Branch & Night Drop
We look forward to seeing you at Branch Restaurant and Night Drop Basement Bar. For your convenience, Night Drop serves our full menu to those looking to dine without reservations in a more intimate setting. Be sure to see your Night Drop bartender to place orders for food or drinks.
This was the second time I’ve dined at Branch, and it was great again. I highly recommend the shishito peppers; there are plenty to share. The curried cauliflower was delicious. There are vegetarian entree, as well. It is a little noisy, due to all the hard surfaces, when it’s full. I suggest you try it, if you haven’t yet.
Great food! Great service! We be back!
Loud and cavernous. Difficult to hear conversation and server.
Fantastic food and service in a old renovated bank in East Walnut Hills. The specials are always delicious and interesting, and the cocktails are always fantastic! I will continue to go back!
Menu selection was wonderful. Each dish was beautifully flavored and presented.
Very good food and service. Loved the atmosphere.
Service was outstanding, food was very good. Very loud with dinner tables very close to each other. i.e. Had to squeeze between tables to sit on bench along wall.
Great dining experience at Branch. Yummy cocktails, delicious small plates, and fantastic entrees! Service was impeccable as well. Have to recommend the fries and dipping sauces and fried artichokes.
I was looking forward to testing out this new restaurant. I wanted to go someplace near. I always wanted to see the inside of this building, which has been vacant since I arrived in Cincinnati 22 years ago. The building renovation is well done. The seating is ample, and business picked up rapidly after work on Friday. Food was outstanding! The umami really came through with the large mushroom ravioli. The sourdough breast served an excellent counterpoint with the cultured butter. The crispy Brussels sprouts were a perfect balance of slightly peppery and hot (chili flakes?). And my fave--Crème Caramel--for dessert.
My burger was not cooked appropriately (raw instead of medium) and when I asked for it off of my bill they were incredibly accommodating, offering several solutions and providing us cookies on our way out. Elena was an excellent server and we will be back to try more food for sure based on the service and the other dishes we got!
We showed up at 9:02 PM for a 9:00 PM reservation and they had already dinged us at OpenTable for being a no show for our reservation. The only reason we were 2 minutes late was the ridiculous amount of time it took to pay our bill at the bar (Night Drop) downstairs. When arriving for our reservation there was no table available and we had to wait 15 minutes for a table to open up. The food was so so, but I would not recommend the pork/vegetable dumplings (not good). In the middle of our dinner a drag show started (I am not kidding). If this establishment plans on doing this kind of thing we could have at least been warned. I guess this is a typical thing for Branch on Saturday nights.
Hi there, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Feedback like yours that makes us better. We apologize for your experience at Branch. We have spoken to the hostess, bartenders and the kitchen staff regarding your review. #Heist is our monthly charity event advertised online and in the restaurant. Often a drag show, February's event raised hundreds of dollars for the SPCA. We apologize for the inconvenience and will alert reservations of our charity events in the future. Thanks again.
Great creative food and spot-on service. Loved the drag show after dinner!
We had a great meal! Service was excellent as was the food. I love that it's not your "standard" fare. Lots of interesting options on the menu. I highly recommend.
The wine and solid Vodka Tonic gave rise to many delectable and savory tastes, Mushroom Ravioli and Airline Chicken, served by our server who I wish I remembered his name, a very cordial and bright man.
We were early dinners on the 20th and the atmosphere was quiet. The room is beautifully and skillfully
decorated and the bar, itself is a prize at which to sit.
Had a business colleague in from out of town and needed a good place to dine on a Monday night. Branch more than filled the bill! The food is fresh, savory and inventive, the drinks are outstanding, and the service and ambiance rounded out an altogether great experience.
Checking out the new restaurant. Great menu , will be back to try more of your options!
The service was great!
First experience with Branch. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Cozy. Went for Valentine's day, so we didn't get the standard menu of course. Everything was delightful. We can't wait to return and experience the full menu! Good beer & wine selections as well.
805 sat to our table
915 left without even receiving dinner
Wasn’t crowded. Though full - felt like their kitchen couldn’t handle a full night. Awful time for Valentine’s Day. Need to upgrade kitchen or staff - would not recommend enough
We absolutely love the branch restaurant. What we really love about it is the diversity of the regular menu. Unfortunately on Valentine’s Day it was a preset menu which is fine but $80 a person was very steep and definitely not worth it. The meal was still great!! We will definitely be back but not on Valentine’s Day if it’s $80 a person!!
Great spot. The Valentine's menu was very good, but a bit pricey. Great drink selection pairings though and will visit again.
Brought my Foodie Dinner Group.
Foods, drinks,Service all very good and delicious.
Unfortunately we were placed by the rear door, which people kept going in & out of !!
It was very cold that evening!
A table near us asked to be moved.
And we did too , but our party (8)was too large.
