Great atmosphere, food, and drinks.
Definitely recommended and will go again when in town.
We had a wonderful meal - the food was great - the service couldn’t have been better - we will definitely come again!!
Excellent food, service, & incredible bourbon selection. A must try in Louisville!
Bourbons Bistro never disappoint. I never miss the opportunity to indulge here while in Louisville.
Bourbon Bistro is easily one of my favorite dining experiences in Louisville
We were visiting on a Sunday and very few restaurants were open. We stumbled on this gem on open table and so glad we did! The menu is concise but the preparation was delicious!
Our experience at this place was not a good one. I made the reservations based on the verbal recommendation of people in the Bourbon Community. I did not want to be disappointed but I was very disappointed. The staff was uninterested as to whether we had a good experience, basically unfriendly. Our waitress was apathetic and uninterested in serving us, bordering on rude. The food was not served as described by the menu. It was fair at best. My husband agreed to go to this place based on the 'raving' reviews I told him I had heard. He was not impressed. I even asked if Jason (the owner) was there and was told he was not. I have heard him on many podcast, and had no reason to believe we would have a bad experience. I would not recommend this restaurant.
The food was amazing. We ordered shrimp and grits and a pasta dish. We both got a cocktail and shared the goat cheese appetizer. Would highly recommend.
Mother's Day can be one of the most hectic and stressful days working in a restaurant. Execution is tough due to volume and service is scrutinized due to the elevated occasion. We brought my parents to Bourbon's Bistro this past Mother's Day and had one of the best dining experiences ever! The food was phenomenal and fresh and hot!! The service was swift and kind. My stepfather is English and he said the homemade sausage was the best he's ever had in the US! Making sure your parents have a great brunch you invite them to can be tough, but the staff at Bourbon's Bistro made it wonderful! I have raved about them since we left this past Sunday! The service industry is hard, working holidays and nights and it's tough to not show it, no one at this restaurant showed it! They were awesome! My family and I were impressed, we will be back! Thank you for making our Mother's Day so fantastic! Keep up the hard work!
shrimp & grits were divine !!! cinnamon rolls were fantastic but country ham was tough.
Our server was excellent. most enjoyable!
Made a reservation online, arrived 15 minutes early expecting to wait, was seated immediately. Server arrived promptly, ordered drinks, then ordered our food. Very very good!
I have been to Bourbons several times and always rated it very highly in all aspects. But, they were definitely having issues on Friday night. Our waiter did the best he could, while we waited over 30 minutes for our food and another table still had not eaten when we left. The salad was sugary sweet and the entree seemed as if they put leftovers on the plate. It was a pasta dish with very little pasta and a couple of pieces of cauliflower. It was a very disappointing dining experience, however, I will give the restaurant another try based on past experiences.
We had dinner here after the Derby. The food was great as was the atmosphere. There was a large party that was very loud but I could see the staff was doing their best to get them to be a bit quieter and our waiter apologized profusely. I am sure this was specific to the derby and I would not expect it on another night. Enjoyed our meal and would definately go back if we are ever in the area again.
derby n b day
Made reservations 2 months in advance. On line menu looked good. When we arrived, the restaurant had changed their menu because of Kntucky Derby. Jacked up the prices and squeezed down the menu. My wife had counted on salmon but the "new" menu did not have it on there. We told the hostess that we would not be eating there because of this change and she replies that it would cost us $25 per person to cancel! We then went back to our table and had a glass of wine and an appetizer to avoid those ridiculous charges. The rest rooms were a filthy as well. We will never go back!!!
Could eat the friend ousters and the goat cheese dip all day!
Everything an exceptional restaurant should be; superior service (or server Megan was amazing! ) and utterly-delicious food! Chef Jereme (Semper Fi !) can we take you back to Miami!
Despite a little mix up with the food served, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The good news is that our concern was addressed immediately and gracefully. Fried oysters are to die for. We both had filet that was expertly prepared, tender and delicious. Bourbon selections are over the top. Would have preferred higher quality wine options.
We will return to enjoy!!
The food was great. They had a problem cooking the egg for the excellent Waygu hamburger. Unfortunately, our waiter, Michael, tried to tell us that their definition of over easy/medium/hard is different from our expectations. Huh? Later in the meal, Michael knocked a glass of water over, into one of the diners plate as well as on 2 of the guests. No acknowledgement of these errors on the check. When we suggested they should we were told "we've already run the card". A yelp reference prompted an inappropriate response. The manager finally suggested to Michael that we should be accommodated for the ruined entree. Michael then sat at the bar and pouted until we left. Won't return.
