Since we were having a nice sunny day, decided to go someplace new for dinner. We are very glad we choose BowEdison Fine Food and Drink. The atmosphere was inviting and the decor was perfect. The food was fabulous and the service was the best we've had in any eating establishment. We will definitely return.....often.
Excellent all the way! This was my second time there. Both times food was excellent and staff friendly and timely. Rare to find a place that has it all.
Food was amazing including great cocktails. Service was great
Valentines 2018 homerun! My hubby and I sat at the counter and watched the action in the open kitchen while enjoying the following small plates - saganaki (flamed cheese on corn torts...amazing), kale salad (dressing was scrumptious), bbq brisket tacos (yum), roasted cauliflower (tahini sauce worked well), cornmeal blini (smoked salmon was fork tender and delish) and because my husband needed a bit more food than I did, a mini burger and fries (yes, I finished his fries!). We left so happy; the kitchen staff was friendly and our server couldn’t have been more accommodating or sweet. And I appreciated the no-tipping policy and trust the employees are compensated well. They seemed happy too!
Excellent food and beverages. The creativity of the chef is complemented by the creativity of the bar tender. Another lovely evening.
The menu was a bit limiting...wish they had a few more options.
Quaint restaurant, great ambiance, food was delicious, and great signature drinks.
The menu choices were somewhat limited. I believe they try to source locally which is good. I like the fact that the gratuity is already added and doesn't require extra figuring. I'm not sure how often the menu changes, but a larger variety would be appreciated. It is nice to see vegan/vegetarian choices. Staff was nice. We brought our own Christmas decorations as we were told they would not be decorating for Christmas. It was a nice experience.
Mixologist Grace is very talented in crafting her cocktails. We have yet to have a dud here. And now they have a fun secret cocktail special for email subscribers. Favorite dishes are curry, chicken livers, and the octopus (which I think is seasonal). Only been here once for breakfast, but that was delicious too. And Caffe Vita coffee.
We had brunch for our first visit here and it was great. Will be back for dinner!
We enjoyed a beautiful meal -- I indulged in the excellent fried chicken and my husband had an awesome beef burger and a tasty draft beer. My martini was also excellent and they were generous with the olives! Service was friendly and attentive. We would go back again definitely!
This was my second visit and it was just as lovely as the first. Everyone at the table was surprised by the quality of the food and service. It is especially nice that the restaurant refuses tips as they pay the staff a livable wage and also profit share. It's one of my favorite places these days.
Excited to find this place had a vegan option on the menu. Unfortunatly, it wasn’t very inspiring. The baked beans were underdone and spaghetti squash was basically flavorless. Cocktail was great. I would be willing to try this place again if I ever find myself in Bow again because the ambiance was great and so was the service. Hopefully, the misstep won’t be repeated in other seasons.
Excellent meal! The fish curry was amazing.
The four of us were extremely pleased with our lunches...server lacked personality which we all commented on and then we got the check and realized it was a no tipping establishment. Then it made sense.
This was our second trip here and it was good again. The salmon latkes were excellent, the pancakes were ho-hum. The speculoos was a little too thin and lacking flavor. Service was great again.
Farm Fresh and Innovative Meal that went above and beyond attention to detail from the moment we walked into the Bow Edison celebration of their 1st anniversary. I was one of my top 2 dining experiences ever! Thank you for a memorable evening of incredible food, service, art and music in a friendly and familiar setting. Simply the best!
We are familiar with Marty's previous restaurant The Agate Pass Café and have been wanting to try BowEdison since it opened. We finally got our chance and we were very pleased. Quite remote but worth seeking out.
This was our first time here and it was great! We had the salmon bellinis, seafood curry, and vegetable sautee and all were great. Dessert and cocktails were good too. Tip is included and the service was great. We enjoyed it so much we went again two days later for brunch.
