty good! The only downside was the they ran out of half the entrees so I had to order whatever was leftover and it was not my first preference. Made it especially difficult since I was vegetarian but they were nice to adjust my order and add vegetables to my pasta. Service was good and dessert cake was amazing!
Perfect. Everything was perfect. Can’t wait to go back
We were there for restaurant week which is often not a good value. I felt this was done very well. The portions were on the small side but fine. The food was all delicious...everyone in my party loved their dinner. I will definitely be back soon.
The wait staff was very attentive, accommodating and professional. This place is BYOB but also appears to have a bar in the front? I didn't understand but I appreciated the ability to bring my own wine in to enjoy. The carpaccio appetizer was phenomenal. The braised lamb shank was flavorful and decadent and the Albanian cake is my new favorite dessert.
Overall dining experience was mediocre at best, particularly with the service component- more of a cookie-cutter/cattle-car scenario than what we had been accustomed to - the food was good, albeit not exceptional, as was the supporting ambiance- with all of the great Philadelphia culinary choices, I’m not sure we’ll be rushing back
Excellent service and food. Great for a fun night out!
Tasty food. Nice value for restaurant week. Very friendly and skilled waiter, Matt and waitstaff. Would definitely go back.
First time visit in several years. Everyone made you feel welcome. It was restaurant week and the selections were very good. Carpaccio of Beef particularly good. So was their coffee. Importantly there was enough space between tables.
Excellent Food, fantastic service, great choice
For any occasion!
The food and the service was outstanding. The noise level but a bit much but it was because of a large party of young people but otherwise it was fine. We got to experience the owners and they were just lovely. We plan to return.
Since it was restaurant week, my friends and I decided to go out for lunch. There were five of us.
Friendly staff. Great service. Excellent food. Nice atmosphere. Definitely coming back.
From start to finish our experience was perfect! We were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to our lovely table by the fireplace. Our server Serdar was so helpful and friendly. We asked for suggestions and his did not disappoint. The portions are a perfect size and the taste of the food is amazing. I had the lamb shank, my sister had the branzino, and my niece had the seafood tortellini. All were cooked to perfection (we tried each other’s lol). I also loved that this is a BYOB. Our wine was promptly opened and they offered us a bag to take the unfinished bottles home in. I will definitely be back and will recommend this place to many! Thank you.
was worried that after the fire that closed it for so long it would not be as good as it was before. I was right,it was better. Wonderful food on every level. Excellent service. Overall wonderful. Where we sat was a little blah in ambience but front of restaurant was cozy and cute. All told, well worth another visit.
Great spot! Food was fab and service was attentive yet not hovering.
