Good food and service in a nice environment. I would dine there again
The Chef is extremely creative with an intention to detail. The Mushroom & Leek Galette had a robust flavor and beautifully presented. The Pork pot pie was tender and a treat for the Winter night menu. Always a winner in Haddonfield
We had another great experience dining at Braise on Saturday night!!!
We went for Valentines Day Saturday, ambiance was super cute and the food was very delicious, would recommend this place to anyone
Perhaps for a party of two Who are not very hungry -for six people the small plates were not enough -especially when with it was suggested that we order them and share -cutting up those tiny plates into six pieces was actually silly...
Braise 116 is an amazing restaurant from the ambiance to the incredible food. The servers are knowledgeable and enthusiastic and add to the overall experience. Cannot wait to go back again.
Meal was very disappointing. The chicken was raw, the tuna sliced too thick on a very tough potato pancake, the chicken pot pie soupy, and EVERYTHING was a ridiculously small portion that charged as much as a FULL plate and was not really shareable at all. Only highlight was our waitress who was friendly and awesome.
Carrone was our server and she was fabulous! My friends and I (8 of us) had a wonderful dining experience. The food was unique and quite tasty. Service was beyond compare and friendly but not intrusive. Great recommendations and knowledgeable about my issues with gluten as a Celiac. Thank you we will be back!!
The food took almost an hour for the first plate to come out for a 6:45 reservation on a Saturday night. Quality was ok but not exceptional. Small plates are very limited portions— priced like half an entree but sized like a third to a quarter of an entree. Still hungry when we left and we are not “large portion eaters”— usually order a salad and appetizer when I go to dinner.
It was fun sampling different kinds of small plates. Everything was well prepared and delicious.
Loved this place! The food was amazing!!! The space was very inviting and the decor was very nice as well. The husband and wife owners were so sweet . I definitely recommend to anyone looking to try a lot of amazing food. We were 4 people and ordered a ton of food- all shared and got to try a lot of different and interesting foods. This would be great for just a few people or a big group!
This restaurant is really a diamond in the rough that must be seeked out. The food was phenomenal and the service matched. Food comes out as it is prepared but everything flowed really nicely. Great portions and we were a party of 8.
Food was quite bland and lacking any real flavor. Waitress announced how much I tipped when returning the check...not the best feeling.
Enjoyed the small plates, gave us a chance to try a number of different dishes. Everything was very good.
Food , atmosphere and service were great !!!
It was NYE and we had a large party - upstairs - in no rush - but service was really spotty....food was fantastic but often not as hot as we would Have liked.....would go back and try again on a night that isnt a holiday- they seemed overwhelmed
Went on NYE and the service was so slow that we left after two plates. The server was apologetic and nice but to have sat at the table for 2.5 hours and had about 8 bites of food was definitely what we thought we were getting when we decided to go there. The atmosphere is great, the food is okay, the portions are extemely small, the price is a little high and the kitchen is way too slow.
We had a lovely meal on NYE. Server was wonderful, food was excellent. Highlights were the braised beef cheeks over pasta, ostrich, tea smoked duck... Very impressed.
Almost every dish a winner. Especially loved the roasted beets - they are firmer than most other restaurants, and have a terrific maple glaze. The tea smoked duck a perennial favorite.
Went here for lunch with a friend and daughter -- we were the only customers and I truly can't understand why. The restaurant is hidden in the little mall of Haddonfield and really nicely decorated. Our waitress was very helpful since we had not been here before and she answered our questions and never rushed us at all! Our food was great -- one guest had the manhattan clam chowder, she said it was the best she has ever had. For our meals we had the cheese and chauterie plate -- it had lots of italian meats, homemade mustard, apple butter, wonderful bread and cheeses; more than enough for 2 people! Our other plates were the lobster crab rondure, these were absolutely great, lots of lobster and crab in them and the sauce was not overbearing at all; the other plate was the mushroom and leek tart -- again done perfectly. Of course we had dessert since this was a pre-Christmas lunch -- a cream puff, panna cotta with raspberry sauce, and salted chocolate brownie -- all were great!! We will definitely return and truly recommend this restaurant.
