    Excellent experience. Food and service were amazing. It’s very expensive though. Shared the Tomahawk, it was awesome. Was fine to share for two. Great place to celebrate a special occasion.

    Hands down one of the finest steak dinners prepared to perfection! We enjoyed the intimate ambiance, attentive service and specialty cocktails. They have a superb wine list. Highly recommend- be sure to make a reservation. Best!

    We celebrated our 16th anniversary tonight and chose Bowdie’s Chophouse from Open Table because of it’s intimate atmosphere and amazing menu. We were greeted by our amazing waitress Rachel with The Last Word cocktails (made with Chartreuse that’s very hard to find these days) followed by excellent Escargot, perfectly prepared filet mignon steaks with potatoes au gratin and a bottle of Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon. The restaurant is small with romantic 40’s music in the background - perfect for an anniversary dinner. So happy we came to Lansing’ MI for our anniversary.

    Food was overall very, very good at the East Lansing location. Service was also good. However, tables are close together, and unfortunately, we were seated adjacent to the bar where a couple of patrons were loud and probably drunk. It was grating and hard to fully enjoy our table company with that going on just behind us - perhaps 3 feet away. The establishment should create more space around the bar, which unfortunately, means eliminating a dining table. I would also recommend a posted attire statement. I'm good with "casual," but at this price point, baseball hats, t-shirts and beach flip flops should be discouraged with at least some better signage and a statement on the website.

    We entered the restaurant from the back parking lot. The back entry could use some cleaning. The carpet on the stairs was filthy.

    Food was good. We had the Tomahawk steak for 2. Not sure it was worth $115, lots of fat, not much meat. We ate outside which was a little dirty. Our server was fantastic, but it did take 45 to get food once we ordered.

    An excellent little gem of a restaurant. Our steaks were without doubt the best that we've had in the Lansing area. Our sides of potatoes au gratin and wedge salad were excellent also. They also have a serious wine list. Finally, the service was friendly and attentive with being intrusive. A wonderful dining experience!

    Staff is outstanding. One glitch with my steak but our waiter and staff were all over it quietly and efficiently. Could not have been handled any better. Looking forward to our next experience at Bowdies. Best Steakhouse in the Greater Lansing area hands down.

    Some of the best food we've ever had. All dishes were popping with flavor, the meat was prepared perfectly, and the simple menu was straightforward. If you want a good steak, filling sides, and excellent service, this is the place.
