Brandywine Branch Bistro
Excellent food, spirits, and service. Would have been a 5 if they didn’t bring me out decaf tea. Come on- you serve dessert so you should have a decent selection of tea.
The food and drinks were absolutely perfect. The staff is warm and friendly.
Wonderful food & great service!
My new favorite place
Really wanted to like this place. If you're expecting dinner, check the menu before you go since it is small plates. Very few seating choices. The bar offerings are limited to gin and bourbon, red and white wine (one of each). Only a couple of craft beers and no other soft drinks other than ginger ale. The bartender was clearly inexperienced and the drinks were awful. Servers were unclear on the limited choices (ours did not know what a soft drink was and wasn't sure if they even had them!). Pretty pricey overall. On a positive note, the food was fresh and delicious. Not worth a return visit for me.
First time here, definitely will come back.
Love those gin drinks, not a bad one on the list.
Food was very good. Flatbread special and Smoked Duck Breast Melt were very tasty.
Keep up the great work!
We liked to vegetarian and gf options. My husband thought the mushroom ruben was a delicious sandwich, I had the shrimp tacos without the flour tortilla. It would gave been better with corn tortillas. The kitchen omitted more than the tortillas tho and I had to request the remaining ingredients. The cocktails were perfect!!!
Extraordinary tasting and dining experience! The live music, well crafted spirits, dining experience and service from Kristin made for a really great evening. Looking to bring friends back soon.
The food and drinks were fabulous! Our server was polite, attentive, and helpful. We will certainly be back!
Wonderful experience. We had the chef sampler and duck breast sandwich. Gin sampler which was fun. I enjoyed the bourbon old fashioned
Beautiful space - clean and creative environment! We had no idea that this gem existed. Food was fresh and service was incredible. Cocktails were perfectly crafted for us!
Beautiful barn, romantic setting. Great food and craft drinks. I found a bourbon I actually like! Service was wonderful and very attentive.
After frequenting a local tasting room weekly who serves their spirits in cocktails, my husband and I had to stop in to pick up a few bottles of our favorite gin and bourbon. We decided to have a few cocktails and a bite to eat. The service was great, Marissa was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was fresh and delicious. We were told most of the ingredients were local. We shared a large cheese plate, and my husband loved the tomato basil soup and fish tacos. I had a veggie burger with fresh avocado and a salad. The decor was unique, somewhat midwestern and the ambience was very relaxed. It’s a little pricey but definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend, and we can’t wait to return!
This is my 3rd visit for lunch. Its a 45 minute drive, so you can be certain it’d have to be 100% worth it. HOWEVER, why a tarot card reader hanging out in the distillery culling clients from the bar??! In my opinion, unwise gig.
So happy I found a neighborhood gem only 10 minutes away. This will def be added to the rotation!
WOW. WOW. WOW
Nice place to enjoy a well crafted drink and a lite bite. A breath of fresh air and a welcome break from the typical bistros and pubs that dot the Main Line and surrounding area. Interestingly enough, the modest menu enhances the place and doesn't try to turn it into something its not. We stopped there on a late Saturday afternoon and found it quiet, charming and welcoming. There should be more places like this.
It is always a good time at Brandywine Branch Bistro! The food is delicious, the space is cozy and fun and the staff is thoughtful and very friendly!!
Food was pretty good but we arrived early and sat at the bar for a drink until our table was ready. Waited 15 minutes to be waited on and then waited another 10-15 minutes for the drinks to be prepared. By then the table was ready. Overall a little stuffy for our taste and drinks we had were not exceptional. A bit pricey too.
Good food friendly service will definitely go again!
Everything was tasty.. drinks were phenomenal ! Only thing that was disappointing were the sautéed mushrooms. Hardly any flavor, boring. But they were kind enough to take it off our bill
Had been looking to go here for a year. Excited but disappointed. Smaller than expected. They had a guitarist that was good but too loud for the small space. The drinks are all gin or whiskey based and I’m not a drinker of either, but all the cocktails were fabulous. Service was good but our server kept saying we ordered too much food.. We ordered pretzel cheese plate and we ordered the ENTREE empanadas. Thank goodness we didn’t listen to her as the apps were super small (we had 4 people) and the apps were just enough. When we ordered dinner there were not many options and there were NO MEAT OR CHICKEN OPTIONS (despite meatloaf being on the online menu) the specials were salmon or crab cake (note only ONE) and they were good but again small portions but at least had sides. The rest of the entrees had no sides. We each ordered a dessert, which we normally don’t do, but we were all still hungry. The food was good, but for the price it was not worth it. And each of us had to stop for a snack after. Not worth the $240 bill.
This place far exceeded our expectations! Food was outstanding and service was incredible. The spirits are fantastic and beer choice was great.
The atmosphere was nice, bourbon was real good. The food was tasty but the menu is very limited. Overall a great first visit. We all enjoyed it very much.
It is such a cool place to gather with friends. The menu leaves a lot to desire but what we did have was very good just very limited. Service was lacking but very nice and polite.
Good 1st experience service could be stepped up somewhat.
Will differently return
The drinks are the best. I love the limited menu and the atmosphere is ideal. The live music also adds to a very nice evening. I live in Elverson and it is fabulous to have such a nice place so close.
Excellent drinks, food and service! Highly recommended!
I love Little plates and tasting the different spirits. Their gin is so unique and I love the variety. I think it would be even better with a tapas style menu. I do wish the servers had more knowledge about the flavor profile instead of just handing over a paper with all the descriptions, but they all looked very young. The service was excellent and timely. I always appreciate when a server is attentive to refilling my water and clearing plates. Hopefully next time my husband and I go we’ll be able to have a tour of the distillery.
We come here almost monthly and are always given outstanding service, excellent accommodation to food allergies, and the food and drinks are delicious!
Third time here, didn’t disappoint. Brought foodie friends and they loved it too. Great cocktails and handcrafted spirits.
I absolutely love this place! The atmosphere, food, and staff are amazing!
Good food paired paired with gin distillery - unique gin blends.
My friend and I keep coming here to get together because the food and drinks are great, and we have some food allergies to accommodate, including Celiac disease. The Chef always does an amazing job identifying the meal options which meet these needs or can be modified to do so, and the cross-contamination is always taken care of as well (which can be an issue for those more sensitive). Love the ambiance and the aesthetic, also! Such a great find.
Fun atmosphere, beautiful setting! The menu is small, but everything is good, and it is a fun experience in beautiful surroundings.
Very cozy and the drinks are great! We already made our new reservation!
Fantastic people. Very knowledable and fun. Great drinks and food. A MUST see
We love the atmosphere. The service was great. They had a glitch with Open table. Open table said there were booked except for 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00. So we settled and took the 6pm reservation. When we got there the place was empty. So we pretty much had the place to ourselves. They had a singer/guitarist. He was good but was too loud. The food was expensive for what it was and it was very good. We wish they had a chicken dish, a steak dish and a fish dish. Instead of just on top of a salad.
Cute place but they were out of every entree. Female bartender was nice but embarrassed about the lack of food. Literally there were only two dinner entree options left. Got a Rueben sandwich that was made with mushrooms not corned beef. Must have missed that description on the menu. Not very good. Ended up going to Sonic for a burger afterwards. Gin and cheese plate were tasty but don’t go expecting a good entree.