We liked every dish and drink we had - happy hour beer, wine, and starters - such as the deep-fried house-made pickles - dinner menu starters and main courses - such my the pork pasta main - and the one dessert we shared - a pot de creme. NB service is included in menu prices, which is a good model in my view. Full bar, decent selection of beers and by-the-glass wines.
Took friends here for dinner. First, our server greeted us using my wife's name since she made the reservation. I had the curry with cod, my wife had the pork with noodles, our friends had the salmon with blackberry and the cordon bleu. All were very good, but we felt the pork with noodles was our least favorite. Our server was charming, playful and efficient. Now, hang onto your hat! This restaurant is a no tipping establishment. It says so on the bill and the server will also tell you.
Service was great! Food was absolutely delicious and the wine was superb. We had a perfect martini before dinner as well. The chef does a great job with seasonings and food pairings. What a great place!
We love everything and friends & family that we take there love it too. The food is always delish. The staff is friendly and efficient. Can't be beat for any occasion.
I have eaten at BowEdison Fine Food and Drink about five times in the last three months, and it is definitely worth the drive from Bellingham. Besides the scenery of Chuckanut Drive, you have a friendly and wonderful restaurant awaiting you in Bow with excellent service and delicious culinary creations. I find it a wonderful place for dining for two or more people, whether after hiking or simply getting together with friends.
We've been to Bow Edison for brunch and for dinner, most recently for dinner with a crowd of 7. We had a wonderful experience - creative and varied menu that appealed to every person, delicious food, terrific service. This is a great restaurant!
The decor is very appealing however it tends to be noisy which can make it difficult to carry on a conversation. The menu has interesting choices and locally sourced ingredients. Specials are always interesting and creative. The only weak link seems to be service. This is a no tipping restaurant - but we have had the same server 3 times now and the service is not good and isn't getting any better. Without feedback (tipping) a server would never know if he/she is hitting the mark.
Need more vegetarian entrees. The mushroom bolognese was very bland.
My favorite restaurant in two counties! Excellent food, creative, and stellar service. I have been numerous times and I always walk away confirmed that this place remains my favorite.
This is a "non-tipping" establishment. I prefer tipping and believe given this is a 'classy' place, tips would provide more than adequate compensation. Food portions were small albeit excellent. Wines by the glass ranged $8-$12 but only half full.
Great local food with friendly, attentive service! We will be back!
Nice farmhouse dining experience - I enjoyed it. Great to see some dining options in Bow, their presence is welcomed.
Such a great dinner - really good food, amazing and sweet server, and fun drinks. We had a couple appys (with the happy hour menu) and they were amazing. The salmon blinis - wow. We split the fish curry - it was perfection. Lots of veggies and the fish, rock fish, was tasty and perfectly cooked. We will be back!
Having had brunch a couple of times, and now diner, I am most pleased to highly recommend Bow Edison Fine Food to anyone who appreciates good food. Looks like we'll just have to go back so that we can try the other items on the menu.
Food was outstanding - taste, presentation and portion
2 star service and 3 star food at 4 star prices. Probably skip it.
We are locals and have been here several times. The food is amazing & the staff are awesome! At first it was weird to me that it's a no-tip restaurant, but I actually really like that. They have a one page menu, with a good variety which I appreciate!
Excellent wine and the fried chicken was amazing. My dining companion found his steak a bit gristly. Roasted cauliflower appetizer was a great starter. High quality service and presentation of food.
This a Gem in BowEdison. Local ingredients, well-executed dishes, and wonderful staff. They also had delicious reasonably priced wines.
This was our 3rd visit and we've enjoyed each opportunity to go. It was my husband's birthday and although they didn't comp his dessert, they did provide a candle and gave us cards to fill out for a free dessert on our next birthday.
This was a really pleasant surprise. We wouldn't have known about this restaurant - except that we found it on Open Table. It is an easy drive from both Bellingham and Mount Vernon. The food was outstanding with unique dishes. The service was wonderful. The open kitchen concept made it fun to watch food preparation. And, the fact that they pay their staff a living wage so you cannot tip there was wonderful. We can't wait to return.