Love the setting. The food's always great. The goat cheese appetizer is wonderful..my only complaint is that the food preparation always takes a while...good service otherwise..definately recommend if you have the time
5 of us. Drinks and dinner. As always excellent. We took after dinner drinks and dessert out on patio with a lovely fire going. Staff was very gracious with our request to do that and checked on us continually.
Absolutely great atmosphere and selection. Food was great and bourbon was better!
We had a great experience at Bourbons Bistro. From the outstanding bourbon list and cocktails, to the tuna poke taco appetizer, to our entrees of pork chop and salmon, it was all very well prepared and flavorful.
Great food ! Great service ! Great ambiance! Recommend it highly !!
I've always been a big fan of this place. The only knock I can give them is they have phased out the luxardo cherries in their high end drinks and that's something I've come to expect in my old fashioned. Other than that excellent service, food and drinks are better than most. Try the maple bacon old fashioned, trust me it's the best drink there.
Incredible food and service as usual! Thanks Mike and Jason for some incredible pours!
We went for Easter brunch around noon with a reservation. Our table was ready on time and there were a fair amount of people there but it was not overly crowded. The food selection was underwhelming and somewhat basic. Flank steak and shrimp and grits were the only two entree type food to choose from. The rest was basic breakfast food including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes. There weren’t any breakfast pastries. Our server made a few appearances but actually left our few dirty plates on the table. I finally had to ask her to take them. My biggest gripe is being charged $10 for a small mimosa. $10. It was certainly nothing special or grand in size to warrant that price. It just seems like such a ripoff especially when other popular brunch places around town charge $1 or $2. All in all nothing special for a holiday brunch and we would never go back.
The Easter brunch buffet was wonderful! We were really impressed with the food and the service we received.
Great dinner! Food was delicious. Chef and staff are friendly. Overall great service.
Enjoyed our experience at Bourbon Bistro. Only comment was the music was a little too loud. otherwise the atmosphere, service and meal were excellent.
Loved Bourbons Bistro. Good specialty drink selection.. tried something new Paper Plane. There were a lot of good sounding menu choices to choose from. The waitress was able to make great recommendations. The ambiance of the restaurant was quaint. It was not super busy when we were there (6:30) so the section was not really full, so the sound level was great for conversation. Highly recommend giving it a try. I had the Salmon and it had some of best flavor of Salmon I have had. Cooked perfectly, nice and moist, excellent!
We had great service, the food was pretty good.
There were 5 of us on a post business meeting dinner. Food was excellent w variety for everyone. Waitress was attentive while being unobtrusive. We had a drink in the bar prior to being seated and can’t say enough on how great bartendersMike and Emma were.
We did apps x3, mains x5(burger, pork chop,2 filets and shrimp/grits) and 2 desserts. Everything was excellent. Everyone agreed one of our favorite restaurants!
A group of 7 people, and everyone was very pleased with their meals, service, atmosphere, and all. Highly recommended!
A phenomenal meal with an amazing drink menu. We were a party of four and each of us loved our appetizers and our entrees. The wings and poke tacos were delicious with great flavor. Two of us had the pork chops and they were delicious. The bourbon bread pudding desert is a must have as well. We will definitely be coming back,
Great restaurant for a dinner date or nice meal. Good bourbon selection and excellent food choices. I did a “build your own flight.” The Wagyu burger and salmon were excellent options. We will definitely go back.
The food was excellent, as well as the drinks. Service was also superior. Great place to dine and relax!
My husband and I dined at Bourbon Bistro on Sunday. The server (Michael) was great.. very attentive, the food was most delicious, and the ambience was very nice. I like to dine at quiet places.. although there were a lot of people in the restaurant, the noise level was very very low and I enjoyed that. Thanks for a great evening!!!!
We are repeat customers - food is great and in my opinion a great value. And of course they have a great selection of bourbons. We highly recommend the fried oysters, shrimp & grits, salmon, burgers, mussels appetizer, and the maple glazed chicken wings. Service was excellent. We like to eat.drink at the bar as well as in the dining room, about 50/50. Experience is very consistent, we've never been disappointed. When the weather is nice, we enjoy sitting out front at the small tables and enjoying our bourbon.
