It was Valentine's Day and a fixed menu. That was not the problem. Food was very good and enough options. They seemed to be very short staffed and this let to staff rushing, no time for any attention and things hastily placed roughly on the table. Not very romantic.
Totally under staffed and overwhelmed on Valentines Day. We got up from our table and walked out.
Called the restaurant multiple times with no reply. Upon arrival, host was abrupt when asked why calls are not being answered. Food was good, but not exceptional for the price.
There was only one server for the entire restaurant on a busy Sat night! The host assisted when he could, clearing tables, etc but service definitely suffered, frazzled waiter, never came back to check how our entrees came out, hard to flag him down, had to keep asking for water, by the time he came with the pepper mill, I was just about finished with my entree. Note to management: a water carafe and salt & pepper grinder on the tables would be an easy solution. Calamari app was very greasy, would not order it again. The Mahi & short ribs were OK but honestly nothing was outstanding. At this price point, I expect more from the food, service & portion size. This restaurant still seems to be popular but for me, don’t think I’ll be back as I have left with these same impressions in the past.
As always excellent food service ambiance everything is exceptional.
The maitre'd could use some help but nothing that would keep me away.

Brandl is a great restaurant for a special occasion. It is expensive, but everything was excellent. The short ribs were done to perfection and the beef wellington was fantastic. It would have been nice to get a decaf cappuccino to end the meal, but the decaf coffee was fine. The service was excellent, too. Very attentive and everything was timed nicely. Will definitely go back.
Excellent food and service for a special dinner! Bring your own wasabi if you like wasabi with your tuna. They don’t give wasabi out with your tuna.
One of my favorites because of the quality and variety of the food. Friendly staff with a touch of humor!
Food was good but it was not a relaxing dining experience. Felt like we were being rushed out. Wasn’t very busy and there was still a big table finishing so didn’t understand the rush.
Not sure I will return.

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. We should have left in the first 10 minutes. When we walked in, there was no host to be found. After 5 minutes of just waiting for someone to greet us, I asked one of the 3 waiters if there was a host. He responded in a rude tone, "yes, don't you see it's busy." Finally, after someone came over to check on our reservation, we were sent to sit at the bar. There were no empty seats at the bar, but it didnt matter because we were never asked if we'd like a drink, for the 15 minutes that we waited. When we were finally seated, it took another 15 minutes for a waiter to come over and take our order. The first course was a half piece of cold potato, in a sour cream sauce, with a tiny piece of chicharron - it was not great. We ordered the scallop appetizer, which was also cold. The scallops were in a chipotle sauce, that clashed with the delicate flavor of the scallops - it was disgusting. For the main course, we ordered the porterhouse for 2. Finally we got something we enjoyed, but unfortunately, it came with 2 sides: creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. The sides were again, cold, and the spinach tasted as if it was straight from frozen - to microwave - to plate. At this point, we decided we'd skip the dessert, which was included in the price, and just bail. We asked for the check, expressed our dissatisfaction, and were never apologized to. It was $235 for 2 people, for this meal. I felt scammed and the people who worked that night couldn't care less. So, for anyone thinking about going here, I urge you not to. There are so many great places to go for that price.
The host/owner barely looked at us or greeted us when we came in and looked & sounded annoyed the whole time. The food was good but it was ridiculously over priced!!! $700 for 4 people?? Food only, no drinks! I should’ve guessed when there were no prices on the menu - I expected it to be kind of expensive since it was New Year’s Eve but I feel they totally took advantage and went way overboard with the price to the point it was rude..unbelievable! Needless to say, none of us will be going back there.
Overall a poor experience, way over priced and very average food, ambience and service! Won’t be returning.

Fantastic as always... this is our “go too” place and Brandl never disappoints.... my Son is home on leave from the Navy and we went to our favorite place with his Family... Paul and the staff was courteous and attentive as always and the seafood and steak was “on point”!!
Both the Strip Steak and Filet Mignon were very tender. Brussel Sprouts were very tasty. The Lobster Risotto with asparagus was great. Everything was delicious!
Fantastic dinner as usual at Brandl. Very good service but it gets a little slower when the place fills up, but, still good. Food is great albeit pricey. BYOB helps.

We love going to Brandls. The Filet Mignon is always delicious and the desserts are are highly recommended.
I had the grouper special. It was the best grouper I have ever eaten. My husband enjoyed the filet mignon. Rating among his top 10. We both enjoyed the burrata. I have already recommended Brandl to my friends

Everything was outstanding! An incredible dinner of appetizers, entrees AND desserts! Favorites of the night included bacon appetizer, porterhouse for two, and the lobster over asparagus risotto. Oh, and the chocolate soufflé was amazing!!! Service was impeccable and everything was timed perfectly. We will surely be back!

I’ll start out with the only positives of this place, the location and it looks like a great place to eat, other than that it’s no better than diner food...... actually I’d rather have diner food than this place and you would save about $60-80 bucks by the end of it. This place I even gave two chances nearly 6 months apart and the second time was even worse, I got the scallop dish first time in tasted ok at the most.... but the second time I barely wanted to eat it, it was soooo salty and my girlfriend got the mahi-mahi which also just was a boring dish. No special taste to it or anything just tasted like they put that on the grill and served it.... should’ve used some of the salt they put on my scallops. Might’ve given it some flavor. Also both times we went, I personally can’t stand the staff they make you feel so uncomfortable, they are awkward and rude. The one guy that I believe wasn’t a server took our order which he wasn’t bad but the rest of them i wish they got rid of needs a better hostess and servers.... but probably should start with making better food especially for the price. And by the way only gave it a second chance because it was a gift card.... so not suggesting anyone to give it a second chance... hopefully not even a first chance
lovely attentive evening. Can not say enough about freshcatch Fridays it is alays a delectable bargain. We go here often. Have had many items on the menu and are never disappointed.
We enjoy Brandl’s Fresh Catch Friday entrees. The portion size is nice for the price and the food is always creative and delicious .
Vincent gave us outstanding service and those soufflés are not to be missed!
Disappointing and overpriced. Haven’t been in a long time and thought we’d give them another try. What a waste of money! The server was inattentive. The chef wouldn’t allow a simple swap of one veg on the menu for another. The risotto on the salmon special was bland. The buratta was small with 12 red grapes for $17. The grilled Caesar was overdressed and seemed like a 1/4 of a Romain heart. The man who runs the front of house came to our table before our entrees were served and, without a word, started snatching up our bread and small plates. I had to stop him and he never even apologized! I like to have bread on hand in case there is a sauce worth sopping up at the end of the meal. The best part of the experience was the new decor - nice mural style art on the walls. We haven’t eaten here for a couple of years and now we remember why. Don’t waste your time.

It was restaurant week, so it was price fixed menu but it wasn’t a sampling of the regular menu and there was only 3 choices per course. The food was delicious but the point of restaurant week is to be able to sample the regular menu for a price fixed deal. Our server and the host had no personality, they were like robots. The decor had character so it was too bad the service was not personable at all. The food was delicious and the decor very pleasing but for the money of the regular menu the wait staff should be pleasant.

Garlic oysters and Lobster main course were excellent. The steak was undercooked initially and was brought back just over medium rare. A great crust though a bit too salty. Noise levels were high. There were several large parties that contributed to that
We used the Restaurant week special and it was delicious !
Portions were very small but food was excellent. The ambiance is very nice.
