Best meal we've had in a long time. Melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon. Save room for the chocolate caramel pecan tart. Very friendly staff. Very professional operation but with humor and warmth. No minuses. Worth every penny.
We went for the Sunday brunch. Found many things to our liking and overall enjoyable. Will go again
My husband and I love going to Brandywine Prime for Brunch. The food is delicious, the service is great and it's such a relaxing way to enjoy a Sunday.
I had the Spring Quiche and it was delicious. The desserts are just wonderful. I highly recommend.
My wife and I and 3 of our friends thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday brunch. What a nice combination of a communal spread as well as an individual entree. I had the eggs benedict and they were just wonderful. My friend raved about the fried chicken and waffles. The best were the multitude of desserts. I am not a dessert eater so I enjoyed a nice glass of wine. My wife and friends munched on the various selections of cakes, cookies and according to everyone the best was the apple crisp or deep dish pie. At a price that was about $30 a person we just enjoyed it.
Service was prompt and the energy level was perfect. It was a good crowd enjoying conversations and laughter but not ear drum rattling loud nor funereal calm.
Great food, great waitstaff worth the two hour drive
Food is beautifully prepared and delicious with exception of creme brulee which lacked custard quality. Also appreciated changing our reservation last minute because we were held up. Thank you.
The food is always excellent here. One of our favorite restaurants in the area. Pork chop was a bit dry this time, usually amazing.
Excellent food and service, highly recommend.
Salads were good, and my wife's swordfish was tasty, but the temperature of the two Filets that my son and I had were "cool". They were cooked appropraitely (Medium), but were not hot when they arrved at the table. Being a "Steak Place" you'd think they would get that right! Disappointed.
Mouthwatering food and outstanding service. Their pear martini is delicious and definitely a favorite. The salad specialty of the evening was a mango blend that had the perfect lite dressing to compliment the spring greens. The mushroom tart apetizer was perfectly sized for 2 people. A delicious crust compliments the softly sautéed mushrooms that are blended with a delectable triple cream brie. Truly an amazing combination. An 8oz. center cut filet mignon is perfectly proportioned and cooked to melt in your mouth deliciousness. This is definitely a new favorite restaurant for us!
First time visit for friends of 50 years. As usual, it met with approval by all concerned. It had been the favorite special place for my departed wife and I and still is for myself, my daughter and her partner. Food, service, atmosphere are all excellent.
Their Sunday brunch remains an exceptional value and superior to other brunches I have been to.
Excellent dining, drinks and wines. Comfortable tables and chairs. Clean and user friendly toilet facilities. While we did not use the bar room, we did walk through it both to and back from our dining area; it was crowded and there was an obviously pleased clientele in attendance.
We enjoyed our entrees - short ribs, in one case, and rib-eye in the other, followed followed up by a simple plate of ice cream for dessert.
We look forward to a return visit.

Brandywine Prime is our go-to for reliably excellent food. From start to finish, dinner there is always without complaint. I do wish they would put the wagyu on their regular menu because I’m always sad when we are there and it’s not a special, but that’s pretty rare so I can’t complain. That steak is exceptional and worth the price. One of the main reasons that this restaurant is our favorite is Michael, the most knowledgeable, professional server we have ever come across. He really makes the experience at Brandywine Prime stand out for us.
Had been to Brandywine Prime on several occasions. It had always been superb. This time it was average. The prices jumped and the quality went down. Not a good combination. The Cowboy Prime Ribeye was on the old menu for $48. It was now a special for $68. They also added choice cuts for what used to be prime prices. We were all disappointed!
This restaurant needs to step up it's game to meet it's ambitious pricing ($200 incl tax and tip for three courses and beverages for two). The food was very good but not great. The service was lackluster from the disinterested host, to the rude runner, and the overly casual and inattentive server. The atmosphere is lovely but we couldn't fully appreciate it as we felt rushed out of the restaurant after slightly less than two hours at our table. It was a holiday (Easter Sunday) but a restaurant shouldn't accept 7pm reservations if they intend to turn the lights out at 9pm. I gave Brandywine Prime an average rating because the food was pretty good but I wouldn't recommend it and the experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
Easter dinner was the occasion. Got seated on time, apps delicious, food came out hot. We all had some kind of steak even my 10 year old off child’s menu, very good. Would like to return to try something different.
At no fault of the restaurant, but when I made the reservation I didn't realize that on Easter Sunday they were only serving brunch from 10-3pm. We enjoyed the meal but was looking forward to more selection.
We recently had dinner there along with our 7yo son. We were craving a great steak but having just arrived home after a long trip, we weren’t exactly dressed or up for a fancy steakhouse. We had a fabulous meal, the service was terrific, and while I wouldn’t say this is a family-friendly place (its closer to fine dining than that), they were incredibly accommodating and attentive to my son. Nice selection of kid friendly meals too. Food is excellent, variety is plentiful. Can’t wait to go back.
