Food was very creative and of high quality! Service was outstanding! Just a bit high priced in comparison to comparable restaurants in our opinion.

Loved everything about our meal and the service...literally did not have one item off the menu we weren’t blown away by. Our only complaint was being seated at a tiny two-top in between larger parties when they were several open tables in the restaurant.

Been to Brando’s many times and have never been disappointed. From its signature Lazy Lobster and Chocolate Soufflés through nightly specials, Chef Paul Brandl melds creativity with consistency. This BYOB is definitely worth a visit.

New Year’s Eve dinner
We have dined at Brandl many times and always enjoyed our meal.
Last nights dinner was awful and was ridiculously overpriced.
It was a prix fixed for New Year’s Eve .
We were served a tiny amuse that was cold .The appetizers were also quite small.
I ordered the lobster and it was also cold and I think it was bad as it had a funny smell to it
My husband had the scallops, they were ok. The dessert was inedible.
Overall it was a bad meal for 240 dollars without wine as Brandl is a BYOB.
Very disappointing!!!!

The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. It is a more casual setting than previous years. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. My sister and I both had the lazy lobster for our dinner which we did enjoy along with the risotto. The lobster was tender, not chewy at all. We enjoyed the sauteed fois gras and fresh oysters as appetizers. The chocolate souffle' was okay but not outstanding. Our reservations were early so the noise level was minimal but as the room filled at the end of our dinner, the room was becoming louder.

First time dining here. Chose it from OpenTable as we were in Spring Lake for an event. Lovely place and nice location on The Plaza. Hard to find if you are using Maps apps. Had to call for directions and we were two blocks away. Everything we ordered was well done. Service was efficient but not annoying. We didn't have wine with us, but the hostess directed us to a liquor store right across the Plaza. We had the mushroom risotto, short rib sliders {fabulous), squash soup, bacon salad and brick chicken. A little trivia, the great black lantern lights throughout were rescued by the owner from the damaged Belmar boardwalk after Sandy ! Would definitely return.

Food was great, very quite and calm. For a Friday night the place a chill. My fiance and friend had the short rib my brother ate the duck and i had the filet mignon. My only Complaint is I asked for it to be medium rare Nd it came out well done but being hungry I ate it anyway and the meat was still juicy with good flavor. I would go there again

We arrived with an Open Table reservation. We were told to wait. When I asked about the two empty tables, the waiter rudely and sarcastically told me we would have to wait for the other 8 parties still to be seated. And it was so noisy there, we would not have been able to talk. So we left. (I had to click every item above. The food and value ratings are not real.)

My husband & I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Brandl’s on Nov.11th. We forgot to bring wine and the waitress quickly arranged for one of the employees to purchase a bottle for us locally. Although it was quite cold outside, the employee refused to accept a tip for purchasing our wine, which we thought he well deserved. Our meals were served in a very timely fashion & were superb! I had the delicious short ribs & my husband thoroughly enjoyed his scallops over risotto. I am gluten free and had ample choices from their exquisite menu. We heartily recommend Brandl’s for an amazing dining experience!!

Always love our meals at Brandl. This was also restaurant week so enjoyed three courses and items I may not have otherwise chosen. Loved the cauliflower soup---a wow! And I had monkfish and enjoyed but everyone at table had something different and loved it all. Also---my friend was met with great accommodations for his food allergies. So that is also very much appreciated. We'll be back soon.

Very satisfied with our meal prepared by Chef Anthony, from the roasted cauliflower soup, garlic oysters, Chinese five spice homemade paperdelle pasta, monk fish, lamb chops... and topped off with the pumpkin cheesecake and apple strudel ...Can't wait to go back

Maitre'd / Floor manager was rude and did not greet us at the hostess stand. Ignored us and acted like we hadn't been standing there for 5 minutes. Food was super pricey for a very small portion. Appetizers were better than main courses. Waitress was delightful though.

We went here for our anniversary and it was one of the best meals we ever had. Lobster risotto and crispy duck were perfection. Topped it off with a white chocolate raspberry soufflé...like nothing I've ever tasted. FANTASTIC!!!!! Expensive, but worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Very bad, seated next to bathroom door, asked for different table, he said No!. Waited 15 minutes for someone to come over, no one ever did, got up and left. He asked what's wrong? I said never again! The place is going down hill!

We went last weekend for restaurant week, and will definitely come back. The food was great!, and it's byob. I've already recommended it to a number of people.
I gave it a four because of noise level and ambiance. It would be nice if they had a fireplace, since the food is very comforting.

Never saw the waiter other then when he took the order, and gave us the bill. Our water glasses were not filled until he handled us the check. Granted it was restaurant week, and busy...staffing was inadequate and they were very busy.

The first person we spoke with made us wait for our 3rd person to arrive before he seated us even though he had reservations. The a la carte menu got a bit ridiculous when we were charged $12.00 for a side of mashed potatoes, and the server brought my friend a crabcake when she ordered scallops. She didn't want to make a stink about it. He/they was/were very pleasant on the other.
