Restaurant was very slow due to people staying home wrt the Corona virus. Food was delicious especially the octopus app and the grilled swordfish. Service was excellent.
Brandywine Prime is our go to place for a guaranteed great experience. Glad we had a chance to get in before the COVID-19 restrictions went into place this past Sunday evening. Our waiter Arturo was outstanding, and food and ambience as always was excellent.
Fabulous! Great service and delicious meal! Good time had by all...
Quality of food, service, ambiance second to none. If you’ve never been here for Brunch, it is a must try.
BP is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, if not #1. If its my choice on where the family goes out to eat for a special occasion, BP is it. The food is always perfect and the staff is over accommodating, but not is an over bearing type of way.
The food was great like normal, but the waiter was rushing us for some reason. We had reservations, but he kept focusing on wanting to take our entire order at once so it wouldn’t be held up according to him. I actually think he just wanted to make sure he wasn’t staying too late. If the reservation was too late, then the restaurant shouldn’t have allowed it. First time that has ever happened at any restaurant I have eaten at. We did order all the food separate and it all came out within reasonable times, so what he was saying made no sense. Will not be my 1st choice to visit going forward because of that.
I would expect better at this price point - $170 for three with dud each - and only 3 alcoholic
Brunch food selection was excellent - Both a la Cart and buffet style. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. We definitely will return and recommend this restaurant to others.
The food was exceptional ( Salmon dinner ) as was the service.
Great food! A little pricey but well worth it. The wine list is excellent as well.
Dropped in for a quick steak. Ordered the barrel cut Ribeye but Nope. We are out. Then ordered the NY. Asked for it Medium rare Pittsburgh as the waiter put it. The girlfriend ordered the Porkchop. The steak came with green beans as per the menu. So we ordered asparagus to share as I told the waiter. Here is what I got. Four green beans with the $40 steak. The Asparagus on my plate: fun sharing across the table. BTW...Asparagus lukewarm and the steak by no means was neither hot or "Pittsburgh". Total bust on my end. Oh to top it off...not a tender steak by any means. Really...$40 steak you couldn't drop it hot? Girlfriends Chop was hot and seasoned well...but she said it was dry. I know...chops are hard and always a risk. One thing that was great was the Tuffle French fries. To add I never write these things but after this night... Add two drinks and $140+...the cat ate well.
We always have an incredible experience here. It's our favorite local restaurant!
One of our favorite dinner destinations. Alway great food and considerate service.
Carmine was a fantastic server and we will be requesting him in the future. Knowledgeable and calm and quick to react to needs.
I really felt like the brunch could have been so much better. Entrees were not great and buffet is sparse.
Thanks for a perfect night out , Brandywine Prime! We enjoyed your service: our waiter was attentive, friendly and a professional at listening to what we wanted and making that happen. We enjoyed the atmosphere: cozy, clean, upscale and pleasantly busy. And we enjoyed the food: fall-off-your-fork tender short ribs, just-jumped-out-of-the-garden spinach and greens, and the shrimp were pretty much baby lobsters they were so large ! Bread was a warm -edible gluten-y pillow we could sink into the lobster bisque which was also an excellent meal in itself. Thank you for keeping your restaurant fresh, sustainably sourced, and offering a consistent steakhouse option to those of us who live in the area. Restaurant business is tough so I thank you for trying to stay at the top of your pack.
Absolutely an amazing experience every time! The food is awesome!! The drinks are perfect and the staff is stellar!!!
I love your restaurant. The only comment I have is the be more generous with vegetables, both as side dishes and with the entree.
Valentines Day dinner was wonderful. The limited menu always makes me hesitant to book on a holiday but there was plenty to choose from and it was all delicious! We had excellent service!
I was really disappointed. For the price you pay for a steak, you'd think it would be seasoned. It was bland and comes with about 5 green beans. The waiter was good and the ambiance is OK. The food just sucked.
Brandywine Prime is a great gem!