First time there for Sunday brunch and it was excellent. Our waiter was also excellent. Would definitely like to go there for dinner next time and would definitely go back for brunch. Very nice atmosphere also.
I took my granddaughter's after church yesterday and my 7 year old granddaughter ordered eggs benedict. When the order came she said "these look too good to eat"! I cut them up for her and she devoured them....enough said!
venue much nicer than other recent restaurants in that the place was quieter
Our dinner was nothing short of amazing and fantastic. The grilled octopus was imaginative and delectable- not heavy or greasy but full of flavor! Filet and scallops- same. Out of this world. GREAT bar scene and fun!!!! Please go here !!! It was wonderful!!
Steaks are a pricey for the area. Would eat there more if better value. Service and atmosphere are great.
First time visit. Was highly recommended by friends. They were right. Service, atmosphere, food were outstanding. Evening was perfect from beginning to end. Michael was our server. Very knowledgeable, friendly, attentive. Ask for him if you go. You won’t be disappointed.
Service was lovely, attentive, thoughtful. Meal was delicious, local, creative, memorable. Possible troubles with expediting as meal spacing was long. But overall, very impressed. Wonderful time for our date / celebration.
We came for a special occasion with family. We utilized their VERY reasonable corkage fee to bring some top wine with us, which was good because their selection (at least by the glass) was lacking. The food was delicious, plentiful, and they had something perfect for everyone in our party (who can be picky). The service was a little less than desirable - the waiter passed our table numerous times without so much as glancing over to see if we needed anything and took quite a while to see us in the first place. The ambiance was nice and the noise level tolerable. There is a lot of overhead noise from the upper floor which I was not expecting, although was not a problem given the otherwise gentle noise level below. All in all, I would recommend it for the food alone, which is worth the drive!
Food was good, but not at the level to justify the price points.
Frustrating burger night policy that is not available in the dining room
We were with the kids and all of us had a great meal. My daughters steak was great. My son loved his burger and my wife and I had the fish. While the vibe was fine to have the kids with us this place shines on date night. Looking forward to coming back.
I'm never disappointed at Brandywine Prime. The food and service are always excellent, and the waiters are very happy to lend advice and offer a "taste" when considering a wine that I'm not familiar with. This visit didn't disappoint. My friend and I both had the barrel cut ribeye (a steak I've never had before) and it was delicious. I will order it again, and this is coming from someone who swears there's no steak like a NY strip! It's a bit expensive (that's why I only give value 4 stars instead of 5), but a good steakhouse usually is. My dear mother always told me "you get what you pay for", and Brandywine Prime is worth every penny.
Always have a good meal at BP. Also, bring your own wine is a great deal.
My wife and I were looking to entertain some friends from out-of-town (Washington D.C.) for dinner. BP got us a table; even though it was St. Paddy's Day, on short notice. As always, the food was delicious and the service was great. One of our friends has Celiac's Disease & BP's menu was able to accommodate her, as well. I recommend this place all the time, especially if you are looking for a great steak! We weren't disappointed. Thank you Brandywine Prime!
Cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Good food and good service. Good bar atmosphere.
One of many visits to B.P. The food is always good. Been frequenting this colonial type eatery for a long time. Just a wonderful meal and fantastic personal service. Parking can be a little difficult.
No wait when we arrived for our reservation and Michael our server was on top of everything throughout the evening.
Excellent presentation and flavors.
Would recommend to others but dont want the secret to get out..😀
Seafood and soup excellent. Steak and green beans and sides very good. Service by Jerry awesome. Friendly. Romantic.
Best bone in ribeye ever! Jerry always provides excellent service!
We had a gift card for Brandywine Prime so we decided to eat on a Friday during lent. Bad idea, the scallops I got were ok, not a good choice since this place is know for meat! The salad was amazing! We also got two sides, baked and mashed potato. Mashed was very good but the baked potato was dry and bland and for $6 not a good value. I make better baked potatoes at home! I had a couple of glasses of wine and my daughter ordered the salmon which was very good. We got carrot cake and a martini (expresso) for dessert. The bill $126. We knew it would cost a lot, but unless you are eating the filet, I wouldn't recommend eating there. Michael our server was outstanding. Overall a good experience.
Celebrated a friend's birthday here they loved the food and the Ambiance of the place.
Their steak was fabulous and so were their drinks.
First visit. The guy waiter with the beard was very off putting and quite condescending when he talked about steak. At the end of the day steaks were just ok, atmosphere very nice and drinks very strong. Not a place that draws you back. B-
