It was ok but we were there on Father’s Day last year and it was much better with a larger selection of food, better deserts.
Brandywine Prime's wait staff had a pleasant attitude. The recommendations were spot on and the food was tasty. Had the brunch and it was great for the price. Would visit again when in the area.
One of the best brunch offerings for the price. Wonderful desserts
Arturo was terrific and the food superb. I had the pork chop and cream spinach and artichokes and I can’t wait to return and get this combo again.
We have eaten here before and we found it to be very nice. This time we paid way more and came away with way less. Not worth the price we paid. $68 steak was more like a $20 store bought steak. Not sure what happened.
We always go to Brandywine Prime for steaks, but this time we decided to try their half price burger night and all I can say is Wow! These were huge burgers on Le Bus brioche rolls that were beyond words delicious. Cooked to the proper temperature and those hand cut fries just finish off a perfect burger meal. Word of advice is get there early bc it gets busy on burger night! Definitely give it a try!
From the moment we stepped in the door, the hostess greeted us warmly and was very congenial. Our waiter was friendly, accommodating and excellent with his service. The food was outstanding. I would recommend Brandywine Prime highly.
My husband ordered the scallops and was very disappointed. I know it’s a steak house but they need to up there seafood menu
Food was excellent, service was prompt! Thanks to all!
A delicious meal with excellent service.
Second time here and both times have been marked by great service, ambience, and food
The food was great, but the server made it not very enjoyable. He asked what we wanted to drink and because we don’t drink, the look he gave us and his abruptness was such a turnoff. He did not follow-up when the meals came to see if everything was okay and never asked how they were. He walked past us several times with a water pitcher, but never filled our empty glasses. He seemed much more attentive to tables that ordered drinks from the bar. Not impressed at all. This was one instance when the server ruined it for us to want to return to this restaurant.
Mark, the waiter, was everything a great waiter should be; knowledgeable, patient, attentive. whenever I return, and hopefully soon, will request him. Food was excellent as it should be at a $$$$ type restaurant. Table on second floor near stairwell not desirable due to noise level from, I guess, a wait station where dishes were (noisily) being deposited. Love being able to BYOB with minimal $7 ($6 on-line) uncorking charge. Looking forward to next visit.
Great service, food quality very good
Octopus appetizer is delicious as was the mushroom ravioli. Steakhouse martini can be had with Austin-based Tito’s vodka - a winner. Steaks are pricy, but there are many healthy and lower cost options.
a Fabulous place - hope to go back soon
Food was great asked individuals about the area so our senior group can take a bus trip and include Brandywine Prime in the days activities.
Fantastic food and great service in a historic building. We will definitely be back!!
Amazing as always :) last time was just my husband and I for fathers day, this time we brought friends and they loved us too! And we had the same server who was amazing yet again! And very knowledgable. He knew everything on the menu and answered all our questions. All the food was great too! We'll be back with more people next time!
The entire evening was outstanding. Our wait staff was great as well - we realized after ordering an appetizer that one of our friends is deathly allergic to crab - our waiter took that item off the order - no issues. Everyone was very kind and great service. Food was fantastic. Only drawback was it took us a long time to find parking - something should be done about parking - it wasn't easy. Everything else was just great!
My husband and I had a great experience here. Appetizers, dinner and dessert were amazing. Our server Mike was also outstanding and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of the whole night. Highly recommend!
We had an excellent dinner, brilliantly served by Arturo. Relaxed atmosphere and delicious steaks!
A perfect place for a date night with my husband! Food and service was wonderful!
This was our first visit to Brandywine Prime during restaurant week. They offered a limited prix fixe menu. Our excellent server told us we could also order off the regular menu if we wished. The food was amazing-well prepared and delicious. They offer fresh baked bread while we waited for our starter. From the starter to desert, we had no complaints.
What a stark contrast of dining experiences from Mon- great service, meal etc to my last visit on Thurs 9/12 for restaurant week. Waiter who shall remain nameless (because he did not offer it) seem bothered by our presence or that he didnt want to be at work either way he negatively impacted my dining experience and those of my friends who were dining with me.
No offer to replenish bread or butter, asked only one guest if they would like a second beverage. Demi with Braised short ribs was slightly salty, while vegetable portions were appropriate. Unfortunately 3 guests chose the 6oz filet and received varying amounts of green beans from 4 to 6? Both of which by restaurants standards I would was inappropriate. Dessert was disappointing as we chose Prime for the dessert described on the Brandywine Valley Restaurant website-was supposed to be served Glazed Amish Doughnut Bread Pudding-instead we received a "seasonal pumpkin" bread pudding that was cold and lacking in flavor.
After dessert was dropped and as the waiter walked away we asked for coffee that was presented half full in mug like cups-again vastly different from my visit on Mon 9/9.
Would recommend to friends with a warning...
Enjoyed catching up with past co-workers while taking advantage of the Brandywine Valley Restaurant week specials. Great meal at a great value
Creative menu, meals served with perfection. Best pork chop ever. Great for dining if not on a budget, but well worth it.
Always an excellent experience here - this occasion was Brandywine Valley Restaurant week. Great $35 menu selections! Well worth a visit.
Michael and the staff were friendly, attentive but never obtrusive. I will definitely return.
What a great spot. The building itself is loaded with character as it an original tavern from colonial days. Brunch consisted of an assorted buffet of cakes and appetizers with an entree from the kitchen of your choice. All were quite tasty. The staff is as outstanding as the food.
We often go for Sunday brunch. This time I branched out and had the short rib sandwich. It was absolutely spectacular.
It was an ok night! Somehow I cannot say any of the dishes were delicious, just average meal and average waiter a little irritated because we we didn’t decide to order immediately
The food was delicious!!
We had a lovely experience at BP. My only critique would be to slow down the meal. Felt as though the dinner was a little rushed.
Ambiance and food were great. Especially impressed with Alex for his personable nature and service.
Very cool looking place. Attentive servers. Interesting cocktails. But the food was all over the map. Spring rolls were awesome. The flat bread was not. It was soggy. Weird. The beef cuts were awesome but the sear on my cowboy ribeye was non existent. The temp inside was perfect but so under seasoned and no sear made a prime cut average at best. Potato wedges were awesome, the brownie pie was awesome. Overall just ok but paid for exceptional. Not good enough for special occasion or celebration.
Great service, great food, great atmosphere!!! You can tell that the people are proud to work there; as a results it shows.
My husband retired and we went there to celebrate his last day of work. Our food was perfectly prepared. I ordered a filet mignon medium well and it cut like butter. Every bite was delicious. We had a wonderful evening at Brandywine Prime.
Great choice for a 50th anniversary celebration! Our server was engaging and mindful. Food was excellent!
Always a great meal and service !! ( Michael is always a pleasure to speak with.
This go around was for brunch. Buffet set with cured meats, fresh seafood, soup, salad - the fresh grown tomatoes ( by the chef) with mozzarella were so tasty.
Individual quiche and angry eggs prepared from the kitchen with bacon and scrapple - excellent.
Desert did not disappoint either.
Can’t say enough about the culinary and service experience, always a favorite and we keep coming back !
