The food and service was exceptional. The fried oysters with bourbon was a treat, and the pork chop and shrimp & grits were a great recommendation by the staff. I will plan to return in the future!
Great dinner with Friends - great food, great menu, great service.
The best fillet, mussels and calamari I've ever had. Everything dish melted in my mouth. Great service, great ambiance, great bourbon menu to explore. Took a bachelor party of 9 there and they were very accommodating. With that in mind definitely reserve ahead of time. Every one of the guys said they will remember that dinner for a long while and was mentioned multiple times through that weekend. Worth EVERY dollar. I will definitely be back.
Great food amazing selection of bourbon
Incredible meal and outstanding service. We will definitely be back! Ask for Courtney, she was fabulous!
We had a great evening at Bourbon Bistro. The food was delicious. Our Wait (Ally) was fantastic. She took great care of our needs and very helpful with suggestions and her attentiveness. The restaurant is a hidden gem in the city.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the bar area. The bartender was knowledgeable about bourbon. Then we ate dinner which surpassed our expectations. The staff was friendly and efficient and the food was to die for. We had the steak and pork chop which were both cooked perfectly and we enjoyed the sides that came with them very much. We were treated with their bread pudding which was heavenly. We will definitely be back. A very enjoyable evening.
We arrived early and were pleasantly surprised to learn that Bistro had happy hour. However, you have to sit at the bar for that, which we actually enjoyed since the bar is very pleasant and comfortable. We also enjoyed the bartender who was was friendly and knowledgeable. She made excellent cocktails. Our meal was equally good and the wine fairly priced. Overall, we were very pleased with our dining experience and would definitely go back.
We went here for Easter brunch. I had never been here but I saw it on the Courier Journal list for Easter brunch. I was NOT disappointed. It is a quaint, small restaurant. The service was excellent! The food was wonderful. Obviously the brunch menu is different from a normal dinner but everything that I tried was delicious! The atmosphere is nice. It's small so can get loud. I would definitely go back next time I am in Louisville.
One of my favorite restaurants in Louisville. For someone who wants a genuine sample of the best that the Kentucky staple Bourbon has to offer, this place can set you up. From low end bottles, to rarities, Bourbons bistro has it all. The food itself is thoughtfully prepared, sourcing local farms and stores for the best ingredients the region provides. I have never had a bad meal there, and bring all of my out of town guests here. It's the gem of the Frankfort avenue area.
We had a wonderful dinner at Bourbons Bistro. The appetizer, the meal, and the drinks were wonderful. We really hope to go back very soon.
Wonderful & Delicious 👍🏻
Great food, service and atmosphere. If you’re looking for bourbon, it’s a definite must!
Excellent! Delicious food along with courteous service!
The food was excellent. We both had the filet mignon and they were both cooked perfectly. Service was very attentive. We would highly recommend.
The duck....and the bourbon list..... is amazing!
Desire' took care of us in every way. She made dining a pleasure along with the great food and ambience. Manager stopped by more than once and spoke with us to make sure food was good and we were satisfied. We will definitely recommend and return. Best Groupon experience I have had!
The service and food are always top notch. These consistencies keep being me back
Bourbons Bistro was an excellent choice for experiencing a taste of Southern charm and Louisville sophistication. My business colleagues and I all had delicious meals. I had the gnocchi, one friend had salmon the other had duck. There was also a great selection of bourbon and tasty desserts. I would definitely come back.
Food quality was surprisingly good for such a reasonable price. Server did an excellent job and was very personable and friendly.
We went to Bourbons Bistro for my dad's 85th birthday. The food was perfectly cooked, the service was everything you want, the atmosphere was great, and the drinks were strong. A fun time was had by all. I couldn't be more happy with my experience. Thanks guys!
Loved the vibe, food and service! Fantastic date night.
The food was amazing. Best we’ve had there and all previous experiences have been good. Met the owner who shared his knowledge and passion about bourbon. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. Both first time here. We loved everything from the food to the atmosphere. Our waitress Courtney was amazing ! She definitely made my boyfriends birthday perfect.
Great food and friendly-attentive service
Great menu, atmosphere and drinks!! Always a quiet place to catch up with friends and have a nice double date!
our waitress (server) Courtney was absolutely fabulous
Everything from start to finish was great. We will be back.
The flavors were quite good but overall the food was so so.
The cheese dish appetizer was to die for while the calamari was bland and nothing at all special. My
Entrees we're also hit or miss.
The burger was way over priced at $17. For that price I expected a great burger. This wasn't. Not any better flavor than Red Robin. First attempt at rare was as black as a hockey puck. Second try was cooked properly with a burned black bun. Server said their buns we're supposed to be crispy. The recook took almost as long as the first. Mean while the other 2 dinners we're finished before the recook came out of the kitchen. In the restaurant defense the burger was taken off the bill. Would have been nice to know that and not find out when the check was presented.
Pork chop was excellent!!!
Beef short ribs were also very good. Fell off the bone. Overall the flavor was good but more than a little too salty.
Service was a little slow. Seemed like the recooked burger was not given priority in the kitchen. A recook of a rare burger should have been out way quick. Soon time on a burger is only about 2 minutes per side. A burned bun should only take less than 4 minutes.
Finally value. The same group went to Vinchenzos a week before. Service was perfect. Food quality was unbelievable good. Finally the price for the group was only about $2 per person higher than Bourbon Bistro for a much better overall experience
Great food but two very noisy birthday parties right on the middle of the couples trying to have date night was a big disapointment.
First time here. Likely to return. Great food and staff.
The mussels as an appetizer are a must! I had the short rib with grits. The grits were amazing and the short rib was cooked too perfection but could have had more flavor. I’ve been here several times and this meal was the least impressive, but it was still quite good. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Good food. Wait staff (not our server) attempted to take my salad plate without asking if I was finished...a little off-putting. Filet Mignon meal was delicious! Ambiance is nice, but needs to be just a tad less dark. It was challenging to read the menu with limited light. I would return for another occasion.
An amazing dining experience. Also, who doesn't love bourbon with dinner?
Amazing spot! Will definitely be back! Great food, highly reccoment the pork chop!
Valentine’s Dinner and they didn’t disappoint. Excellent bourbon and wine selection. Wonderful food and atmosphere.
We love eating here. The only complaint I have was that we wanted to order the short ribs but they weren't going to be ready for a few hours. We ended up with Shrimp and Grits and it was a good meal just heavier than what we initially wanted. Service was awesome!
Fantastic, food was as good as it gets. We both had bone in pork chop and I see no reason to get anything else next time. However, I have always enjoyed the steak here too.
The young lady who served us was really on the ball.
BTW, we did share the goat cheese flatbread appetizer. Although it was good,I don’t see anything passing the pork chop served with sweet potato mash and asparagus.