First, you need to accept that this is a steakhouse, and the prices reflect that. They're high. The lowest price steak was $42, and the special porterhouse was $68. Also, there aren't a ton of non-grill options. But I love the atmosphere -- the restaurant is in an historic inn but nicely updated. We sat in a booth that doesn't exactly offer privacy, but it was very comfortable and plenty of space for two. Our server was fantastic -- very professional, yet friendly. Water glass never went empty, and a finished plate never sat very long before being cleared. The food is good. I started with a lobster bisque ($14) that served as a great start to my meal. I went with a 14 oz. NY strip ($52) that came with a few thin green beans. I ordered a baked potato, which was huge. My wife isn't a big steak fan, so she looked at a few of the other options, which included salmon, short ribs and mushroom ravioli, but landed on a salad (which was a decent size for $9), mushroom tart ($12) and shrimp cocktail ($17.50 for 5 shrimp). The restaurant offers full bar service, of course. I enjoyed a draft porter (although, again, a bit pricey at $8 for less than half a pint), while my wife had a cosmo ($10). Well, she actually had two before our evening ended.
We save Brandywine Prime for special occasions. I just find it hard to justify spending so much on a meal when it's not that out of the ordinary. But if you don't flinch at high prices, you won't complain about the food or service.
Food was disappointing. Steaks not properly seasoned. Sides just okay. Definitely not in line with the cost.
Had a wonderful dinner on the 2nd fl.
Our waiter was delightful
Our fav place to dine
Overall good experience , food was great , service was excellent . Only complaint , they squeezed my wife and I into a small table in the corner that was a little crowded with the large group next to us that was loud also. There were other open tables , not totally full.
Consistently a great steak house.
I loved the hot entree choice from the kitchen, and not 'carving stations' all over. The buffet choices were fewer than typical, but all delicious and very nicely prepared. Everything was kept refilled and fresh. Our waiter, Michael, was super!
We have been making a 2hr drive for 10yrs for our anniversary well worth the trip , great food ,great service . the Kiley's
Dinner at Brandywine Prime tonight was AWESOME as always!! For drinks, Mom and Dad had water, and I had soda. For appetizers, Mom and I shared the BP Nachos, our favorite. They were tortilla chips, which were baked and had cheddar cheese, ripe tomatoes, black beans, shredded lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole. They were delicious as always! Dad ordered the Grilled Romaine Cesar Salad, which was romaine lettuce grilled, served with a creamy Cesar dressing with Meadow View Farm eggs, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, and croutons. He enjoyed it. We had rolls and butter too. For the main course, Mom and Dad both ordered the Grilled Farroe Island Wild Salmon, which was cooked perfectly, and was served with asparagus, salt roasted beets, a pesto vinaigrette, and a Meyer lemon aioli. They both ordered a baked potato with butter to go with it. Dad had his salmon without the beets. I ordered the Free Bird Farm Chicken Breast, which was cooked perfectly, and was served in a mushroom chasseur sauce. I substituted mashed potatoes for the potato croquette. It was yummy! For dessert, Mom had regular coffee with sugar and milk. Dad had a scoop each of vanilla and chocolate Woodside ice cream, his favorite. I had the Chocolate Brownie Pie, which was made with a house-made fudge drizzle, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. It was yummy, and I LOVED IT!! Michael, the general manager and owner, Michael, who is another waiter, and Donna, the hostess, all came by to say hello and see how our food was. Carmen, our waiter, was friendly and funny. Thanks again for another great meal Brandywine Prime! See you again soon!
Wonderful, as always! I hope the 10 ounce bison strip steak special becomes part of the main menu or is offered regularly. We are NEVER disappointed!
This restaurant is our go-to place for special dinners. Food is always well-prepared and has a nice presentation. Service is always attentive as well. Mark is an excellent server and confidently answers any questions we might have. Another wonderful experience.
Large steak house with genuine charm in historic Chadds Ford. Good service and a comfortable interior. The menu is boring and limited with steak house prices and side dishes.
