We very much enjoyed our meal at Brandywine Branch Bistro. They make fabulous cocktails using their homemade gins and bourbons. The cheese plates and charcruterie are all from local sources and are outstanding. Entrees were well crafted and delicious. Service was very attentive and friendly.

Gin tasting, waitress, intimate rustic venue great. Food not so good - appetizers/ small plates not good, sandwiches simply okay.
Unfortunately, we had a drink mix up and an alcoholic drink was served to my non-drinking friend. That's a big mistake. We also had 2 servers, one when we initially sat down and then another 5 minutes later. They eventually worked it out. Restaurant still has a little organizing to do, but I have hope they will get it together between servers, kitchen, and bartenders.
Took my wife here for the Mother's Day brunch. The small initmate setting was ideal. The food offer for the brunch was superb. Grilled Vegetables , salad, two fantistic tasting fratatas, Lamb sausage and soup with a nice assortment of breads. The best was the Bloody Mary's made with your choice of the gins that they distill there. Looking forward to making dinner reservation.
Overall, very fine. Drinks were top notch, delicious. Duck melt very tasty, Caesar salad also very tasty. Mushrooms in bourbon too pungent, could be cut with some butter. Environment as cozy as could be. Staff attentive and warm.
My wife and I loved our experience at Brandywine Branch Bistro. We enjoyed a fantastic tasting of their in-house distilled gins. The bourbons were delicious as well. From there we enjoyed a few appetizers and then finished with the Kielbasa and the Pulled Pork. The servers were fantastic and friendly. The food was excellent. The only point of disappointment was the Gin Mule made with their Jalapeno Gin....it was just missing the typical mule kick. You could taste the jalapeno gin, but I'd recommend they consider another ginger beer approach because what they used just didn't work...no bubbles, not enough ginger kick. My wife loved the Old Fashion with the special Cask Bourbon so they can definitely make a mixed drink...the Mule just didn't work. Overall I'd highly recommend this place.
We loved it here! The ambiance was great, the drinks were creative, and the food was just right. We'll be back!
Enjoyed the dining experience. It was a bit pricey for the location and the kitchen was very slow. The menu is limited, but the food was excellent. The dining area is part of an old barn which has been beautifully restored and there will be outdoor seating when the weather gets warmer. Reservations definitely recommended; seating is limited.
Very nice, good gin flight sampler (purchased a bottle as well) , food was great, a small place but nice, the cheese plate is a bit pricey and should be ~$5 less. We will go again.
Wonderful experience - we will return very soon.
I almost don't want to write a review as it will draw more people to the absolute GEM!! and I want to keep it to myself... this is a converted 18th century barn, impeccable décor, fantastic Food... and the Cocktails!!... you have to try their onsite made Gin & Bourbon!... Do yourself a favor and find this place!

It is known for its gin drinks, great variety of cocktails. Service is good , friendly, helpful and they remember if you are a return guest. Drawbacks are the abbreviated hours and small tables...both excusable for the dining experience.
Four of us, all first time diners at The Brandywine Bistro, enjoyed a delicious dinner on Friday night. We all agreed that the food was creative and tasty, the ambiance was lovely and rustic, and the staff could not have been nicer. Thrilled to have a great restaurant out here!
The service was outstanding, exceptional, the best. The hostess was energetic, gave us an explanation of the distilling process-wonderful. Our server was superb-attentive, engaging-perfect! The cheese offering as appetizer was beautifully presented and delicious. The warm persimmon hazelnut salad was excellent. Atmosphere was charming. My entree- the stuffed acorn squash was served lukewarm- not a good thing. Presentation was good but would not order again. The other entree ordered was the pork chop- again, presentation good, but meat was tough and no appropriate style cutting tool was offered. Bland taste.
Lovely atmosphere, drinks were above average, appetizer/salad were superb. Entrees, in my opinion, were quite lacking.
Go for the drinks and appetizers. You will enjoy these.
we sat in the distillery room which was fun and private but cold - wear a sweater if you opt for that. the soup was like warm but tasty The gnocchi was small and not enjoyable - too much vinegar flavor for me. it took 90 minutes to get our main dishes so it was a long and disappointing meal. But the owner heard about our evening and reached out to us. Really impressed with his response and planning to try again sometime.
The drinks are excellent as is the food. This is my new favorite place. Very small inside so reservations are necessary. They don't have a lot of seating. The bar is awesome.
Nice place, but prices are way out of line. We could have dined at far nicer establishments for the money.
