Never a disappointment. We try and visit a minimum of twice each month, and even managed pickups during the worse part of the pandemic. The food has always been top notch. We ALWAYS look forward to our return visits!!!
THE worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Especially for the price tag. From the angry host to the even angrier waiter.
Four of us had reservations for a Saturday night, upon arrival we found a line of approximately 15 people. Nobody seemed to know what was going on since the host hadn’t approached them yet. We waited over 15 minutes before I could get to the front to attempt to tell him our name, he wasn’t interested. Hex was quite rude and told me to wait……another 15 minutes and we were shown to our table. That too was disappointing. It’s extremely loud inside and our table was crammed in a corner, set for 2. We waited close to 15 minutes before we could flag someone down to at least give us wine glasses so we could open our own wine and pour a glass. It’s now 45 minutes after our reservation and we have a table not fully set for 4 of us and no water no bread and no wine. Finally the waitress shows up who is already extremely busy and now she’s stressed out that our table isn’t set and we have no glasses. She gets us set up and was pleasant enough but seemed overwhelmed. We finally got some menus and I was surprised at the high prices We had been years ago and things had definitely changed. In our mind for entrees where most are priced between 40-55.00, with no salad included we were expecting a much better experience, Instead we had a chaotic evening from start to finish that we felt was over priced. The food was fine, not plated well at all and we had had to ask for bread twice which finally arrived minutes before our meal did. Overall it was not a great night and that was disappointing since we were taking friends out. I’m sure they are short staffed due to Covid like most other restaurants, but in my opinion they need to scale back on filling all their tables and the host needs to pay more attention to his patrons and acknowledging the long wait would go a long way.
Everything was perfect!!
Food was fantastic but portions small. The pricing for the portions was a little off. This was byob so a $200 for two people for a mid week dinner was a little steep. Service was outstanding.
Beautiful atmosphere But the quality of the food does not match the prices 🤦🏻♂️
We had a great meal, and server was excellent….Even though they are shortstaffed because of Covid they delivered a delicious meal and everyone was pleasant. Would totally go back! Shrimp dinner was delicious
The food was good with the exception of the lobster bisque, it was overpriced and had no pieces of meat in it, almost tasted burnt. Scallops, tuna and crab dishes were good.
For 2 people the bill was $127 without drinks. Not worth the price.
It’s a BYOB which Open Table should advise you about,
I would not recommend this place.
I love this restaurant. It never disappoints. The food is amazing especially the white chocolate and raspberry soufflé.
The service was just okay. Definitely need more help or the waiters should work together and help all of the tables. Also my short rib was mostly fat and my sisters steak wasn’t cooked properly. Other than that all the food was delicious.
As always good food and good service with a creative flare
The outdoor porch smelled which is where we were seated. The food was good but not for the price they charged .
The bone in pork chop was good but not worth $55.00. About 9 oz.
The food is always exceptional!
I have never written a review before, but feel this experience warrants one. The open table reviews did make reference to bad service, but we tried the restaurant anyway. Food was very good, service was awful. Very warm in the restaurant. Asked for water and waiter totally ignored us. We tried to order other beverages and again were ignored. We were given bread plates, but were never offered bread. Some of the other tables had bread baskets. After waiter took our initial entree order, he asked if we wanted to order dessert soufflé because it takes 45 minutes to prepare. We said yes and ordered the $27.00 soufflé. We finished our main entrees and waited an additional hour before we asked what about the soufflé. At that point we asked for it to go (two plus hours since we ordered it). He put it in a to go tin and dropped it on the table in pieces and was annoyed. There was plenty of support staff working but they never came up to us, even though we tried to flag them down. Seemed like everyone was servicing a large table in the middle of the restaurant. The cost of the dinner was over $300.00 and it is byob. Service needs to improve.
Been here several times. Want to like it so bad because they do have a meal I like. I keep hoping the staff will get nicer, some of them are arrogant and rude. Keep thinking they’re having a bad day and give them the benefit of the doubt, but it’s been too many bad days! Restaurant uncomfortably warm (the last couple of times we went) and tables piled on top of each other. Sadly, I think we are giving up.
Although the staff was friendly and attentive, we felt very rushed! Each course came out one after another and before even taking a bite of dessert, we were presented with the check.
Great food & service!
Very long wait for dinner. Waited almost two hours. Portions small for price.
Waited an hr for reservations they made but couldn’t keep. Treated rudely as we waited. Tried to seat us outside. Doesn’t have a liquor license. Laughably over-priced. Tourist trap. Good ok but nothing like they way it’s priced.
We had dinner with friends and enjoyed our time at BRANDL. Vincent was our service attendant and he was engaging, attentive and did not rush us. Our conversation was enjoyed over our three course dinner: Large shrimp cocktail, tuna ceviche, salad and n MB aim course that varied from lazy lobster to filet mignon! We indulged snd had both soufflé deserts! Delicious! Every bite! We are regulars at this restaurant snd enjoy bring guests to join us! ❤️❤️❤️
Good food and a very attentive staff that makes you feel welcome. The recipe for a good dining experience
Excellent food quality, friendly service but we did feel a little rushed once we finished dinner. Nice atmosphere to sit outside. Will definitely go back again.
Been to Brandl many times before and was disappointed how close the tables were together even though the restaurant wasn’t crowded. And the prices have gotten very expensive - $12 for side dishes? This time was disappointing.
Everything was awesome- and the food was just as good as we remembered and. The white chocolate soufflé - yummmmmm🙌
Brandl is a regular of ours as food & service are always first rate -
We’ve been to Brandl a number of times and the food is always good. However, unless you get their pre fixe menu, it is too pricey. For $45 lamb chops, at least give a salad.
Menu was limited, ridiculously expensive, and overall food was mediocre at best. We dine out a lot and do not mind paying for good food, but the disappointment in this place runs deep. The $50 lamb chops sat on what was supposed to be a Demi-glacé but was basically a dark salty water. The $14 mashed potatoes were decent. The smoked wings for an appetizer were flavorless salty sticks of nothing. ($19 wings by the way). Service was lackluster but in his defense he had about 15 tables to cover. The only issue is when he did come to our table he was short, not pleasant, and had a little attitude. Ruined the anniversary with a crappy meal.
I have been to Brand’s plenty times, but this experience was different. My scallops we’re terribly salty and it was way to hot for inside dining. I was a little disappointed since I was telling the other couple all about the restaurant.
Waiter smelled and could not keep water filled in glasses. Food was decent but overpriced and has gone way downhill since last time I was there.
Once again an excellent time. Never disappoints.
Always great food at Brandl. Service is excellent, host Paul is very good, Vincent our waiter is always superb.
Always a winner
This is my new go-to place! The setting is beautiful, the service is outstanding. The food is remarkable. Thai shrimp is fabuloso! Pot Stickers are wonderful. Do order the soufflé for the table.
Excellent food and service !!!
This place was great. Really enjoyed
As always, an excellent meal and with their early bird menu an exceptional value.
It was a terrible experience and it was Mother’s Day. Our waiter Vincent did not approach our table. We finally got water when we finished our dinner. The food was great but honestly will never go back and I would recommend anyone to save themselves from that experience and look for another place to eat. The only one that cared about the situation was our hostess not even the management. Disappointing.
Wonderful Mother’s Day dinner. Food was delicious and staff lovely as usual! 💙
Went for mother’s day, food was delicious, service was great!