Fun menu with a variety of small plates. Vegetable dishes were delicious. This is a great place to go with a group to try everything. Bolonaise on fettuccini was awesome. BYO.
This was my fiancée and i’s first time here and we will definitely be back!
My husband and I recently dined at Braise. It was a last minute decision and we had no idea what to expect. Our food was delicious, fresh, innovative and fun. We tried some new dishes such as the wild boar Osso bucco, and a lip smacking dessert called Elvis Presly cake. it was a poundcake base with peanut butter and crispy bacon. A little scoop of ice cream topped it off. So yummy. The beet salad was really good as well.
Criticism would be that many things were served with an egg of some type. I know this is the new way of adding protein to a dish, but for my taste my choices would have widened had only one dish contained an egg and not 4 dishes. I think the soup sounded very interesting, but did not try because of the poached egg. I do hope that this restaurant flies. Mark is a talented chef. We will return. And I have to try the brussel sprouts with duck bacon.
I loved it! Every plate was delicious.
Waitress was very nice, I believe her name was Lauren. Food was very good. It’s a great place if you are looking to try something different and have a nice little romantic night out. It is also a BYOB so bring some wine!
Food here is always good, but there was a paella special this night that was extraordinary. Hope we’ll see it on the menu again.
My husband and I stumbled on Braise through Open Table after original date plans fell through and we couldn’t have been happier!! We had never been before and will absolutely be back! The food was amazing and service was wonderful!
At the last minute, we booked Braise. What a wonderful find! Tasty, creative small plates with a friendly and classy waiter.
The service at Braise is wonderful and the restaurant itself has a lot of potential. That is pretty much the only positive thing I have to say. The food was pretty awful. We had the tuna latke, which was a horrible pairing. The latke was dense and not seasoned well and the tuna was not fresh at all. The crab and avocado salad was also not fresh and tasted terribly. The crab was soggy and stringy. The shrimp and grits had zero flavor and was missing seasoning across the board. The one good plate that we did have was the octopus- which was surprisingly delicious after all of the disappointments from the other dishes. The restaurant market is tough here in South Jersey because there is fantastic food everywhere. So, it is no surprise that on a Saturday night the restaurant was empty.
After reading all the great reviews on Facebook, I would say we were pretty disappointed. The grilled octopus tasted like imitation octopus (if there’s such a thing) and the cheese & charcuterie for $22 was such a rip off. The small board was 3/4 empty. I understand small plates, but I don’t understand charging the same as any other place with big plates. I had a huge charcuterie board at a beach resort for $21.
Total let down! Totally thumbs down!
I gave 4 stars because it was pricy for small plates (very small plates comparing to other Tapas restaurants).
Wanted a reasonably-priced BYO that wasn't Italian to grab dinner before a show at the Ritz in Haddon Twp. This was a great spot for that. Inexpensive small plates - three of them plus two tiny desserts for under $40 before tip. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Would go again.
We all had such a great meal. We were 5 people and we ordered 10 plates to start . We loved it all then we added another 3 plates of our favorites. Perfection. The service was great. They brought 2-3 plates out at a time. So much fun to dine this way.
As always, everything was wonderful; a real find! I have already recommended this place to several of my friends
Small plates were very good. The feeling I got from looking at the restaurant website didn’t translate into the dining experience I expected. The server looked overwhelmed having to wear many hats by seating, serving and clearing tables by herself. She did the best she could but you could feel her stress.
The restaurant in my opinion is very dark I would suggest either a major makeover or change locations.
Service was disorganized and they needed much more help. First two courses were not good. Meatballs dry and over cooked. Salad was pathetic. Gespacho too spicy. Third course was good. Fried chicken and briskit.
Food was good but service was too slow. Maybe under staffed??
My wife and I had some bowel issues the next day. The only thing we had that was the same was the grilled vegetable salad. I'm not say it was the salad ,thought it a little odd. I'd give it another try
Enjoyed our visit. Enjoyed the small plates we ordered. BYOB.