Not a Ruth’s or Cap Grill but it’s a good local spot.
We were thrilled to secure a round table for a Birthday Celebration for our group of 6 and enjoyed an outstanding dinner including the Barrel Cut Rib-eye the amazing Short Ribs to the delicious Filet, of course, all were well prepared and Carson took great care of us. I can personally recommend the lobster bisque, flat-bread and the amazing desserts of which I sampled a few.... We all look forward to dining at BP again soon.
Great selection! Lovely atmosphere
Went to brunch based on a recommendation. The food was not good for kids. Other than fruit and some sweets, there really was nothing for them to eat on the buffet. They gave us a little trouble because my daughter wanted pancakes but they only offered them for five and under. She is ten and she didn't want the waffles or French toast offered for 12 and under. Not sure why there is a difference, or why it was a problem. My son ordered the waffle and it was a savory waffle. Not your typical fluffy Belgian waffle. It was dense and not a hint of sweetness to it. The pancakes were under done and were the same savory-type taste. My husband and I enjoyed the food but for the cost, and lack of variety on the buffet, there are better places to go. We were disappointed. In addition, the room we were sat in was very cramped. My son's chair was touching the chair of the woman behind him and he was pushed all the way in. There were plenty of open tables in the room but we were cramped together for some reason. Don't think we will be back.
Excellent in every way...!!!
Service... Creative Wonderful Food!
Very comfortable historic atmosphere and friendly professional service!
We went there at 5:30 on a Thursday night because they’ve been offering 1/2 price sandwiches from 4:30-6:30 (Happy Hour) on Thursdays for at least the past couple of years. Apparently they discontinued that in 2020, so all sandwiches were full price. Draft beers were still $3 and selected appetizers were $5 during Happy Hour. It was very crowded and there were not enough wait or chef staff to handle that many people in a timely manner. We waited at least three times as long as usual for our dinner to arrive.
Dinner was AMAZING tonight!!! We love Brandywine Prime!!! We came here after seeing The Philly Pops in Philadelphia! Our waiter, Keegan, was very friendly and entertaining! We ate in the Tavern Room for dinner, our favorite spot! For drinks, I had soda, Dad had hot tea, and Mom had water. For an appetizer, we ordered our favorite, the BP Nachos!! They had cheddar cheese, ripe tomatoes, black beans, shredded lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole. They were so good, we had to take the rest home! Dad also ordered a Chopped Iceberg Salad without the cucumbers. It had chopped iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, and was served with a smokey buttermilk Rouge Valley blue cheese dressing. He really enjoyed it!!! For the main course, I ordered The Best Of Philly BP Prime burger, with cheddar cheese and caramelized onions and mushrooms, and was served on a brioche bun, served with a pickle and French fries. It was yummy as always! Dad had the 8 oz. Texas Wagu Short Ribs, which were delicious! They were served with braised baby carrots, a creamy potato puree, and a cabernet reduction sauce. Mom had the Free Bird Farm Chicken Breast, which was cooked perfectly, and was served with a potato croquette, and a mushroom chasseur sauce. She LOVED it! For dessert, Mom had coffee with sugar and milk, and the Fried Gala Apple Pie, which is a warm apple pie served with cinnamon dust, vanilla ice cream, and caramel sauce. She really enjoys it! Dad had a scoop of vanilla and chocolate ice cream. I had the Chocolate Brownie Pie, my all-time favorite! It was served with a house made fudge drizzle, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream! It was yummy! The hostess, my friend Donna, came by to our table to say hello and see how our food was. Thanks again for another great meal Brandywine Prime! See you again soon!
This was the first time that we have been to the Sunday Brunch and it was amazing! There was a great selection of cheese and meats on the buffet and the entree selections were superb. We were fortunate to have had Michael (our normal dinner waiter) and he was just as informative and helpful in making selections as he is at dinner. If you love eggs Benedict, this is the place to get them. They are prepared perfectly with a nice runny yolk. Can’t wait to go again!
