About Brandywine Prime
Located in the heart of the Brandywine Valley, this modern American steakhouse is a short drive from Philadelphia, the Main Line or Wilmington. The complete redo of the 300 year old Chadds Ford Inn has created an excellent canvas with which to paint. The cuisine is strictly twenty-first century with an emphasis not only top quality cuts of beef, like the 10 oz. barrel cut ribeye, but fresh seasonal seafood, like soft-shell crabs and wild salmon. The comfortable bar beckons you in with a Best of Philly burger, ahi tuna club and a local draft beer. Creative sandwiches, great happy hour specials and great steaks ensure we have something for everyone. Modern finishes to an historic building create an inviting, hip atmosphere that welcomes all-from tourists to business travelers to local families to private events in one of our many rooms.

Brandywine Prime Ratings and Reviews
Brandywine Prime is an excellent steakhouse located somewhat off the beaten path in Chaddsford, PA. The steaks are well prepared, and the sides are delicious as well. I had the truffle potatos au gratin (delish) and the portobella mushroom with spinach was yummy. It is a bit on the expensive side, but if you are looking for quality over quantity, look no further. The wine list is exceptional, the room is cozy yet modern, and it's not a chain! Yay! I highly recommend it. The cuisine is terrific.
What an enjoyable Sunday Brunch. My wife and I celebrated our 34th “1st date” anniversary. Great excuse to go to brunch. The combination buffet and personal meal was wonderful. My wife enjoyed the Bloody Mary and its home made formula including the perfect tang of Worcestershire sauce and horse radish. I enjoyed the salmon, shrimp and prosciutto from the buffet table.
Our meals of Eggs Benedict and egg, feta cheese and spinach omelette could not have been more delicious. A final ramekin of creme brûlée set us on our way fully sated.
Did I mention our waiter, Michael, who could not have been more charming and attentive.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal with friends at Brandywine Prime. The food was delicious and the portions sizes were very ample. Our entrees of braised short ribs and pork chop were perfectly cooked. The $6/bottle corkage fee allowed us to bring special bottles from our personal wine cellars. Our server was pleasant and well informed about the menu and specific ingredients. This was definitely worth the 30+ minute drive each of us made to dine here.
Brandywine Prime had very good service and a lovely, cozy atmosphere. Despite the extreme cold outside, the building was very warm and inviting. The back room was relatively quiet once the large table behind us (including children and noisy grandparents) left. Service was attentive until the very end (dessert/check time, then we sat awhile). As soon as the appetizers came, I reached for the salt and pepper - in general I found the entire meal under-seasoned, the steak especially. The buffalo carpaccio was trendy, though the portion of meat was very small. I didn't quite care for the shallot jam - it gave the whole dish a rather sweet finish and could have used more bite with the pecorino cheese. Personally I prefer the more Italian and traditional preparation. The buffalo meat was mild and delicious, but would not order again. The entree steaks were beautiful cuts of meat, though completely unseasoned. Thankfully I ordered one with blue cheese, or it would've been too bland for me. Beautiful bone-in NY Strip cooked perfectly. However, the side green beans were cold and additional sides we ordered (gratin potatoes, mushrooms) came without serving spoons. The majority of the desserts contained booze, which didn't suit for one of our family members in AA - which was a little disheartening; he ended up with ice cream... I was rather disappointed given the price, and will recommend we stick to Harry's Savoy or Sullivan's. Sorry Brandywine.
We had an excellent meal on New Years Eve. the steaks and appetizers were very tasty and our waiter was superb. He knows just about everything there is to know about good steaks. He was both knowledgeable and entertaining. We have never had anything less than an excellent time and meal at Brandywine Prime.
Food was great (all of the dishes in our party of 3, except the lobster bisque). Service was sub par for the price of the whole experience. It took almost 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us after being sat. Not sure if our waiter had other tables in another section but we didn’t see him a lot. The section of the restaurant we were in was not full but there was very few open times (515 or 845 for party of 3) online when I made the reservation over 3 weeks prior to dinner. I’d give them another try because of the food but would hope for better service given the price of the dinner.
I brought my wife to Brandywine Prime for her birthday. We enjoyed a a fabulous meal in a cozy corner of the restaurant. The food, from start to finish, was incredible. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic night out. Our one issues was that our server was a bit too informal for the restaurant. He was friendly but did not make us feel as though we were dining at an upscale establishment. His decor suggested that perhaps we should be enjoying brunch at a local greasy spoon. Aside from our servers informal nature, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
Had an awesome visit once again. This time with our 8 & 10 yr old granddaughters. The server was very accommodating and we had a great time! My husband had the short ribs, my 10 yr old granddaughter and I had the filet Mignon (she LOVES her steak) and the youngest had fresh made chicken tenders. Everyone enjoyed to the last bite! We started with the fresh mozzarella and the mushroom tart. The Tart was amazing! I wish they made them and froze them so you could buy and take home! Brandywine Prime never disappoints. Whenever we are in the area, we really try to have a lovely dinner here. 😊
Recently celebrated a birthday at their Sunday Brunch....great value for Sunday Brunch, warm and quiet ambiance, outstanding service from helpful but never intrusive staff, delicious and varied buffet food choices, in addition to excellent choice of regular menu items....look forward to returning soon.
I can’t say a negative thing about this restaurant.
We made reservations for 2 people but called to ask if we could bump it up to 4 at the last minute. No problem. Our waitstaff was very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. Best scallops I’ve ever eaten, and I am a snob when it comes to them.
All in all, BRAVO!!!!
