    Chicken wing appetizer, salmon special, linguine w/ clam sauce all above average. Outdoor searing was nice on a comfortable summer evening. Plaza weekly Friday concert music is what you would expect….so Friday evenings are a bit noisy…..but that’s the only “gotcha”. Would recommend.

    This was our 2nd time and it did not disappoint! The food was so delicious. The steak was done to perfection! Everything was just as good as it was the 1st time we went. Our server Vincent was awesome! Great help in making a decision when a couple of us were in between 2 things. Great suggestions!!! We’ll be making this a regular spot for our date night.

    This is our favorite local dining spot. Food is consistently executed with delicious layered flavors and plated simple by elegantly. The seared scallops were scrumptious served with sweet potato chorizo and Brussels sprout hash with lemon pepper aioli and chili oil pulling all the flavors together.

    The minute you walk in the ambiance of this place is welcoming. From the friendliness of the host, the server telling us the additional items not on menu, also the menu itself, everything was wonderful. We also ordered the special dessert that takes time to make... Omg!!! To die for ....

    Love Brandl, it has to be the best value restaurant in NJ. We went for the the last day of Jersey Shore Restaurant Week and both my wife and I had the Prix Fix menu which was excellent. Great friendly service, always great food, quiet and easy to get a reservation, and a BYOB. Brandl is difficult to beat and a we have no hesitation recommending this hidden gem.

    I wanted to like this place, I heard some mixed reviews over the years but always thought of it as a solid place. Hostess seemed a little aggravated to be there. We had a reservation, arrived about ten minutes early, and waited roughly a half hour for a table. We ordered the bacon appetizer and it was quite good, came out in this little smoked display which was pretty cool. We had french onion soup and the lobster bisque, both were marginal but not great. I had the scallops and the wife had steak. Scallops were small, vegetables were cold but were again ok, just not great. Wifes steak was cooked well, but the meal was not hot, seemed to be sitting in the window for a little while. I think the waiter had too many tables as he was very hands off the whole time we were there. Also note there is no bar, so BYOB, no big deal. All in all, we expected a much higher level of service and quality, unfortunately it wasn't close to what we expected, especially for the price of everything. Highly doubt we will be back.
