The food was bland. All sides are extra and there is no salsa offered. 3 of us ordered street tacos and one drink each and the bill was $130!
Staff very friendly. Last year I came here and we got quesadillas. This year their menu was cut back not many selections and many items on their website are not available now. You have tortillas and cheese already for the other meals why not keep the things people like the most? $28 for a shrimp fajita. I totally understand that things are more expensive now and I don’t mind shelling out for excellent food but the quality was not on par with the prices.
Excellent drinks and entrees!!
Food was amazing, good and quick service, and a great location away from the chaos of pier village!
For the price food was mediocre at best.
The service was good. The food was okay. Everything was a la carte. Had to pay $4 extra for each side of rice and another $4 for beans. We asked to sit outside and was told was full but the whole time we ate inside the tables outside were empty. It was very cold inside the restaurant as the music was very loud. Not my first choice for places to eat in Long Branch.
Servers and the hostess were very friendly. They were a bit short staffed so they didn’t have time to check on us during our meal (we were missing place settings, refills on water needed, etc). Food arrived fresh and very quickly! The overall quality and taste of the dishes were very good. We would definitely dine there again!
This our 4th visit and each time we have absolutely loved the fresh and perfectly spiced Mexican food, delicious cocktails and exceptional service. Our server San was attentive and the guy who brought our food from the kitchen was excellent and quickly bought out more guac for our meals. The view of the ocean from the outside seating is spectacular too!
Food was terrible, over seasoned and lack of choices on menu!
How can you call yourself a Mexican cantina and not offer traditional franchise Mexican dishes such as; quesadilla, chimichanga, burritos, etc. drink prices are ridiculously over priced!
went for dinner after a long day at the beach and it hit the spot! their summer smash is so good and would definitely recommend it, especially after a long day of tanning!
Great view. Good place after the beach
Waited 35 and only received a glass of water. They are under
Great food, great drinks, great service. What else is there?
Best margaritas ever!!!
Food was pricey for what we got.
Went for Father’s Day. Perfect ambiance and scenery overlooking the water. Service ehh. Ordered salads that had absolutely nothing “Mexican” about them. Added chicken to mine thinking would have grilled chicken, and a cup of shredded adobo chicken came on the side. When we told the waiter we thought would be grilled chicken he took it away and nothing was replaced so basically ate a bowl of lettuce and green beans. This is my 3rd time dining here and wasn’t impressed except for the atmosphere.
Absolutely some of the worst food and service. Nachos came out BURNT and came out after dinner. Food was stale. They brought out the birthday ice cream without a candle because they forgot it was a birthday despite calling them ahead and speaking to the waiter. Got lip service from the waiter when we delivered the food. Great view but needs new management……
super yummy! really great food! would return! fun place to eat!
On he pricy side and too spicy was not told it we all enjoyed not me too dpicy
The food was absolutely excellent! However the service was terrible. Once we were seated, no one ever came to our table for about 30 mins to take our order, etc. luckily the hostess was amazing ( Alex) and she was so apologetic and ended up being our server for the night. If it wasn’t for her, we would have left as we likely wouldn’t have been served. This same experience happened to multiple tables around us, one table even left because they weren’t getting served. There was obviously something going on with the waitresses and servers.
Very nice place and the food was great
Ordered the chicken Tinga tacos and impossible chorizo tacos. Both were ok - not that tasty. Guac needed salt or lime juice as well and salsa was also bland. Service was awesome and the view is amazing! Would go back for just drinks.
This was one of our worst dining experiences. They severely cut the menu from what is posted online. The only entree options offered were 5 different tacos and they are tiny. No burritos, bowls, fajitas or entrees. They were all removed from the menu. The guacamole came out in a small side dish bowl with no chips. My husband complained and they brought out more. The dishes were very bland and we all agreed it almost looked like they either ran out of food or the chef quit. We were rushed to order or tacos shortly after ordering apps, or waiter insisted the apps would be out soon. They came out almost at the same time as the tacos. With no chips for the $12 guacamole. I wish I would have taken pictures of the food to warn everyone. Only saving grace was the drinks. I felt terrible that I chose this for my dad's birthday dinner. Very sad!
Overall the food was very tasty and we loved the ambiance. The portion size of the tacos left me very disappointed. For the price, I expected 3 standard sizes tacos and not the mini sized which I got.
Menu was 1/3 of what was online. Very limited choices and very small portions. Very disappointing.
The food was good but the place didn’t seem very clean. The furniture was cheap and chair cushions were stained and dirty. Silverware all had water spots. For such an expensive hotel it’s surprising the restaurant wasn’t above standard.
Could run better, but food is good and setting is nice
Our waiter was terrible (Liam?). Food and drinks were very good.
Great food. Great location. Definitely will be back.
EXCELLENT service & atmosphere! The food was incredible we will absolutely be back!
Our server was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious. The manager was not nice.
Food is so-so and drinks are small and overpriced. Almost $60 for 2 margaritas and 2 non-alcoholic beverages. Otherwise the setting is great with ocean view. Service was good as well.
Food was very good and the fish tacos were surprisingly larger than usual. Definitely won’t need the take them up on the offer for a 4th taco. Only problem was our entrees came BEFORE the appetizers. Little annoying as it shouldn’t happen and they didn’t even offer to take it back or discount us. We could have complained but didn’t want to ruin the afternoon.
We just ate here for the first time. Our order was messed up twice and for Mexican food this isn’t great. Honestly the only thing that made up for it was the great view! Hopefully the food will be reconsidered and make it more flavorful and authentic.
Always great! Food is top notch, great service and great cocktails
The person running the restaurant should be replaced along with the chef. I should not be harassed three times to remind me about my reservation before I get in and then wait ten minutes until I am served. The menu needs to be redone with more authentic recipes. The food tasted basic and uninspired. Same with the drink menu. I won’t go back until ownership redoes the place with all new staff.
We are saddened to hear about your less than ideal experience with us tonight. We appreciate the feedback and will always strive to improve our service and quality of food and drink. Despite these difficult times, we are constantly striving to improve our staff's training and management coverage. We are currently working on our bolstered summer offerings and are very excited to release a new menu, we encourage you to revisit.
Was not a nice experience at all. Won't be going back anytime soon
Overall a great first experience will defiantly be back again
Not at all concerned about customer service. Arrived at 330 on a Saturday during restaurant week. Asked for the restaurant week menu. They checked with the chef and he said it didn’t start until 4. Called up the website to show that the hours listed for Saturday and Sunday were 11-9. Made no difference to the hostess. She is who made the decision not to share the info with manager or chef. Big bummer. Not going back.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. We regret that your visit with us was less than ideal and apologize for the confusion with the restaurant week promotion. We will discuss this matter with our team onsite and use it as an opportunity to continue to coach and grow.