Maybe a sign could have been posted " for ER exit only"?!?! Especially on this cold night?!
Other than the cold draft---- people liked the Restaurant.
It was new to everyone except me--- the Organizer !
Think about that back door !
Thank you-- will return!
Horribly noisy. Acoustical modifications desperately needed. More vegan options needed.
I will definitely be coming back. Great food!!
The noise level is such that table conversation is not sustainable.
Our service was very scattered. Entrees were served at varying times. Menu is eclectic and expensive
One diner tried to order a single malt scotch and server
Never did give any suggestion of what the bar had in inventory but only knew of a blend
Likely we will not return
I was excited to go to Branch after frequenting the Littlefield for many years and it did not disappoint. I loved my gin sampler, it was a great way to try multiple gins to find out what you like! For dinner, both the black garlic short ribs and the salmon special were cooked perfect and seasoned well. The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and the drink selection was vast. Thanks for a wonderful evening, and I can't wait for another occasion to drop in!
We would return. It was our first time. Loved the flavors. Good vibe.
Would love to have more free parking
We were there for my boyfriend’s birthday. When we sat down two friendly waitresses surprised us with 6 oysters & two small glasses of Prosecco. They saved us the last 6 because their inventory was 100 oysters short! It was so nice that they saved us some. Thank goodness I mentioned it in my reservation.
Because we only had 6 oysters, we wanted a little something else. The waitress described this beautiful wagyu steak. We were thrilled & ordered that!
HUGE LET DOWN! This was falsely advertised as wagyu. My boyfriend worked in a butcher shop so he knows the ins and outs of steak. You are tricking those who don’t and way overcharging. False advertisement. A true wagyu steak does not have tendons still intact. It was tough, chewy and hard to cut. True wagyu should pretty much fall apart and melt!
I can’t believe you would false advertise! Your establishment wears a mask of being elegant, not shady.
If it wasn’t for the nice surprise & sweet waitresses, I would rate this dinner less than a one star.
It shows poor leadership on the back of the house and management for allowing the waitresses to read such a false script to loyal, well paying customers.
I myself work in hospitality so I can compliment the waitressing staff & bartenders, but the management & back of house......needs major improvement.
Delicious dinner- served graciously-really inventive cocktails.
Overall a good experience. Enjoyed the salmon eggs benedict for Sunday brunch on a far above average English muffin. The interior is unique, with a sky-high ceiling and fun owl adornments throughout. Will definitely be back to try their dinner.
Delicious! Great service! Fun Drag show!
Always innovative food without re-creating the wheel.
In other words it’s about food. Quiet enuf to talk too and no TV!!
After having to wait over 45 minutes for our table despite having a reservation, we didn’t have high hopes that the dinner would go well. However, the food was excellent and the service was quick. I would have appreciated if the bread and butter was complimentary rather than a paid appetizer. And if you have to pay for it, it should be a bottomless serving rather than 5 tiny pieces. It was a little ridiculous. We also had a cheese board (interesting, but wasn’t a fan of about 1/2), artichokes and cauliflower shareable plates as appetizers. All were very good. Out party of 6 had a fish special, airline chicken, burger, flank steak and two Korean Short rib. The Korean short ribs were the most unique item we tried. It was a build your own lettuce wrap type meal and delicious. One order was about 1/3 fatty grizzle, but the other order was entirely meat so I guess it’s a crap shoot, but both were tasty. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, although the chicken was bone-in and he said it was a little difficult to eat.
The dessert was unremarkable, so it was ok that we only got 2 of the 3 we ordered. The brownie was very solid and difficult to eat. We also had the apple upside-down cake that didn’t have a great deal of flavor. We also had the house made Irish Cream, which was ok but needed a little more alcohol flavor.
The most interesting part of the evening was certainly the unexpected drag show after dinner. Quite the production and made for an interesting Saturday night! We would go again.
Had a great meal at Branch with family in from out of town. The food was awesome and the building and atmosphere were fantastic. We shared a number of starters that included curried cauliflower, halloumi and fried artichokes. They were all very good with unique and surprising taste profiles. For our main courses everyone opted for one of the evening specials which were a fillet and a fish special. Both were awesome. We tried a number of the cocktails and really enjoyed them. We wrapped up the evening by having a couple of drink in Night Drop, the basement bar.
Distinctive food with good service. We greatly enjoyed the tastes, textures and appearance of our starters and entrees: the Israeli salad, seared halloumi cheese and veggies; and white fish special entree. The server was friendly and efficient.
I tried the green curry mussels - they were great. Not only did they have nuanced, delicate flavors, they were huge! Best mussels in town.
Crab cakes were wonderful!
Food was good! We shared the dumplings, short rib, and the salmon special. Salmon was a little under cooked for my liking. Craft cocktails were delish! Ambiance was very cool. Prices were a little expensive.
